As an extension of previous reports, the barium carbonate procedure has been optimized in detail for the preparation of apolar columns. The aim was to produce optimum overall column characteristics, and to maintain them unchanged under the prolonged influence of the highest possible temperature. The main parameters under optimization were glass variety, leaching of glass surface with aqueous HCl, and amount of barium carbonate deposited, while deactivation and coating were kept constant. The basic column characteristics were adsorption properties and thermostability of deactivation, acid/base behaviour and separation efficiency. They were determined by a new, quantitative testing procedure. Intense leaching was able to eliminate almost totally the differences between glass varieties and to create a well-defined glass surface. While untreated glass, leached glass, and barium carbonate treated glass showed specific weak points in the respective column quality, the combination of leaching and barium carbonate treatment yielded the highest and most stable quality. Some technical modifications of the preparation procedure are described, including deactivation in the gas phase, and use of pentane as a solvent for static coating.  相似文献

When heated with sodium ethoxide in ethanol 7-methylidenebicyclo[3.3.1]nonan-3-endo-ol (endo- 1 ) is converted into 1-methyl-2-oxa-adamantane ( 3 ). This reaction involves nucleophilic addition of a hydroxy group to an unactivated olefinic bond. Formation of the cyclic ether 3 also takes place when endo- 1 is heated in aqueous ethanol. This electrophilic addition is strongly catalysed by weak acids and suppressed by weak bases. These unusual reactions proceed more slowly with 7-methylbicyclo[3.3.1]non-6-en-3-endo-ol (endo- 2 ) and can be ascribed to a proximity effect. This follows from the IR . and NMR . spectra of endo- 1 and endo- 2 which show strong intramolecular hydrogen (OH-π) bonding. The unsaturated endo- and exo-alcohols 1 and 2 , respectively, undergo only exo-complexation with silver ion.  相似文献

The literature concerning the chemical and electrochemical reactions of nitric oxide, nitrous acid and nitrogen dioxide in aqueous solutions is reviewed briefly, with emphasis on electrochemical reductions at platinum electrodes in acidic solutions. The voltammetric behavior of NO and NO2 at a Pt electrode in perchloric acid is virtually identical to that for HNO2 and this is explained on the basis of a common electroactive precursor concluded to be NO+. Three cathodic waves are obtained for acidic solutions of NO, HNO2 and NO2. The first two waves correspond to reduction of NO+ to NO and N2O3 to NO, respectively. The presence of N2O3 results from decomposition of the parent compounds. The presence of Br- or Cl- in acidic solutions of the title compounds promotes the voltammetric reductions at lower H+ concentrations. This probably results from formation of electroactive nitrosyl halides.  相似文献

The sensitivity of an FID may change when the carrier gas flow rate changes during a chromatographic run. Sample parts which are eluted at reduced FID sensitivity produce a reduced peak area, hence are discriminated as compared to other components. Sensitivity changes were studied for hydrogen as carrier gas. For the detector tested, differences in the carrier gas flow rates of 1 ml/min shifted the FID sensitivity by 1 to 5% (depending on the fuel gas supply). Thus the stability of the sensitivity is no longer ensured as soon as the carrier gas flow rate is changed manually or by an automatic programmer during an analysis. Sensitivity drifts may also occur during temperature programmed runs with a pressure regulated carrier gas supply since the gas flow through the capillary drops with increasing temperature. Such shifts in the response became noticeable as soon as relatively high carrier gas flow rates combined with long range temperature programmes were used. The typical patterns of such discriminations are shown, closing with a discussion on the possibilities for minimizing such undesired effects.  相似文献

Reaction of 1,4-diisocyanobenzene or 4-isocyanobenzonitrile with trans-W(N(2))(2)(DPPE)(2) (DPPE = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane) produced cis-WL(2)(DPPE)(2), where L = 1,4-diisocyanobenzene or 4-isocyanobenzonitrile. cis-(CNC(6)H(4)NC)(2)W(DPPE)(2) crystallizes in the triclinic space group P&onemacr;, with a = 12.848(3) ?, b = 13.596(3) ?, c = 19.072(3) ?, alpha = 78.99(2) degrees, beta = 70.66(2) degrees, gamma = 65.26(2) degrees, V = 2849.8(11) ?(3), and Z = 2. cis-(NCC(6)H(4)NC)(2)W(DPPE)(2) crystallizes in the triclinic space group P&onemacr;, with a = 12.712(3) ?, b = 13.700(3) ?, c = 19.109(3) ?, alpha = 77.91(2) degrees, beta = 70.63(2) degrees, gamma = 64.76(2) degrees, V = 2830.7(13) ?(3), and Z = 2. Both compounds possess a distorted octahedral geometry about the metal center, with the two isocyanide ligands cis to one another. The isocyanide ligands are substantially bent along the CNC axis of the isocyanide group coordinated to tungsten. For the complex containing the symmetric ligand, CNC(6)H(4)NC, the mean CNC angle for the coordinated end of the isocyanide is 139.1(11) degrees, the average W-C bond length is 1.86(1) ?, and the C&tbd1;N bond lengths have a mean value of 1.30(2) ?. These data indicate substantial back-donation from an electron-saturated tungsten atom. This is supported spectroscopically, with substantial shifts to lower wavenumbers for the C-N stretching frequencies of the coordinated isocyanide groups. Similar trends are observed in cis-(NCC(6)H(4)NC)(2)W(DPPE)(2). Both compounds contain electron-rich metals surrounded by large ligands which apparently protect the metals from atmospheric oxidation. The isocyanide ligands in both complexes contain a second coordinating group pointing away from the metal into the environment surrounding the molecules, providing the potential for polymetallic complexes containing metals in a variety of oxidation states.  相似文献

Sample evaporation in splitless injection of large volumes is rapid: depending on the experiment, results indicate that 200 μl of hexane, for instance, evaporates in 2–10 s, producing vapor at a rate of many hundreds of milliliters per minute. A 60 × 4 mm packed bed of 20–35 mesh Tenax TA enabled injection of 200 μl volumes of all solvents tested, and even 1 ml injections were possible provided they were performed over a period of 30 s. Retention of volatile sample components depends on the sample solvent, the injection volume, and the injection speed, but only little on the injector temperature. Losses of n-tridecane varied from hardly 15 % (when dissolved in pentane) to ca 60 % (ethyl acetate); losses of n-heptadecane were usually below 20 %. The column temperature during injection should be at least ca 20–30°C above the standard solvent boiling point.  相似文献

The magnetic shielding constants of the different atoms of formamide, hydrated formamide and N-methylformamide are calculated by anab initio method. For the protons of formamide the measured differences between their chemical shifts are correctly reproduced by theory, provided that the molecular geometry used as input is carefully chosen. The differences between the values of the magnetic shielding constants calculated for formamide and hydrated formamide show that intermolecular hydrogen bonding produces variations of chemical shifts for all the atoms of the molecule except the formyl proton. The calculated chemical shift variations between formamide and N-methylformamide are compared to the experimental values and discussed in relation with different hydrogen bonding possibilities of the two molecules. The calculation of the contact term of the spin-spin coupling constants of formamide and hydrated formamide shows that in most cases the measured trends are satisfactorily reproduced and that the variations of these terms upon hydration are less than 3%.  相似文献

A generator of chemical structures (CONGEN) has been utilized to investigate two aspects of the structural isomerism of mono- and sesquiterpenoid skeletons: (1) the scope of possible isomers under various structural constraints; and (2) the scope of possible isomers based on a mechanistic model which allows interactive exploration of reactions of formation and interconversion. The possibilities, even under severe constraints, are many more than the structural types commonly encountered in natural. These results indicate the potential danger of structural assignment based in part on biogenic grounds.  相似文献
