Polyelectrolyte complex (PEC) dispersions were prepared by controlled mixing of three random copolymers of sodium 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonate (AMPS) with either t-butyl acrylamide (TBA) [P(AMPS54-co-TBA46) and P(AMPS37-co-TBA63)] or methyl methacrylate (MM) [P(AMPS52-co-MM48)] with an ionene-type polycation, containing 95 mol % N,N-dimethyl-2-hydroxypropyleneammonium chloride repeat units (PCA5), with their structural characteristics being deeply investigated by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Shape, size, and polydispersity of the PEC dispersions were directly observed by AFM as a function of polyanion structure, the ratio between charges, n-/n+, and the titrant addition rate (TAR). The particle sizes increased and the colloidal stability decreased with the increase of the nonionic comonomer content and with the decrease of TAR. It was demonstrated that the medium particle sizes of the complex nanoparticles adsorbed on silicon wafers measured by AFM, in the dry state, were close but always lower than those measured by DLS, both before and after the complex stoichiometry.  相似文献

Mixed M(II)/M(III) metal oxalates, as "stripes" connected through strong hydrogen bonding by para-dimethylaminobenzaldeide (DAMBA) and water, form an organic-inorganic 2D network that enables segregation in layers of the cationic organic NLO-phore trans-4-(4-dimethylaminostyryl)-1-methylpyridinium, [DAMS+]. The crystalline hybrid materials obtained have the general formula [DAMS]4[M2M'(C2O4)6].2DAMBA.2H2O (M = Rh, Fe, Cr; M' = Mn, Zn), and their overall three-dimensional packing is non-centrosymmetric and polar, therefore suitable for second harmonic generation (SHG). All the compounds investigated are characterized by an exceptional SHG activity, due both to the large molecular quadratic hyperpolarizability of [DAMS+] and to the efficiency of the crystalline network which organizes [DAMS+] into head-to-tail arranged J-type aggregates. The tunability of the pairs of metal ions allows exploiting also the magnetic functionality of the materials. Examples containing antiferro-, ferro-, and ferri-magnetic interactions (mediated by oxalato bridges) are obtained by coupling proper M(III) ions (Fe, Cr, Rh) with M(II) (Mn, Zn). This shed light on the role of weak next-nearest-neighbor interactions and main nearest-neighbor couplings along "stripes" of mixed M(II)/M(III) metal oxalates of the organic-inorganic 2D network, thus suggesting that these hybrid materials may display isotropic 1D magnetic properties along the mixed M(II)/M(III) metal oxalates "stripes".  相似文献

The design, synthesis and properties of liquid-crystalline semiconducting oligothiophenes containing dithienothiophene (DTT), benzothiadiazole (BTZ) and carbazole (CBZ) rigid cores are described. The effect of molecular structure (shape, size and substitution) on their thermal behaviour and electrical properties has been investigated. Polarised optical microscopy (POM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analyses have revealed highly ordered smectic mesophases for most of the newly synthesised compounds. X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies performed at various temperatures have shown that the smectic order is retained in the crystalline state upon cooling across the transition temperature, affording cast films with a more favourable morphology for FET applications.  相似文献

Fighting resistance to antibiotics and chemotherapeutics has brought bioactive peptides to the fore. Peptaibols are short α-aminoisobutyric acid-containing peptides produced by Trichoderma species. Here, we studied the production of peptaibols by Trichoderma atroviride O1 and evaluated their antibacterial and anticancer activity against drug-sensitive and multidrug-resistant bacterium and cancer cell lines. This was substantiated by an analysis of the activity of the peptaibol synthetase-encoding gene. Atroviridins, 20-residue peptaibols were detected using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. Gram-positive bacteria were susceptible to peptaibol-containing extracts of T. atroviride O1. A synergic effect of extract constituents was possible, and the biolo-gical activity of extracts was pronounced in/after the peak of peptaibol synthetase activity. The growth of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus was reduced to just under 10% compared to the control. The effect of peptaibol-containing extracts was strongly modulated by the lipoteichoic acid and only slightly by the horse blood serum present in the cultivation medium. Peptaibol-containing extracts affected the proliferation of human breast cancer and human ovarian cancer cell lines in a 2D model, including the multidrug-resistant sublines. The peptaibols influenced the size and compactness of the cell lines in a 3D model. Our findings indicate the molecular basis of peptaibol production in T. atroviride O1 and the potential of its peptaibol-containing extracts as antimicrobial/anticancer agents.  相似文献

Summary: Thanks to the use of a ligand consisting of a saturated ring fused to the cyclopentadienyl moiety, which sensibly increases the stability of titanocenes, it was possible to investigate the oscillating behavior of titanium catalysts in propylene polymerization for the first time. The titanium‐based catalysts yield poly(propylene)s with new and interesting microstructures. Indeed, in spite of the significantly lower isotactic pentad content [mmmm], the average lengths of the isotactic blocks (Niso) are similar or even higher than that obtained with the zirconium‐based homologues. Accordingly, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis shows melting peaks which are more evident than those obtained with the zirconium homologues. The study of the microstructure of the poly(propylene)s obtained with these catalysts allowed us to participate in the still open discussion on the oscillating mechanism of unbridged metallocenes.

Methyl 2-(benzyloxycarbonyl)aimno-3-dimemylaminopropenoate ( 2 ) was prepared from methyl N-(benzyloxycarbonyl)glycinate ( 1 ) and t-butoxybis(dimethylamino)methane, and used as a reagent for preparation of substituted 3-(benzyloxycarbonyl)amino-4H-quinolizin-4-ones 5 and 6 , ?2H-pyran-2-ones 17–19 , ?2H-1-benzopyran-2-ones 28–31 , and -naphthopyrans 32–35 , ?2H-pyrano[3,2-c]pyridine-2,5-dione 46 , -pyrano-[4,3-b]pyran-2,5-dione 47 , -pyrano[3,2-c]benzopyran-2,5-dione 48 , -pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazol-6-ones 49 and 50 , -pyrano[2,3-d]pyrirnidin-7-ones 51 and 52 derivatives. In the reaction of 2 with 1,3-diketones trisubsti tuted pyrroles 14–16 were formed. Selective removal of benzyloxycarbonyl group was achieved by cat alytic transfer hydrogenation with Pd/C in the presence of cyclohexene to afford free 3-amino compounds 7 , 8 , 20 , 36–38 and 53–57 in yields better than 80%.  相似文献

Polyelectrolytes offer a widespread potential for the defined modification of planar inorganic or polymer surfaces. Essential parameters for the regular adsorption of subsequent polymer layers by electrostatic interactions are the charge of polyelectrolyte and of the outermost surface region, the surface of the substrate, and the molar mass of the polyelectrolyte. To study such effects in mono- and multilayers we used poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride (PD) with a molar mass from 5000 to 400000 g/mol as a strong polycation and poly(ethyleneimine) (PEI) with 75000 g/mol as a weak polycation and poly(sodium styrenesulfonate) (PSS) from 70000 to 1Mio g/mol in the diluted and semi-diluted region. The characterization of the layers was performed by streaming potential, in-situ SPR and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Thereby the layer built up at the solid/liquid-interface could be followed and quantified at the molecular level. SPR revealed that the thicknesses of the multilayer depends strongly on pK values of the polyelectrolyte (strong or weak) and the molar masses. We observed a linear growth if both polyelectrolytes are strong and an exponential growth if one polyelectrolyte is weak. The thickness increased with higher molar masses of the polyelectrolytes. The process was followed in-situ in short time steps.  相似文献

The use of the same thermoplastic polymer for both the matrix and the filler in the preparation of composites is very attractive, because such composites are in principle fully recyclable. Recently it has been reported the preparation of a mono-material composite (MMC) made of polypropylene to be used in automobile parts. In this work we report on the preparation and characterization of matrices for quasi MMC made of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET). Particularly we found PET copolymers containing isophthalate (IPA) units adequate to be used as matrix.  相似文献

The formation and stability of some polycation/azo dye multilayers by the alternate adsorption of one polycation of integral type having 95 mol% of N,N-dimethyl-2-hydroxypropyleneammonium chloride repeat units (PCA5) and four multicharged azo dyes: Crocein Scralet MOO (CSMOO), Ponceau SS (PSS), Direct Blue 1 (DB 1) and Direct Red 80 (DR 80) are discussed in this paper. The dyes were different either by the number of sulfonic groups (PSS, DB 1 and DR 80) or by their position (CSMOO and PSS). The multilayer growth, when PCA5 was adsorbed from 0.2 M Na2SO4 aqueous solution, was followed by UV-Vis spectroscopy and by electrokinetic measurements. Solid state polycation/azo dye complexes were also prepared to get qualitative information on the charge compensation in the multilayers.  相似文献
