The flow boiling heat transfer coefficients of R-134a/R-290/R-600a (91%:4.068%:4.932% by mass) refrigerant mixture are experimentally
arrived in two tubes of diameter 9.52 and 12.7 mm. The tests are conducted to target the varied heat flux condition and stratified
flow pattern found in evaporators of refrigerators and deep freezers. The varied heat flux condition is imposed on the refrigerant
using a coaxial counter-current heat exchanger test section. The experiments are performed for mass flow rates of the refrigerant
mixture between 3 and 5 g s−1 and entry temperature between −8.59 and 5.33°C which are bubble temperatures corresponding to a pressure of 3.2 and 5 bar.
The influences of heat flux, mass flow rate, pressure, flow pattern, tube diameter on the heat transfer coefficient are discussed.
The profound effects of nucleate boiling prevailing even at higher vapor qualities in evaporators are highlighted. The heat
transfer coefficient of the refrigerant mixture is also compared with that of R-134a. 相似文献
Circumferential shear deformation in an annular domain is studied for a large class of incompressible isotropic elastic materials. It is demonstrated that large strains are confined in a region adjacent to a boundary, in analogy to the boundary layer phenomenon in fluid mechanics. The size of this region is quantified. An approximate solution technique for the deformation of nonlinear elastic solids, proposed by Rajagopal [7], is further studied. In this solution, akin to the boundary layer approximation in classical fluid mechanics, the full nonlinear problem is solved in a relatively small region of large strain, while the linearized problem is solved in the remaining region. Error estimates for the approximate solution are obtained. 相似文献
The economic and financial systems consist of many nonlinear factors that make them behave as the complex systems. Recently many chaotic finance systems have been proposed to study the complex dynamics of finance as a noticeable problem in economics. In fact, the intricate structure between financial institutions can be obtained by using a network of financial systems. Therefore, in this paper, we consider a ring network of coupled symmetric chaotic finance systems, and investigate its behavior by varying the coupling parameters. The results show that the coupling strength and range have significant effects on the behavior of the coupled systems, and various patterns such as the chimera and multi-chimera states are observed. Furthermore, changing the parameters' values, remarkably influences on the oscillators attractors. When several synchronous clusters are formed, the attractors of the synchronized oscillators are symmetric, but different from the single oscillator attractor. 相似文献
Analyzing the chaos and bursting phenomenon of neurons has been of interest in the past decade. In this paper, we discuss an extended Hindmarsh-Rose neuron model by taking into consideration the slowly interacting cell phenomenon due to the calcium ions. In the extended model, we consider the effect of an external forcing current, and the electromagnetic coupling between the magnetic flux and the membrane potential of the neuron. We analyze the modified neuron model in the presence of periodic and quasi-periodic excitations. A more complex chaotic behavior (hyperchaos) is identified in the neuron model. The results also demonstrate the multistable nature, which was not explored earlier. To discuss the dynamical behavior of the modified neuron in a network, we construct a ring network of neurons and capture the spatiotemporal patterns of the neuron in the network, in the presence of different excitations.
Nonlinear Dynamics - In this paper, the extended Hindmarsh–Rose neuron model, which considers the slow intracellular exchange of calcium ions between its store and the cytoplasm, is studied.... 相似文献
Natural products in the form of functional foods have become increasingly popular due to their protective effects against life-threatening diseases, low risk of adverse effects, affordability, and accessibility. Plant components such as phytosterol, in particular, have drawn a lot of press recently due to a link between their consumption and a modest incidence of global problems, such as Type 2 Diabetes mellitus (T2DM), cancer, and cardiovascular disease. In the management of diet-related metabolic diseases, such as T2DM and cardiovascular disorders, these plant-based functional foods and nutritional supplements have unquestionably led the market in terms of cost-effectiveness, therapeutic efficacy, and safety. Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder categoriszed by high blood sugar and insulin resistance, which influence major metabolic organs, such as the liver, adipose tissue, and skeletal muscle. These chronic hyperglycemia fallouts result in decreased glucose consumption by body cells, increased fat mobilisation from fat storage cells, and protein depletion in human tissues, keeping the tissues in a state of crisis. In addition, functional foods such as phytosterols improve the body’s healing process from these crises by promoting a proper physiological metabolism and cellular activities. They are plant-derived steroid molecules having structure and function similar to cholesterol, which is found in vegetables, grains, nuts, olive oil, wood pulp, legumes, cereals, and leaves, and are abundant in nature, along with phytosterol derivatives. The most copious phytosterols seen in the human diet are sitosterol, stigmasterol, and campesterol, which can be found in free form, as fatty acid/cinnamic acid esters or as glycosides processed by pancreatic enzymes. Accumulating evidence reveals that phytosterols and diets enriched with them can control glucose and lipid metabolism, as well as insulin resistance. Despite this, few studies on the advantages of sterol control in diabetes care have been published. As a basis, the primary objective of this review is to convey extensive updated information on the possibility of managing diabetes and associated complications with sterol-rich foods in molecular aspects. 相似文献
Nicotinamide-N-methyltransferase (NNMT) is a cytosolic enzyme catalyzing the transfer of a methyl group from S-adenosyl-methionine (SAM) to nicotinamide (Nam). It is expressed in many tissues including the liver, adipose tissue, and skeletal muscle. Its expression in several cancer cell lines has been widely discussed in the literature, and recent work established a link between NNMT expression and metabolic diseases. Here we describe our approach to identify potent small molecule inhibitors of NNMT featuring different binding modes as elucidated by X-ray crystallographic studies. 相似文献
Recently, [Rao, I.J., Rajagopal, K.R., 2007. Status of the K-BKZ model within the framework of materials with multiple natural configurations. Journal of Non-Newtonian Fluid Mechanics, 141, 79–84] showed that the K-BKZ Model is a special sub-class of models based on a thermodynamic framework that takes into account the fact that bodies are capable of existing stress free in multiple configurations with special choices being made for the way in which the body stores energy and the way it dissipates energy. They also showed that several generalizations of the K-BKZ model are possible. In this short note we show that two distinct methods of storing energy and dissipating energy lead to the classical Maxwell model. That is, in addition to the classical choice for the storage of energy and rate of dissipation (the usual spring dashpot analogy) a more complicated choice also leads to the same model. This result is rather important as it shows that a variety of means for storing and dissipating energy can lead to the same mechanical response, when one restricts oneself to purely mechanical considerations. 相似文献
In order to gain insight into the nature of the Wigner and related distribution functions, bivariate averaging functions of
real unbounded variables with absolutely continuous marginals that are ordinary probabilities are considered. Accordingly
variables are chosen to be phase space variables that are respectively eigenvalues of position and momentum operators. The
impact of the condition that the marginals are squared magnitudes of amplitudes that are Fourier transforms of one another
is emphasized by the delay of the introduction of this Fourier transform condition until after the form for a bivariate distribution
with the given marginals is obtained. When the respective amplitudes are fourier transforms of one another, special cases
of the bivariate averaging function correspond to generalized Wigner functions characterized by a parameterα. Such anα-Wigner function can be used as the basis of a consistent averaging procedure if an appropriate corresponding representation
for underlying operators to be averaged is specified. Properties of theα-Wigner functions are summarized. 相似文献
