This work reports the surface‐initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) from hydrogen plasma‐treated porous poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) membranes using the C? F groups as initiators. Hydrogen plasma treatment on PTFE membrane surfaces changes their chemical environment through defluorination and hydrogenation reactions. With the hydrogen plasma treatment, the C? F groups of the modified PTFE membrane surface become effective initiators of ATRP. Surface‐initiated ATRP of poly(ethylene glycol) methacrylate (PEGMA) is carried out to graft PPEGMA chains to PTFE membrane surfaces. The chain lengths of poly(PEGMA) (PPEGMA) grafted on PTFE surfaces increase with increasing the reaction time of ATRP. Furthermore, the chain ends of PPEGMA grown on PTFE membrane surfaces then serve as macroinitiators for the ATRP of N‐isopropylacrylamide (NIPAAm) to build up the PPEGMA‐b‐PNIPAAm block copolymer chains on the PTFE membrane surfaces. The chemical structures of the modified PTFE membranes are characterized using X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The modification increases the surface hydrophilicity of the PTFE membranes with reductions in their water‐contact angles from 120° to 60°. The modified PTFE membranes also show temperature‐responsive properties and protein repulsion features owing to the presence of PNIPAAM and PPEGMA chains. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. One often believes that there is no shock formation for the Cauchy problem of quasilinear hyperbolic systems (of conservation laws) with linearly degenerate characteristic fields. It has been a conjecture for a long time (see Arch. Rational Mech. Anal. 2004; 172 :65–91; Compressible Fluid Flow and Systems of Conservation Laws in Several Space Variables. Springer: New York, 1984) and it is still an open problem in the general situation up to now. In this paper, a framework to justify this conjecture is proposed, and, by means of the concept such as the strict block hyperbolicity, the part richness and the successively block‐closed system, some general kinds of quasilinear hyperbolic systems, which verify the conjecture, are given. The series solution of theN-dimensional isotropic quartic oscillator weighted by an appropriate function which exhibits the correct asymptotic behavior of the wave function is presented. The numerical performance of the solution in Hill's determinant picture is excellent, and yields the energy spectrum of the system to any desired accuracy for the full range of the coupling constant. Control of the flow around a circular cylinder is studied using Large Eddy Simulation. The influence of control by rotation and suction on the flow characteristics is considered for several Reynolds numbers. The use of polyanion and polycation-sensitive membrane electrodes to detect five different preparations of fucoidan is described. Unlike linear polyanionic molecules previously measured with polymer membrane-based electrochemical sensors, fucoidans from marine brown algae are all highly branched, sulfated polysaccharides with varying charge densities and structures, depending on the species of seaweed, method of extraction used and extent of purification. When tridodecylmethylammonium (TDMA) was used as the ion-exchanger, a large, non-equilibrium EMF response was observed over a concentration range of 0.5–50 μg mL−1 fucoidan. Fucoidan was also measured by titration with polycationic protamine, using a dinonylnaphthalene sulfonate (DNNS)-doped membrane electrode as the potentiometric endpoint detector. Potentiometric titration was used to determine the binding ratio between protamine and fucoidan at the neutralization endpoint for each fucoidan preparation. This binding ratio was then used to successfully determine the fucoidan content of commercially available nutritional supplements. Fucoidan was also measured in undiluted blood serum, demonstrating that this method may be applicable for measuring fucoidan for clinical applications. 相似文献

In this work, acrylamide/itaconic acid copolymeric hydrogels are prepared by free radical polymerization initiated by redox initiators of potassium persulfate and N ,N ,N ′,N ′‐tetramethyl ethylene diamine; N ,N ′methylene bisacrylamide was employed as a crosslinking agent. Aniline monomer was absorbed in the network of poly(acrylamide‐co‐itaconic acid) P(AAm‐co‐IA) hydrogel and followed by gamma radiation induced polymerization at room temperature. The novel semi‐interpenetrating network was comprised of linear polyaniline immersed in P(AAm‐co‐IA) matrix. Electrical conductivity of the hydrogels was measured using four‐probe technique. The conductivities for the prepared hydrogels are found to increase from 5.5 × 10?7 S cm?1 for P(AAm‐co‐IA) alone to 4.4 × 10?3 S cm?1 for semi‐interpenetrating polymer network P(AAm‐co‐IA)/polyaniline. are the methods of choice for the analysis of the labeled compounds. In literature, radiochemical purity of the radiolabelled
DOTATATE was investigated using gradient reversed-phase radio-HPLC. However, these studies indicate long retention time of
the radiolabelled compound of 14.52 min. In our study, a new simple and rapid reversed-phase isocratic system enables the

Technetium-99m-sestamibi (99mTc-MIBI) is a small, lipophilic and cationic compound used for myocardial perfusion imaging. In addition, 99mTc-MIBI has been shown to be useful in identifying several types of tumors, such as breast, lung and thyroid cancers. The
high quality of this radiopharmaceutical and its uniformity are very important facts for application of this preparation in
clinical practice. The monograph for 99mTc-MIBI recommends at least 90% radiochemical purity (RCP) for clinical use. Various factors may influence the RCP of certain
reagent kits. Some of these include the amount of activity added to the reagent kit, heating time and the age of the formulated
kit. The effect of these factors on RCP of 99mTc-MIBI has been investigated using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and instant thin layer chromatography. 相似文献
