Synthesis and photoluminescence behaviour of six novel europium complexes with novel β-hydroxyketone ligand, 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-1-(2-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)ethan-1-one (CHME) and 2,2′-bipyridine (bipy) or neocuproine (neo) or 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) or 5,6-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (dmphen) or bathophenanthroline (bathophen) were reported in solid state. The free ligand CHME and europium complexes, Eu(CHME)3.2H2O [1] Eu(CHME)3.bipy [2], Eu(CHME)3.neo [3], Eu(CHME)3.phen [4], Eu(CHME)3.dmphen [5] and Eu(CHME)3.bathophen [6]were characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR and 1H-NMR. The photoluminescence emission spectra exhibited four characteristic peaks arising from the 5D0 → 7FJ (J = 1–4) transitions of the europium ion in the solid state on monitoring excitation at λex = 395 nm. The luminescence decay curves of these europium complexes possess single exponential behaviour indicating the presence of a single luminescent species and having only one site symmetry in the complexes. The luminescence quantum efficiency (η) and the experimental intensity parameters, Ω 2 and Ω 4 of europium complexes have also been calculated on the basis of emission spectra and luminescence decay curves. In addition, the antimicrobial and antioxidant activities were also studied of the investigated complexes.  相似文献

An approach for photonic generation of an arbitrary chirped microwave waveform with an increased time-bandwidth product (TBWP) is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. In the proposed model, light from the mode locked laser is splitted into two parts by using 1 × 2 power splitter: one is sent to linearly chirped fiber Bragg grating (LCFBG) through circulator and the other is time delayed by fiber delay line. The optical pulse in upper arm is time stretched by the LCFBG. Meanwhile, the optical pulse in lower arm experiences a time delay and then stretched by the dispersive single mode fiber. Temporal interference pattern is generated with an increasing or decreasing free spectral range by combination of two time-stretched optical pulses. Finally, the temporal interference pattern which is obtained at the output of optical coupler is transformed into an arbitrary chirped microwave waveform by using a photo-detector. The main advantage of this proposed model is high TBWP in the range of 750–1000 which ultimately results in an increased range resolution of radio detection and ranging.  相似文献

Snow is a sound absorbing porous sintered material composed of solid matrix of ice skeleton with air (+water vapour) saturated pores. Investigation of snow acoustic properties is useful to understand the interaction between snow structure and sound waves, which can be further used to devise non-destructive way for exploring physical (non-acoustic) properties of snow. The present paper discusses the experimental measurements of various acoustical properties of snow such as acoustic absorption coefficient, surface impedance and transmission losses across different snow samples, followed by inverse characterization of different geometrical parameters of snow. The snow samples were extracted from a natural snowpack and transported to a nearby controlled environmental facility at Patsio, located in the Great Himalayan range of India. An impedance tube system (ITS), working in the frequency range 63–6300 Hz, was used for acoustic measurements of these snow samples. The acoustic behaviour of snow was observed strongly dependent upon the incident acoustic frequency; for frequencies smaller than 1 kHz, the average acoustic absorption coefficient was found below than 0.4, however, for the frequencies more than 1 kHz it was found to be 0.85. The average acoustic transmission loss was observed from 1.45 dB cm−1 to 3.77 dB cm−1 for the entire frequency range. The real and imaginary components of normalized surface impedance of snow samples varied from 0.02 to 7.77 and −6.05 to 5.69, respectively. Further, the measured acoustic properties of snow were used for inverse characterization of non-acoustic geometrical parameters such as porosity, flow resistivity, tortuosity, viscous and thermal characteristic lengths using the equivalent fluid model proposed by Johnson, Champoux and Allard (JCA). Acoustically derived porosity and flow resistivity were also compared with experimentally measured values and good agreement was observed between them.  相似文献

We investigate the effect of cetyl-trimethyl-ammonium-bromides (CTAB) concentration on the fluorescence of Rhodamine-6G in water. This spectroscopic study of Rhodamine-6G in presence of CTAB was performed using two-photon-induced-fluorescence at 780 nm wavelength using high repetition rate femtosecond laser pulses. We report an increment of ~10 % in the fluorescence in accordance with ~12 % enhancement in the absorption intensity of the dye molecule around the critical micellar concentration. We discuss the possible mechanism for the enhancement in the two-photon fluorescence intensity and the importance of critical micellar concentration.  相似文献

Immobilized activated carbon doped TiO2 thin films were prepared by sol–gel dip coating method by using Titanium IV isopropoxide as a precursor. Aim of our work is to synthesize and investigate the structural, surface morphology and optical properties of the synthesized thin film. X-ray diffraction pattern reveals that the crystallinity of the film increases with increase in temperature. Also, the structural parameters such as particle size, microstrain and dislocation density have been calculated. The formation of nanosphere of diameter ranging from 300 nm to 500 nm has been confirmed by Scanning electron microscope. Photocatalytic active large optical band gap at 3.75 eV was found by using UV–visible sspectrum.  相似文献

Optics has already showed its potency over its electronic complements in case of superfast computing and communication systems. Semiconductor optical amplifier, (SOA) with its several nonlinear properties, plays a very crucial role in the development of high-speed all-optical processor. Multiplexer and demultiplexer are the extremely important element of the processor which takes part in utilizing different actions like encoding, decoding, routing, and the different process of data conversion and generation, etc. In this paper, the authors have proposed a scheme of phase encoded all-optical phase multiplexer using four wave mixing (FWM) property of semiconductor optical amplifier. Thus, the improved tolerance against fiber-nonlinearity and higher receiver sensitivity of phase encoding method with the fast occurring processes like FWM in SOA offers higher speed in this proposed scheme of multiplexing.  相似文献
