The additive free heteronucleation and nanocrystallization of ternary Zn(x)Ti(y)O(z) sols and coatings is presented. A proper adjustment of the Zn/Ti ratio in the sol allows the formation of elaborate superhydrophilic cubic spinel-like Zn(2)TiO(4), c-ZnTiO(3) or h-ZnTiO(3)-ilmentite/r-TiO(2)-rutile films. Their morphology and natural superhydrophilicity can be fine-tuned by the inclusion of 5% silica. This doping step delivers high dye intake capacities and water contact angle values below 3°. XPS analysis indicates that Zn and Si enrichment enables greater surface hydroxylation and thus improved water wetting behaviour. The transparent h-ZnTiO(3)-ilmenite/r-TiO(2) nanocomposite coatings deposited on glass and Si-wafers show a remarkable activity in the photomineralization of fatty-acids. 相似文献

Films formed by oxidation of dopamine are of interest for functionalisation of solid–liquid interfaces owing to their versatility. However, the ability to modulate the properties of such films, for example, permeability to ionic species and the absorption coefficient, is urgently needed. Indeed, melanin films produced by oxidation of dopamine absorb strongly over the whole UV/Vis part of the electromagnetic spectrum and are impermeable to anions even for a film thickness as low as a few nanometers. Herein we combine oxidation of dopamine to produce a solution containing dopamine–melanin particles and their alternating deposition with poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) to produce films which have nearly the same morphology as pure dopamine–melanin films but are less compact, more transparent and more permeable to ferrocyanide anions. 相似文献

The uranyl sulphate mineral zippeite was studied by Raman spectroscopy. The phase purity of the sample was initially checked
by X-ray powder diffraction and its chemical composition was defined by electron microprobe (wavelength dispersive spectroscopy,
WDS) analysis. The Raman spectroscopy research focused on the low wavenumber and uranyl stretching vibration regions. Vibration
bands down to 50 cm–1 were tentatively assigned. The U–O bond lengths were calculated based on empirical relations. Inferred values are consistent
with those obtained from the crystal structure analysis of synthetic zippeite. Number of bands was interpreted on the basis

Novel copper(II) X-salicylate complexes with N,N-diethylnicotinamide (dena) of the formula [Cu(RCOO)2(dena)2(H2O)2] (RCOO = 3-methylsalicylate anion (3-Mesal, 1), 4-methylsalicylate anion (4-Mesal, 2), 5-methylsalicylate anion (5-Mesal, 3), 5-methoxysalicylate anion (5-MeOsal, 4) or 4-methoxysalicylate anion (4-MeOsal, 5)), and complex [Cu(3-MeOsal)2(dena)2(H2O)2]∙2H2O (3-MeOsal = 3-methoxysalicylate anion (6)) have been prepared in the crystalline forms and characterized by spectroscopic methods (IR, Vis–UV, EPR). All the compounds
according to their composition (1–5) seem to possess octahedral copper(II) stereochemistry. The complex 1 has been prepared in two different forms. X-ray analyses of the complexes 1, 4, and 5 were carried out and they featured a tetragonal-bipyramidal geometry around the copper atoms. The tetragonal planes are created
by X-salicylate anions bonded to the copper(II) atoms via unidentate carboxylate oxygen atoms and the pyridine ring nitrogen

Chiral discrimination of seven enantiomeric pairs of β‐3‐homo‐amino acids was studied by using the kinetic method and trimeric metal‐bound complexes, with natural and unnatural α‐amino acids as chiral reference compounds and divalent metal ions (Cu2+ and Ni2+) as the center ions. The β‐3‐homo‐amino acids were selected for this study because, first of all, chiral discrimination of β‐amino acids has not been extensively studied by mass spectrometry. Moreover, these β‐3‐homo‐amino acids studied have different aromatic side chains. Thus, the emphasis was to study the effect of the side chain (electron density of the phenyl ring, as well as the difference between phenyl and benzyl side chains) for the chiral discrimination. The results showed that by the proper choice of a metal ion and a chiral reference compound, all seven enantiomeric pairs of β‐3‐homo‐amino acids could be differentiated. Moreover, it was noted that the β‐3‐homo‐amino acids with benzyl side chains provided higher enantioselectivity than the corresponding phenyl ones. However, increasing or decreasing the electron density of the aromatic ring by different substituents in both the phenyl and benzyl side chains had practically no role for chiral discrimination of β‐3‐homo‐amino acids studied. When copper was used as the central metal, the phenyl side chain containing reference molecules (S)‐2‐amino‐2‐phenylacetic acid (L ‐Phg) and (S)‐2‐amino‐2‐(4‐hydroxyphenyl)‐acetic acid (L ‐4′‐OHPhg) gave rise to an additional copper‐reduced dimeric fragment ion, [CuI(ref)(A)]+. BatG is a trans-2-enoyl-ACP reductase, encoded in?the kalimantacin/batumin (kal/bat) biosynthesis operon. It is not essential for the production of the kal/bat secondary metabolite. Instead, BatG is an isoform of FabI, conferring full resistance to target bacteria. It also complements FabI in its role in fatty acid biosynthesis. The identification of FabI as the antibacterial target is important to assess clinical potential of the kalimantacin/batumin antibiotics against Staphylococcus aureus. 相似文献

A method for the fast determination of yohimbine, a potent adrenoreceptor antagonist used for the treatment of sexual dysfunctions,
is proposed in this article. MEKC under basic and acidic conditions (sodium borate, pH 9.5 and sodium phosphate, pH 2.5) with
SDS was developed. The effect of the experimental parameters, e.g. pH, SDS concentration and injection time, on yohimbine
migration was also studied. Both methods were validated in terms of linearity, limits of detection and quantification, accuracy,
and precision using caffeine as an internal standard. The application for the determination of yohimbine in hand-made medicaments
is also investigated in this study.

The dimeric condensation product of lactic acid, namely (S,S)‐2‐[(2‐hydroxypropanoyl)oxy]propanoic acid, C6H10O5, (I), crystallizes with two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit, which both have an essentially planar backbone. The trimeric condensation product, namely (S,S,S)‐3‐hydroxybut‐3‐en‐2‐yl 2‐[(2‐hydroxypropanoyl)oxy]propanoate, C9H14O7, (II), has one molecule in the asymmetric unit and consists of two essentially planar parts, with the central C—O bond in a gauche conformation. Both molecules of the dimer are involved in intermolecular hydrogen bonds, forming chains with a C(8) graph set. These chains are connected by D(2) hydrogen bonds to form a two‐dimensional layer. The trimer forms hydrogen‐bonded C(10) and C22(6) chains, which together result in a two‐dimensional motif. The Hooft method [Hooft, Straver & Spek (2008). J. Appl. Spherical copper nanoparticles have been prepared by photo- or radiation-induced reduction of aqueous solutions containing
10−3 mol.dm−3 copper sulphate or formate, 1.3 mol.dm−3 propan-2-ol and polyvinyl alcohol as a stabilizer. Increase of initial copper concentration to 10−2 mol.dm−3 resulted in formation of different reaction product—octahedral cuprous oxide nanoparticles. Solutions were irradiated by
means of electron beam, 60Co γ rays (dose rate 70 Gy.h−1) or by 400 W medium-pressure mercury lamp and were characterised by UV-Vis spectrophotometry, X-Ray Powder Diffraction, TEM
and SEM. Pink to violet colour of colloidal copper solutions corresponded to measured copper surface plasmon band at circa
580 nm and has been found to be very sensitive to oxygen, which causes dissolution of particles. Therefore, the influence
of purging by nitrogen gas prior to irradiation was thoroughly examined and has been found to only hinder, not alter irradiation
effects. Moreover, the evolution of absorption spectrum of colloidal copper solution in contact with air has been measured,
revealing interesting non-monotonous dependence on the air exposure time, probably caused by formation of protective oxide
layer. Catalytic activity of prepared cuprous oxide has been measured by catalytic decomposition of hydrogen peroxide and
has been found to be higher or comparable to commercial cuprous oxide. 相似文献
