We study the inventory management problem of a service center operating in a decentralized service parts network. The service centers collaborate through inventory and service pooling, and through sharing information on the inventory status. Upon demand arrival, a service center may request a part from the other center, in which case a payment is made. Under this competitive and collaborative environment, we first characterize the optimal operating policy of an individual service center. Through computational analysis we identify the conditions under which pooling is most beneficial to the service center, and make an assessment of different pooling strategies which are commonly adopted in practice and in the literature. Finally, we analyze the effect of interaction between the centers on the benefit of pooling. 相似文献

This contribution reports that synthesis of polystyrene based photoactive polymeric nanoparticles by radical copolymerization and Menschutkin Chemistry methodology. In the first step, poly(styrene‐co‐chloromethyl styrene) was achieved by thermally initiated radical copolymerizations and subsequently copolymers were reacted to commercially available Type II photoiniator (Michler's ketone) in dilute condition in order to achieve intramolecular crosslinked polymeric nanoparticles. After the characterization studies, polymeric nanoparticles were used for free radical photopolymerization of methacrylic formulations to determine the initiation efficiency. Upon UV irradiation, resulting polymeric nanoparticle lost its globular structure by releasing benzophenone part and transformed into linear copolymer analogue. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. 3,6-diaryl-2,5-dihydro-1,4-diketopyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrole-1,4-dione (DPPD) derivatives are used commercially as red pigments,
because of their color strength, brightness, and very low solubility in most common solvents. These products, although highly
colored, appear to be of limited value as dyes, since they show a tendency to form an aggregate when incorporated into a solvent.
Monoalkyl and dialkyl derivatives of DPPD were synthesized and then characterized with IR, 1HNMR, UV-Vis absorption and emission spectroscopy. Molar absorption coefficient, singlet energy level and Stokes’ shift values
of DPPD derivatives were declared. Monoalkyl and dialkyl derivatives of DPPD’s solubilities were measured from saturated solutions
of dimethylformamide (DMF), tetrahydrofuran (THF), dichloromethane (DCM), acetonitrile (ACN) and toluene and they are compared
with each other. 相似文献
