Polyampholyte microgels consisting of various compositions of poly(methacrylic acid) and poly(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate) (PMAA-PDMA) cross-linked with allyl methacrylate (AM) were synthesized via the inverse microemulsion polymerization (IMEP) technique. To improve colloidal stability at the isoelectric point (IEP), steric stabilization via the grafting of poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate (PEGMA) on the surface of the microgel was performed. Potentiometric and conductometric titration showed good agreement between the targeted and experimental compositions of the microgel systems. The microgel swelled at low and high pH and possessed a compact structure near the IEP, and the diameter were in good agreement with data from the transmission electron microscopic (TEM) analyses. With increasing pH, the mobility decreased from +2 m(2)s(-1)V (1) at pH 2 to -2 m(2)s(-1)V (1) at pH 10. An empirical relationship describing the PMAA composition and IEP was proposed, where the IEP decreased with increasing PMAA content. The microgel exhibited thermal-responsive properties at high pH, which is dictated by the lower critical solution temperature of PDMA.  相似文献

A series of alkanethiol monolayers (CH 3(CH 2) n-1 SH, n = 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16) were used to modify gold source-drain electrode surfaces for bottom-contact poly(3,3'-didodecylquaterthiophene) (PQT-12) thin-film transistors (TFTs). The device mobilities of TFTs were significantly increased from approximately 0.015 cm (2) V (-1) s (-1) for bare electrode TFTs to a maximum of approximately 0.1 cm (2) V (-1) s (-1) for the n = 8 monolayer devices. The mobilities of devices with alkanethiol-modified Au electrodes varied parabolically with alkyl length with values of 0.06, 0.1, and 0.04 cm (2) V (-1) s (-1) at n = 4, 8, and 16, respectively. Atomic force microscopy investigations reveal that alkanethiol electrode surface modifications promote polycrystalline PQT-12 morphologies at electrode/PQT-12 contacts, which probably increase the density of states of the PQT-12 semiconductor at the interfaces. The contact resistance of TFTs is strongly modulated by the surface modification and strongly varies with the alkanethiol chain length. The surface modifications of electrodes appear to significantly improve the charge injection, with consequent substantial improvement in device performance.  相似文献

Submicron particles with modified surface were synthesized by a simple one-pot synthesis approach and used as drug carrier for controlled release. Due to the alkalinity of MgO species on the surface, the amount of a model drug, ibuprofen, adsorbed on the modified surface was increased as compared to pure silica SBA-15 although the surface area was decreased by the surface modification. FTIR investigation indicated that the adsorption state of ibuprofen on MgO modified SBA-15 was different from that on pure silica SBA-15 and pure crystal ibuprofen. The result obtained from in vitro release test exhibited that the surface modification greatly decreased the ibuprofen release rate. In first 6 h in vitro release test, only 63% of the adsorbed ibuprofen was released from the MgO/SBA-15 (Si/Mg=20). In contrast, the release of ibuprofen was complete in 1 h from the pure silica SBA-15 under the same release conditions. The surface modified with MgO created affinity with acidic ibuprofen molecules and retarded the release rate from the mesoporous matrix. In addition, the release rate of ibuprofen could be modulated by varying the content of MgO, and was found to decrease with increasing amount of MgO on surface of SBA-15 submicron particles.  相似文献

Emulsion copolymerization of poly(methacrylic acid) and poly(2-(diethylamino)ethyl methacrylate) (PMAA/PDEA) yielded pH-responsive polyampholyte microgels of 200-300 nm in diameter. These microgels showed enhanced hydrophilic behavior in aqueous medium at low and high pH, but formed large aggregates of approximately 2500 nm at intermediate pH. To achieve colloidal stability at intermediate pH, a second batch of microgels of identical monomer composition were synthesized, where monomethoxy-capped poly(ethylene glycol)methacrylate (PEGMA) was grafted onto the surface of these particles. Dynamic light-scattering measurements showed that the hydrodynamic radius, Rh, of sterically stabilized microgels was approximately 100 nm at intermediate pH and increased to 120 and 200 nm at pH 2 and 10, respectively. Between pH 4 and 6, these microgels possessed mobility close to zero and a negative second virial coefficient, A2, due to overall charge neutralization near the isoelectric pH. From the Rh, mobility, and A2, cross-linked MAA-DEA microgels with and without PEGMA retained their polyampholytic properties in solution. By varying the composition of MAA and DEA in the microgel, it is possible to vary the isoelectric point of the colloidal particles. These new microgels are being explored for use in the delivery of DNA and proteins.  相似文献

Given any open convex cone K, a logarithmically homogeneous, self-concordant barrier for K, and any positive real number r < 1, we associate, with each direction , a second-order cone containing K. We show that K is the interior of the intersection of the second-order cones , as x ranges over all directions in K. Using these second-order cones as approximations to cones of symmetric, positive definite matrices, we develop a new polynomial-time primal-dual interior-point algorithm for semidefinite programming. The algorithm is extended to symmetric cone programming via the relation between symmetric cones and Euclidean Jordan algebras.  相似文献

利用计算机模拟了不同分维的断口形貌 ,并对各种分维测量方法在纳米度域的适用性和可靠性从理论和实验两方面进行了研究 .对于金属断口 ,在进入纳米度域后 ,由于小岛截面数的限制或数据量的有限性 ,面积 周长法和基于Fourier变换的功率谱方法遇到了困难 .模拟计算表明 ,盒子计数分维测量方法可以作为纳米度域分维的测量方法 .用扫描隧道显微镜 (STM)采用立方体元方法在纳米尺度测定了5Cr2 1Mn9Ni4N汽阀钢断口的分形维数 .结果表明分形维数在纳米度域具有方向性 ,对于理论分形曲面 ,这种分形维数的方向性是由数据点数的有限性所造成的 ,即是一种边界效应 ;然而 ,对于实际断口 ,这种方向性除了边界效应外 ,还是材料的内禀特性的反映 .宏观度域的分形维数与材料性能的关系在纳米度域仍然存在 .  相似文献

A novel phenolic compound, artocarpol A ( 1 ), was isolated from the root bark of Artocarpus rigida and its structure determined by spectroscopic methods and by comparison with its diacetate derivative. Compound 1 strongly inhibited superoxide formation in phorbol 12‐myristate 13‐acetate (PMA) stimulated rat neutrophils in a concentration‐dependent manner with an IC50 value of 13.7±0.7 μM . Compound 1 also showed a significant inhibitory effect on tumor necrosis factor‐α (TNF‐α) formation in lipopolysaccharide(LPS)‐stimulated RAW 264.7 cells.  相似文献

Statistical copolymers 5 containing poly(2-dimethyloctylsilyl-1,4-phenylenevinylene) (DMOS-PPV) and poly[2-methoxy-5-(2′-ethylhexyloxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene] (MEH-PPV) have been synthesized using the dehydrohalogenation condensation route. The copolymers show a shift of photoluminescence maxima to longer wavelengths as the proportion of the MEH-PV unit increases. This trend is accompanied by reduced efficiencies and lower turn-on voltages in single layer electroluminescent devices. Light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs) have been prepared using a blend of DMOS-PPV 1 with poly(ethylene oxide)/lithium triflate and the homopolymer poly[2-methoxy-5-(triethoxymethoxy)-1,4-phenylene vinylene] (MTEM-PPV) 9 with lithium triflate. In comparison with single-layer devices which were fabricated using the homopolymers 1 and poly[2,5-bis(triethoxymethoxy)-1,4-phenylene vinylene] (BTEM-PPV) 10 , the LEC devices showed lower turn-on voltages.  相似文献
