The dispersion of thoria on the surface of gamma-Al2O3 and the surface properties of ThO2/gamma-Al2O3 samples, as well as the influence of the loading amount of thoria on the reduction behavior of copper oxide species, have been studied using XRD, XPS, FTIR, and TPR. The results indicate that the dispersion capacity of thoria, like that of ceria, is much lower than for two other tetravalent metal oxides, zirconia and titania, and the surface adsorption amount of the carbonyl compound and H2O slightly increases with increasing thoria loading. The different thoria loadings can influence the reduction behavior of the dispersed copper oxide by comparing the TPR results of CuO/ThO2/gamma-Al2O3 samples. In addition, the lower dispersion capacities of thoria and ceria on gamma-Al2O3 are tentatively discussed by considering the structural stability of the two oxides.  相似文献

Separation of ephedrine stereoisomers by molecularly imprinted polymers was performed to study the factors that affect the selectivity and column efficiency. The polymer synthesized with pentaerythritol triacrylate as the cross-linker and chloroform as the porogen was found to have the best overall separation performance. Investigation of the recognition mechanism by NMR and chromatographic analysis revealed that the major binding forces between the polymer stationary phase and ephedrine are the ionic and hydrogen bonding interactions. Studies of the influence of mobile phase compositions on the HPLC analysis have shown that a methanol-aqueous buffer was the suitable mobile phase for the separation in which pH, ionic strength and water content can be adjusted to optimize the chromatographic analysis.  相似文献

The title compound, the Tl-richest in the K-Tl system, has been synthesized in Ta containers via direct reaction of the elements at 400 degrees C followed by quenching to room temperature and subsequent annealing at 150 degrees C for 4 weeks. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Cccm (No. 66) with a = 16.625(1) A, b = 23.594(2) A, c = 15.369(2) A (22 degrees C), and Z = 8. Two different Tl(12) units consisting of augmented tetrahedral stars are condensed into layers of such tetrahedra, and further Tl(2) dumbbells and the potassium cations also interconnect the stars and layers into a three-dimensional network. The former anionic Tl(8) subunits clearly resemble those in the heteroatomic 3-D structure of cubic Cr(3)Si before their augmentation with bridging atoms. The compound is metallic (rho(270) = 22.6 micro omega x cm, alpha = 0.0023 K(-)(1)) and shows Pauli-like paramagnetic susceptibility (chi(296) = 1.1 x 10(-4) emu/mol). EHTB calculations illustrate the importance of Tl p-orbital bonding, the positive Tl-Tl overlap populations up to E(F), and greater strengths of the Tl-Tl bonding between and about the surface of the augmented Tl(12) units. Cations between the thallium layers play specific and important roles in the structure.  相似文献

Prolonged storage ( approximately 2 years) or gentle heating (50-80 degrees C) of crystalline 2,5-dibromo-3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (DBEDOT) affords a highly conducting, bromine-doped poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT), as confirmed by solid-state NMR, FTIR, CV, and vis-NIR spectroscopies. The novel solid-state polymerization (SSP) does not occur for 2,5-dichloro-3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (DCEDOT), and requires a much higher temperature (>130 degrees C) for 2,5-diiodo-3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (DIEDOT). X-ray structural analysis of the above dihalothiophenes reveals short Hal.Hal distances between adjacent molecules in DBEDOT and DIEDOT, but not in DCEDOT. The polymerization may also occur in the melt but is significantly slower and leads to poorly conductive material. Detailed studies of the reaction were performed using ESR, DSC, microscopy, and gravimetric analyses. SSP starts on crystal defect sites; it is exothermic by 14 kcal/mol and requires activation energy of approximately 26 kcal/mol (for DBEDOT). The temperature dependence of the conductivity of SSP-PEDOT (sigma(rt) = 20-80 S/cm) reveals a slight thermal activation. It can be further increased by a factor of 2 by doping with iodine. Using this approach, thin films of PEDOT with conductivity as high as 20 S/cm were fabricated on insulating flexible plastic surfaces.  相似文献

The chromatographic separation of lithium isotopes was investigated by chemical exchange with the recently synthesized polymer-bound dibenzo pyridino diamide azacrown (DBPDA) and reduced dibenzo pyridino diamide azacrown (RDBPDA). Column chromatography was employed for the determination of the effect of solvents and ligand conformation on the separation coefficients. The maximum separation coefficients, , for the DBPDA and RDBPDA at 20.0±0.02°C with acetonitrile as eluent, were found to be 0.034±0.002 and 0.035±0.002, respectively. The isotope separation coefficient and adsorption capability of the lithium ion on the DBPDA and RDBPDA were only slightly dependent on ligand structure, but strongly dependent on the solvent. DBPDA and RDBPDA appeared to have almost the same value for the isotope separation coefficient of lithium.  相似文献
