Geometrical entanglements in a polymer network can be characterized in terms of the mean number of projected bond-bond crossings, N. Here, we present an analytical method to study the dependence of N on the number of bonds in the network, n. Our approach shows the occurrence of power-law scaling, N - n(beta). The estimated upper bound to the exponent for maximally compact networks, Beta approximately 1.38, agrees well with the values observed in simulations of transient networks in liquids and in the folding features of native states of globular proteins. 相似文献

The present paper introduces improvements of the conventional selective amplification of microsatellite polymorphic loci (SAMPL) technique, that exploit AT-rich microsatellite primers. Generally, AT/AAT microsatellites are frequent components of eukaryotic genomes, but their ubiquity and polymorphic information content (PIC) could not be exploited yet, because standard SAMPL conditions did not allow amplifications. Here we report (i) on the design of new versatile AT-rich microsatellite primers, that are combined with (ii) a modified SAMPL adapter primer (called EcoRI-Short), and (iii) special polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification regimes. The novel SAMPL procedure expands the range of useful microsatellite primers to AT-rich sequences and produces a high number of bands and a clear banding pattern, and detects polymorphisms in otherwise nonpolymorphic genomes of plants (Dioscorea alata, D. rotundata) and a fungus (Mycosphaerella fijiensis). 相似文献

anion are weakly bonding. The electronic and e.s.r. spectral data have been correlated. The MNDO wavefunction is used to calculate the Fermi contact term of nuclear spin-spin coupling constants. Owing to the presence of non-singlet unrestricted Hartree-Fock instabilities of the wavefunction, convergence problems arise in a rather large set of molecules, especially those containing molecular orbitals. A special technique to cope with this situation is presented. A situation with incompatibilities is defined to be a TU-game together with a graph whose arcs link pairs of incompatible players. In this paper we introduce an efficient and fair allocation rule which selects a payoff for every possible situation with incompatibilities (when the set of players is fixed), and prove that it is uniquely determined. Besides, we demonstrate that it is stable, study its relationship with the so-calledIR-Shapley value and show that it generalizes an earlier theory for simple games.
