A polymeric hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS), Tinuvin 622 (MW [symbol: see text] 4000), in PP materials formulated with a magnesium hydroxide flame retardant was determined by reactive thermal desorption (RTD) gas chromatography (GC). Two kinds of the HALS components that were formed through the RTD in the presence of tetramethylammonium hydroxide [(CH3)4NOH, TMAH] were clearly observed in the chromatograms of the PP samples, with negligible interference from the other additives and the PP substrate. Here, the coexisting flame retardant was proved to affect significantly the RTD process of the occluded HALS. As a result, the recovery of the HALS components in the RTD-GC chromatograms of the PP samples increased with increase in the content of the flame retardant. This enhancement of the HALS recovery is attributed mainly to the preferential exposure of the HALS on the surface of the ground PP sample through the interaction between the polymeric HALS and the flame retardant in the molten PP during kneading. In spite of such a considerable action of the flame retardant, the observed intensities of the characteristic peaks of HALS by RTD-GC showed a good linear relationship with the HALS content in the PP samples with constant content of the flame retardant (50 phr); this relationship could be used as the calibration line for the determination of the polymeric HALS in the PP materials containing the flame retardant. 相似文献

The nano-kinetic movement of a single DNA molecule was observed and analyzed by a newly developed video-microscope system with an optical fiber, called a pin-fiber video scope. A single lambda-DNA molecule was put in focus using fiber-illumination, and the stretching and shrinking motion was measured. The molecule's kinetics were analyzed by numerical calculations and are discussed. A photocleavage phenomenon of DNA molecules was also visualized by the pin-fiber video scope. We have plotted electropherograms in capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) as a function of the quantity of electric charge (Q) in order to eliminate the dependency of the analyte peak areas, as well as that of the migration times, upon both the capillary temperature and the applied voltage. The procedure is based on an idea of a migration index (MI) and an adjusted migration index (AMI) which were originally proposed by Lee and Yeung. The value of Q is measured accurately and calculated easily because it is given by a product of the electrophoretic current and the migration times, where the index MI is derived by dividing the value of Q by the effective volume of the capillary. By calculating the CZE peak area from the newly plotted electropherogram, improvement in precision in quantitative analysis is expected. Concerning AMI, careful treatment is required in its application to analyte peaks whose migration time is close to that of the neutral marker. We designed and synthesized sequence-specific alkylating conjugates 1 and 2, which selectively alkylate matched sequences at nanomolar concentrations. Conjugates 1 and 2 differ only in that the C-H is substituted by an N in the second ring, which precisely recognizes and effectively alkylates DNA according to the recognition rule of Py-Im polyamides. We investigated sequence-specific DNA alkylation, cytotoxicity in 39 human cancer cell lines, and the effect on expression levels in cancer cell lines by Py-Im conjugates 1 and 2. The COMPARE analysis of the mean graphs showed that conjugates 1 and 2 did not correlate well with each other (r = 0.65) despite having a common DNA alkylating mechanism (purine N3 alkylation). Array-based gene expression analysis demonstrated that there are several oppositely regulated genes. The results suggest the intriguing possibility that DNA alkylating agents recognizing longer base-pair sequences may provide a promising approach for developing new types of antigene agents. 相似文献

Triple-stage quadrupole (TSQ) electrospray ionization (ESI) tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) and ion trap ESI-MS/MS can be used to cleave protonated molecules to produce carbocations and neutral molecules in the positive ion mode. Dissociation products which correspond to protonated forms of neutral fragment molecules can also be trapped and detected. These protonated molecules in turn can cleave via carbocation cleavage, ipso cleavage, onium cleavage or McLafferty or related rearrangements. One can elucidate the structures of metabolites from the differences in m/z ratios of the fragments arising from the original drug compound and its metabolite. This strategy for structural elucidation is further facilitated by estimates of the reactivity of drugs with oxygen diradicals involved in cytochrome P-450 cycles. 相似文献

The lattice image of the FeCr σ-phase was observed by high-resolution electron microscopy with the c axis of the tetragonal cell parallel to the incident beam. It was found that bright dots of the observed image correspond to the positions of atoms in the planes of the σ-phase structure. Sequence faults were found in the irregular part of the lattice image. The analysis of the faults shows that an extra plane of width is inserted into the regular structure and one side of the fault is slightly shifted parallel to the fault plane with respect to the other side, which is consistent with the model proposed by Frank and Kasper. A unit cell step of the sequence faults was found and a model of the step was proposed. 相似文献

Treatment of the hydrosulfido-bridged titanium-ruthenium heterobimetallic complex [Cp2Ti(mu2-SH)2RuCl(eta5-C5Me5)] (1; Cp = eta5-C5H5) with an excess of triethylamine followed by addition of [RuCl2(PPh3)3] and [[(cod)M]2(mu2-Cl)2] (M = Rh, Ir; cod = 1,5-cyclooctadiene) led to the formation of the TiRu2 and TiRuM mixed-metal sulfido clusters [(CpTi)[(eta5-C5Me5)Ru][Ru(PPh3)2](mu3-S)2(mu2-Cl)2] (3) and [(CpTi)[(eta5-C5Me5)Ru][M(cod)](mu3-S)2(mu2-Cl)] (M = Rh (4a), Ir (4b)), respectively. On the other hand, the reactions of 1 with [M(PPh3)4] (M = Pd, Pt) afforded the TiRuM trinuclear clusters [(CpTiCl)[(eta5-C5Me5)Ru][M(PPh3)2](mu3-S)(mu2-S)(mu2-H)] (M = Pd (5a), Pt (5b)) with an unprecedented M3(mu3-S)(mu2-S) core. The detailed structures of these triangular clusters 3-5 have been determined by X-ray crystallography.
