The rate coefficients for the reactions of C2H and C2D with O2 have been measured in the temperature range 295 K T 700 K. Both reactions show a slightly negative temperature dependence in this temperature range, with kC2H+O2 = (3.15 ± 0.04) × 10−11 (T/295 K)−(0.16 ± 0.02) cm3 molecule−1 s−1. The kinetic isotope effect is kC2H/kC2D = 1.04 ± 0.03 and is constant with temperature to within experimental error. The temperature dependence and the C2H + O2 kinetic isotope effect are consistent with a capture-limited metathesis reaction, and suggest that formation of the initial HCCOO adduct is rate-limiting.  相似文献

The reaction of atomic hydrogen with isocyanic acid (HNCO) to produce the amidogen radical (NH2) and carbon monoxide, has been studied in shock-heated mixtures of HNCO dilute in argon. Time-histories of the ground-state NH2 radical were measured behind reflected shock waves using cw, narrowlinewidth laser absorption at 597 nm, and HNCO time-histories were measured using infrared emission from the fundamental v2-band of HNCO near 5 μm. The second-order rate coefficient of reaction (2(a)) was determined to be: cm3 mol?1 s?1, where f and F define the lower and upper uncertainty limits, respectively. The diamino-dithiolato N2S2 ligand N,N'-bis-2-methyl-mercaptopropyl-N,N'-dimethylethylenediamine, H2bmmp-dmed), and its nickel (1) and zinc (2) complexes have been prepared and their reactivities with hydrogen peroxide investigated. Complex 1 yields a mixture of sulfenato (RSO-), 4, sulfinato (RSO2-), 3, and sulfonato (RSO3-), 5, products upon addition of H2O2. Products are separable by column chromatography. Stoichiometric addition of H2O2 to 2 yields an inseparable mixture. Excess peroxide addition results in oxygenation of the ligand to the disulfonate, 6, and decomplexation of zinc. Complexes 1, 2, and 3 and compound 6 have been investigated by X-ray crystallography, and their structures are reported. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations of 1 and 2 reveal significant sulfur p character in the HOMO of each complex. However, 1 also shows significant metal d character that is pi-antibonding with respect to the sulfur p orbitals. Complex 2 shows little metal character in the HOMO. Implications of the HOMO with respect to S-centered reactivity and metal ligand distances in S-oxygenated products are provided.  相似文献

A catalyst that couples a photoswitch to the biaryl backbone of a chiral bis(phosphine) ligand, thus allowing photochemical manipulation of ligand geometry without perturbing the electronic structure is reported. The changes in catalyst activity and selectivity upon switching can be attributed to intramolecular mechanical forces, thus laying the foundation for a new class of catalysts whose selectivity can be varied smoothly and in situ over a useful range by controlling molecular stress experienced by the catalyst during turnover. Forces on the order of 100 pN are generated, thus leading to measurable changes in the enantioselectivities of asymmetric Heck arylations and Trost allylic alkylations. The differential coupling between applied force and competing stereochemical pathways is quantified and found to be more efficient for the Heck arylations.  相似文献

Block copolymers with increased Flory–Huggins interaction parameters (χ) play an essential role in the production of sub‐10 nm nanopatterns in the growing field of directed self‐assembly for next generation lithographic applications. A library of PDMS‐b‐PEO block copolymers were synthesized by click chemistry and their interaction parameters (χ) determined. The highest χ measured in our samples was 0.21 at 150 °C, which resulted in phase‐separated domains with periods as small as 7.9 nm, suggesting that PDMS‐b‐PEO is a prime candidate for sub‐10 nm nanopatterning. To suppress PEO crystallization, PDMS‐b‐PEO was blended with (l )‐tartaric acid (LTA) which allows for tuning of the self‐assembled morphologies. Additionally, it was observed that the order‐disorder transition temperature (TODT) of PDMS‐b‐PEO increased dramatically as the amount of LTA in the blend increased, allowing for further control over self‐assembly. To understand the mechanism of this phenomenon, we present a novel field‐based supramolecular model, which describes the formation of copolymer‐additive complexes by reversible hydrogen bonding. The mean‐field phase separation behavior of the model was calculated using the random phase approximation (RPA). The RPA analysis reproduces behavior consistent with an increase of the effective χ in the PDMS‐b‐(PEO/LTA suprablock). © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym. Common oxidants used in chemical synthesis, including newly developed perruthenates, were evaluated in the context of understanding (and better appreciating) the sensitiveness and associated potential hazards of these reagents. Analysis using sealed cell differential scanning calorimetry (scDSC) facilitated Yoshida correlations, which were compared to impact sensitiveness and electrostatic discharge experiments (ESD), that enabled sensitiveness ranking. Methyltriphenylphoshonium perruthenate (MTP3, 8 ), isoamyltriphenylphosphonium perruthenate (ATP3, 7 ) and tetraphenylphosphonium perruthenate (TP3, 9 ) were found to be the most sensitive followed by 2-iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX, 2 ) and benzoyl peroxide (BPO, 10 ), whereas the most benign were observed to be Oxone ( 12 ), manganese dioxide (MnO2, 13 ), and N-bromosuccinimide (NBS, 17 ).  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The twist-bend phase (NTB) is most commonly observed in materials with a gross-bent shape: dimers; bent-cores; bent-oligomers. We had suggested previously that the bend-angle of such systems effectively dictates the relative thermal stability of the NTB phase. However, our earlier paper relied on the use of a single energy-minimum conformer and so failed to capture any information about flexibility and conformational distribution. In the present work, we revisit our hypothesis and examine a second set of dimers with varying linking groups and spacer composition. We have improved on our earlier work by studying the conformational landscape of each material, allowing average bend-angles to be determined as well as the conformer distribution. We observe that the stability of the NTB phase exhibits a strong dependence not only on the Boltzmann-weighted average bend-angle (rather than just a static conformer), but also on the distribution of conformers. To a lesser extent, the flexibility of the spacer appears important. Ultimately, this work satisfies both theoretical treatments and our initial experimental study and demonstrates the importance of molecular bend to the NTB phase.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate bovine lactoferrin (bLf) and its stability using a rapid RP‐HPLC method. bLf could be rapidly detected within 20 min and quantitated at levels down to 5 µg/mL, and the equation of linearity was y = 86.10x + 178.31 with the correlation coefficient (r2) 0.9997. Quantitative data obtained in the present study proved the improved RP‐HPLC method to be a sensitive and accurate analytical tool for bLf determination. The proteolytic cleavage of bLf in simulated human gastrointestinal fluids was further analyzed by RP‐HPLC, and found to follow pseudo‐first‐order kinetics. The typical equation obtained by pepsin was log10 [At]/[A0] = ?0.03x (r2 = 0.85), and log10 [At]/[A0] = ?0.01x (r2 = 0.81) for trypsin and chymotrypsin combination. Pepsinolysis of bLf in simulated gastric fluid was relatively fast with the half‐life t1/2 23.1 min. The digestion of bLf in simulated intestinal fluid was slower with about a 3‐fold increase in half‐life (69.3 min). After the complete proteolysis of bLf, small cleaved peptide fragments were fully separated and identified by RP‐HPLC. The proteolytic study indicated that this validated RP‐HPLC was able to evaluate bLf stability though monitoring the derivatization products. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
