A method for in situ calibration of hot-wires in a turbulent flow is presented. The method is particularly convenient (even necessary) for calibrating large probe arrays, like the 143-wire boundary layer rake of the WALLTURB experiment. It is based on polynomial expansion of the velocity statistics in terms of voltage statistics as originally described by George et al. [Exp Ther Fluid Sci 2(2):230–235, 1989]. Application of the method requires knowing reference mean velocity and higher order central moments (with the array in place) of the turbulent velocity at the probe location at only one freestream velocity. These were obtained in our experiment by a stereo PIV plane just upstream of the probe array. Both the procedure for implementing the method and sample results are presented in the article.  相似文献

The function $g(x,u,\nabla u)$ is a nonlinear lower order term with natural growth with respect to $|\nabla u|$, satisfying the sign condition and the datum $f$ belongs to $L^1(\Omega)$.  相似文献

Abstract

Under mild conditions, treatment of unprotected methyl-α-D-glucopyranoside, N-acetylglucosamine and maltose with triphenylphosphine, diethylazodicarboxylate and equimolar amount of various carboxylic acids allowed regioselective 6-O-esterifications (6′-O for maltose) of the carbohydrate without esterification of other hydroxyl groups. This reaction found an application in the synthesis of liposoluble, labelled sugars and hydrosoluble polymers.  相似文献

The turbulence structure near a wall is a very active subject of research and a key to the understanding and modeling of this flow. Many researchers have worked on this subject since the fifties Hama et al. (J Appl Phys 28:388–394, 1957). One way to study this organization consists of computing the spatial two-point correlations. Stanislas et al. (C R Acad Sci Paris 327(2b):55–61, 1999) and Kahler (Exp Fluids 36:114–130, 2004) showed that double spatial correlations can be computed from stereoscopic particle image velocimetry (SPIV) fields and can lead to a better understanding of the turbulent flow organization. The limitation is that the correlation is only computed in the PIV plane. The idea of the present paper is to propose a new method based on a specific stereoscopic PIV experiment that allows the computation of the full 3D spatial correlation tensor. The results obtained are validated by comparison with 2D computation from SPIV. They are in very good agreement with the results of Ganapthisubramani et al. (J Fluid Mech 524:57–80, 2005a).  相似文献

 For studying particle trajectories in saltation, a measurement method has been developed. Results have been obtained by recording particles in motion at 25 images per second and by analysing images using processing software which enables complete trajectories to be reconstructed. The present study aims to understand the dynamical properties of water and OH groups layered on an alumina surface mainly by means of femtosecond IR-pump IR-probe transient absorption spectroscopy. The experimental results obtained demonstrate the existence of several kinds of O-H vibrators on the surface of alumina membranes, distinguishing them by their behavior on the femtosecond time scale and by the anisotropy of their spectral response. In the high-frequency region (>3400 cm-1), the absorption is due to well-packed aluminol groups and to physisorbed water patches on the surface. When pumping at 3200 cm-1, physisorbed water hydrogen-bonded to AlOH2+ groups is observed. The anisotropy measurements demonstrate the existence of an efficient energy-transfer mechanism among the water molecules characterized by a time constant of 400 +/- 100 fs. The persisting anisotropy at long times, especially in the case of AlOH groups and of the structured physisorbed water layer on top of them, proves the anisotropic structuring induced by the surface. The excitation at 3000 cm-1 enables the detection of a photon-induced proton-transfer reaction. The proton back-transfer reaction time constant is 350 +/- 50 fs. From anisotropy measurements, we estimate the proton hopping time to be 900 +/- 100 fs in a locally extended water network lying on the surface.  相似文献

This paper presents an experimental study of the interaction between a vortex ring and a moving wall. This type of flow can be considered as modeling, in a simplified way, the interaction between a "typical eddy" and the viscous sublayer of a turbulent boundary layer. In the present study, the vortex ring is considered as a three-dimensional (3D) perturbation of a viscous Stokes layer. The interaction was first characterized by visualization. To obtain quantitative information, digital particle image velocimetry (DPIV) and holographic particle-tracking velocimetry (HPTV) were used. These different techniques led to a precise and detailed characterization of the vortex ring alone and of an interaction in which a hairpin vortex is generated in the Stokes layer. The results obtained show a good similarity between the observed vortex ring and the Oseen model. They also validate the Stokes layer model and show that in the present conditions, the hairpin vorticity is comparable to that of the Stokes layer. The holographic study, which was undertaken to obtain full 3D three-component (3D3C) velocity maps, showed the present limitations of HPTV.  相似文献

The take-off of free solid particles by wind erosion has been investigated. A preliminary bibliographic study (Foucaut and Stanislas 1995) has enabled an analysis of the Bagnold criterion (1941) to be made and its accordance with the results obtained by White (1982) to be shown, thus leading to a semi-empirical model. This initial study led to a more judicious choice of the primary parameters, allowing a more physical representation of the threshold velocity. In the present study, the criterion validation was carried out in a specific boundary layer wind tunnel, by means of a direct measurement of the threshold velocity.
