We consider a lower-order approximation for a third-order diffusive–dispersive conservation law with nonlinear flux. It consists of a system of two second-order parabolic equations; a coupling parameter is also added. If the flux has an inflection point it is well-known, on the one hand, that the diffusive–dispersive law admits traveling-wave solutions whose end states are also connected by undercompressive shock waves of the underlying hyperbolic conservation law. On the other hand, if the diffusive–dispersive regularization vanishes, the solutions of the corresponding initial-value problem converge to a weak solution of the hyperbolic conservation law. We show that both of these properties also hold for the lower-order approximation. Furthermore, when the coupling parameter tends to infinity, we prove that solutions of initial value problems for the approximation converge to a weak solution of the diffusive–dispersive law. The proofs rely on new a priori energy estimates for higher-order derivatives and the technique of compensated compactness. 相似文献

Bromadiolone, a commercially used anticoagulant rodenticide, was determined in tissues of various animals by differential pulse voltammetry with a carbon-paste electrode. Under the most suitable experimental conditions (step potential of 25?mV?s?1 and 0.2?mol?L?1 acetate buffer, pH 4.2), the limit of detection was 0.5?ng?mL?1. The electroanalytical method was consequently used to investigate the bromadiolone transport within the food chain. Pheasants were exposed to bromadiolone and then used as feed for a fox. The average levels were 528 and 198?ng of bromadiolone per gram of fresh weight of liver of pheasant and fox, respectively. Due to the surprisingly lower content of bromadiolone in the latter, a basic biochemical analysis, particularly blood coagulation, was performed. Among the parameters studied (thrombin time, prothrombin time, activated partial thromboplastin time, and fibrinogen), there was prolongation of the prothrombin time and activated partial thromboplastin time. 相似文献

We report an efficient synthesis of the hypermodified natural tRNA modifications wybutosine (yW) and hydroxywybutosine (OHyW). We also describe the preparation of isotopically labeled analogues for precise quantification of yW and OHyW in different tissues including plant materials. The synthesis involved the formation of the unusual tricyclic ring structure of the bases by using a catalytic, intramolecular hydroamination reaction. The basis for the synthesis is also a stereoselective coupling reaction that allows the introduction of the fully substituted side chains to the tricyclic core structure. The isotopologues of yW and OHyW, together with other isotopically labeled tRNA modifications, were ultimately used in LC‐MS quantification experiments to investigate the role of the modified bases in the translational process. Quantification was performed in the plant species Arabidopsis thaliana. 相似文献
