The dynamic properties of a classical tracer particle in a random, disordered medium are investigated close to the localization transition. For Lorentz models obeying Newtonian and diffusive motion at the microscale, we have performed large-scale computer simulations, demonstrating that universality holds at long times in the immediate vicinity of the transition. The scaling function describing the crossover from anomalous transport to diffusive motion is found to vary extremely slowly and spans at least five decades in time. To extract the scaling function, one has to allow for the leading universal corrections to scaling. Our findings suggest that apparent power laws with varying exponents generically occur and dominate experimentally accessible time windows as soon as the heterogeneities cover a decade in length scale. We extract the divergent length scales, quantify the spatial heterogeneities in terms of the non-Gaussian parameter, and corroborate our results by a thorough finite-size analysis. 相似文献

A new global minimum for [12]annulene has been computationally located. This mono-trans minimum 5 (CCCCCT) is computed to be 1.5 kcal/mol more stable (CCSD(T)/cc-pVDZ//BHHLYP/6-311+G**) than the known tri-trans isomer 1 (CTCTCT) and 2.4 kcal/mol lower than the di-trans isomer 4 (CCTCCT), for which there is indirect evidence. The barriers for several rearrangements of 5 were all computed to be above 15 kcal/mol, indicating that direct experimental characterization of 5 should be possible. The computed barriers for the dynamic processes (including conformational automerization) coupled with computed 1H NMR shift values should aid in the future characterization of this [12]annulene isomer. 相似文献

An investigation of the photophysics of two complexes, [Pt((t)Bu3tpy)(C triple bond C-perylene)]BF4 (1) and Pt((t)Bu2bpy)(C triple bond C-perylene)2 (2), where (t)Bu3tpy is 4,4',4'-tri( tert-butyl)-2,2':6',2'-terpyridine, (t)Bu2bpy is 4,4'-di( tert-butyl)-2,2'-bipyridine, and C triple bond C-perylene is 3-ethynylperylene, reveals that they both exhibit perylene-centered ligand localized excited triplet states ((3)IL) upon excitation with visible light. These complexes do not display any significant photoluminescence at room temperature but readily sensitize (1)O2 in aerated CH2Cl2 solutions, as evidenced by its characteristic emission near 1270 nm. The transient absorption difference spectra were compared to bi- and tridentate phosphine peryleneacetylides intended to model the (3)IL peryleneacetylide excited states in addition to the related phenylacetylide-bearing polyimine analogues, with the latter model being the respective triplet charge-transfer ((3)CT) excited states. The transient difference spectra of the two title compounds display excited-state absorptions largely attributable to perylene localized (3)IL states yet exhibit somewhat attenuated excited-state lifetimes relative to those of the phosphine model chromophores. The abbreviated lifetimes in 1 and 2 may suggest the involvement of the energetically proximate (3)CT triplet state exerting an influence on excited-state decay, and the effect appears to be stronger in 1 relative to 2, consistent with the energies of their respective (3)CT states. 相似文献

The unusual stability of the experimentally known 1,3-dehydro-5,7-adamantyl dication was previously explained by four-center two-electron aromaticity with three-dimensional (tetrahedral) topology. Magnetic criteria (ACID and ring-current analysis) now demonstrate that there is also a very strong contribution from hyperconjugation with all six methylene bridges. The delocalized system of electrons thus includes all valence electrons, and the structure, therefore, should rather be described as a spherically aromatic 50-electron system. The corresponding Td-symmetric tetracation with 48 electrons is antiaromatic and not a minimum structure. With a He atom or a hydride ion at the center of the cage, the tetracation is predicted to form a kinetically stable complex. Magnetic criteria demonstrate that the antiaromaticity is greatly reduced, and a bond analysis hints at bonding interactions between He (and H-) and the carbon atoms of the adamantane cage. 相似文献

The sensitized triplet-triplet annihilation (TTA) of 9,10-dimethylanthracene (DMA) upon selective excitation of [Ru(dmb)3]2+ (dmb = 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine) at 514.5 nm in dimethylformamide (DMF) resulted in upconverted and downconverted DMA excimer photoluminescence. The triplet excited state of [Ru(dmb)3]2+ is efficiently quenched by 11 mM DMA in DMF resulting in photon upconversion but no excimer formation. The bimolecular quenching constant of the dynamic quenching process is 1.4 x 109 M-1 s-1. At 90 mM DMA, both upconversion and downconversion processes are readily observed in aerated DMF solutions. The TTA process was confirmed by the quadratic dependence of the upconverted and downconverted emission emanating from the entire integrated photoluminescence profile (400-800 nm) of DMA measured with respect to incident light power. Time-resolved emission spectra of [Ru(dmb)3]2+ and 90 mM DMA in both aerated and deaerated DMF clearly illustrates the time-delayed nature of both types of singlet-state emission, which interestingly shows similar decay kinetics on the order of 14 mus. The emission quantum yields (Phi) measured using relative actinometry increased with increasing DMA concentrations, reaching a plateau at 3.0 mM DMA (Phi = 4.0%), while at 90 mM DMA, the overall quantum yield diminished to 0.5%. The dominant process occurring at 3.0 mM DMA is upconversion from the singlet excited state of DMA, whereas at 90 mM DMA, both upconversion and excimeric emission are observed in almost equal portions, thereby resulting in an overall broad-band visible light-emission profile. 相似文献

Self-assembled materials can be designed to express useful optoelectronic properties; however, achieving structural control is a necessary precondition for the optimization of desired properties. Here we report a simple, metal-templated polymerization process that generates helical metallopolymer strands over 75 repeat units long (28 kDa) from a single bifunctional monomer and CuI. The resulting polymer consists of a double helix of two identical conjugated organic strands enclosing a central column of metal ions. The length of this metallopolymer can be controlled by adding monofunctional subcomponents to end-cap the conjugated ligands. The use of ditopic and bulky monotopic subcomponents, respectively, allows a head-to-head or head-to-tail double helix to be generated. Spectroscopic measurements of different polymer lengths demonstrate how control over polymer length leads to control over the electronic and luminescent properties of the resulting material, thereby enabling tunable white-light emission. 相似文献

Heating the metalloborylene complex [{(η5‐C5Me5)Fe(CO)2}(μ‐B){Cr(CO)5}] with alkynes and diynes leads to the formation of B‐metallated borirenes and a bis(B‐metallated borirene) through formal transfer of the metalloborylene moiety [(η5‐C5Me5)(OC)2Fe(B:)]. By using this protocol, a range of B‐metallated borirenes with electron‐donating and electron‐withdrawing substituents are prepared, and these are studied spectroscopically, structurally, and computationally.
