The success of human mesenchymal stem cell (hMSC) therapies is largely dependent on the ability to maintain the multipotency of cells and control their differentiation. External biochemical and biophysical cues can readily trigger hMSCs to spontaneously differentiate, thus resulting in a rapid decrease in the multipotent cell population and compromising their regenerative capacity. Herein, we demonstrate that nonfouling hydrogels composed of pure poly(carboxybetaine) (PCB) enable hMSCs to retain their stem‐cell phenotype and multipotency, independent of differentiation‐promoting media, cytoskeletal‐manipulation agents, and the stiffness of the hydrogel matrix. Moreover, encapsulated hMSCs can be specifically induced to differentiate down osteogenic or adipogenic pathways by controlling the content of fouling moieties in the PCB hydrogel. This study examines the critical role of nonspecific interactions in stem‐cell differentiation and highlights the importance of materials chemistry in maintaining stem‐cell multipotency and controlling differentiation. 相似文献

Zanamivir, laninamivir, and CS‐8958 are three neuraminidase inhibitors that have been clinically used to combat influenza. We report herein a novel organocatalytic route for preparing these agents. Only 13 steps are needed for the assembly of zanamivir and laninamivir from inexpensive D ‐araboascorbic acid by this synthetic route, which relies heavily on a thiourea‐catalyzed enantioselective Michael addition of acetone to tert‐butyl (2‐nitrovinyl)carbamate and an anti‐selective Henry reaction of the resulting Michael adduct with an aldehyde prepared from D ‐araboascorbic acid. The synthetic procedures are scalable, as evident from the preparation of more than 3.5 g of zanamivir. 相似文献

A comprehensive first‐principles theoretical study of the electronic properties and half‐metallic nature of zigzag edge‐oxidized graphene quantum dots (GQDs) is carried out by using density functional theory (DFT) with the screened exchange hybrid functional of Heyd, Scuseria and Ernzerhof (HSE06). The oxidation schemes include ‐OH, ‐COOH and ‐COO groups. We identify oxidized GQDs whose opposite spins are localized at the two zigzag edges in an antiferromagnetic‐type configuration, showing a spin‐polarized ground state. Oxidized GQDs are more stable than the corresponding fully hydrogenated GQDs. The partially hydroxylated and carboxylated GQDs with the same size exhibit half‐metallic state under almost the same electric‐field intensity whereas fully oxidized GQDs behave as spin‐selective semiconductors. The electric‐field intensity inducing the half metal increases with the length of the partially oxidized GQDs, ranging from M=4 to 7. 相似文献

We report on the fabrication of a surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) platform, comprised of a three‐dimensional (3D) porous eggshell membrane (ESM) scaffold decorated with Ag nanoparticles (NPs). Both native and treated ESM were used, where the treated ESM pore size and fiber crossing density was controlled by timed exposure to hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Ag NPs were synthesized in situ by reduction of silver nitrate with ascorbic acid. Our results demonstrate that H2O2‐treated Ag‐ESM provides a more densely packed 3D network of active material, which leads to consistently higher SERS enhancement than untreated Ag‐ESM substrates. 相似文献

二氧化钛(TiO2)具有化学稳定性高、无毒、价格低廉、来源广泛及光电性能优异等优点,被广泛应用于太阳能电池和光催化等领域,尤其是在污染物的光催化降解方面,可很好地解决当前的环境污染问题。但一方面受带隙宽度限制,使其对太阳光的利用率不足5%,不能充分利用太阳光中的可见光;另一方面由于光生电子-空穴容易结合,催化效率低,从而使TiO2的实际应用受到限制。因此必须采取合适的措施,一方面要增强TiO2对可见光的吸收,提高对太阳光的利用率;另一方面要抑制光生电子-空穴的复合,提高光催化效率。目前越来越多的科学家通过控制TiO2的形貌、晶型、特殊晶面暴露等手段来提高TiO2光生电子-空穴的传输速率和光电转换效率。本文主要综述了近年来在TiO2光催化剂的特殊形貌和特殊晶面暴露等方面的研究进展,对未来的研究和发展方向作了展望。 相似文献

利用不同过渡金属盐在溶剂热中合成了2个杂核化合物{[CuEu2(INAIP)3(HCOO)(H2O)3]·3H2O}n(1)和{[NiEu2(INAIP)4(H2O)4]·4H2O}n(2)(INAIP=异烟酰胺吡啶基异酞酸根),并对其进行了元素分析、IR及X-射线衍射法表征。晶体结构研究表明:配合物1和2都属于三斜晶系,P1空间群。晶胞参数:配合物1 a=1.088 7(3)nm,b=1.515 8(4)nm,c=1.564 4(2)nm,V=2.333 2(10)nm3,Z=2,Dc=1.955 g·cm-3,μ=3.203 mm-1,F(000)=1352,Rint=0.027,R1=0.0505,wR2=0.1309。配合物2 a=1.013 4(3)nm,b=1.083 6(6)nm,c=1.374 1(2)nm,V=1.453 0(9)nm3,Z=1,Dc=1.878 g·cm-3,μ=2.554 mm-1,F(000)=818,Rint=0.045 8,R1=0.034 1,wR2=0.086 9。配合物1是由配体异烟酰胺吡啶基异酞酸连接而成的三维二重贯穿sqc27拓扑结构,而配合物2是由配体异烟酰胺吡啶基异酞酸连接稀土铕离子形成二维层状结构,该二维层通过Ni-O和Ni-N键连接成三维非贯穿网络结构。配合物1和2具有典型的稀土铕离子红色荧光和高的热稳定性。 相似文献

Pyriminostrobin, a new acaricide, was discovered in our previous studies. Because introducing fluorine into organic compounds can increase bioactivity, pyriminostrobin was modified as a series of strobilurin-pyrimidine derivatives for biological screening. The compounds were characterized by 1H NMR, MS and elemental analysis. Preliminary bioassays demonstrated that compounds 7e and 7i exhibited significant control against Tetranychus cinnabarinus (Boisd.) at 0.625 mg L^-1, and their acaricidal potencies were higher than pyriminostrobin in a greenhouse. The relationship between structure and acaricidal activity was also studied. 相似文献
