Polyethylene blends were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Binary blends of commercial linear polyethylene (LPE) with two low-density polyethylenes (LDPEs) of melt indexes, about 20 and about 0.27 g/10 minutes, were investigated. The blends, with 10% and 50% LPE contents, and the pure LPE were isothermally crystallized at 124°C for up to 48 h under solid-liquid phase segregation conditions. Double melting endotherms were obtained for the blends. Results show that, despite differences in crystallization kinetics between both types of blends, the same depression in the LPE melting temperature and approximately the same LPE crystal thicknesses were found for the blend compositions. In addition, the extent of occurrence of lamellar thickening in LPE during crystallization is a function of its content in the blend. 相似文献

A practical protocol was developed for the synthesis of 2-arylamino substituted 4-amino-5,6-dihydropyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidin-7(8H)-ones from ??,??-unsaturated esters, malononitrile, and an aryl substituted guanidine via the corresponding 3-aryl-3,4,5,6- tetrahydropyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidin-7(8H)-ones. Such compounds are formed upon treatment of 2-methoxy-6-oxo-1,4,5,6-tetrahydropyridine-3-carbonitriles with an aryl substituted guanidine in 1,4-dioxane and are converted to the desired 4-aminopyridopyrimidines with NaOMe/MeOH through a Dimroth rearrangement. The overall yields of this three-step protocol are, generally speaking, higher than the multicomponent reaction, previously developed by our group, between an ??,??-unsaturated ester, malononitrile, and an aryl substituted guanidine. 相似文献

Models for light dark matter particles with masses below 1 GeV/c\(^2\) are a natural and well-motivated alternative to so-far unobserved weakly interacting massive particles. Gram-scale cryogenic calorimeters provide the required detector performance to detect these particles and extend the direct dark matter search program of CRESST. A prototype 0.5 g sapphire detector developed for the \(\nu \)-cleus experiment has achieved an energy threshold of \(E_{th}=(19.7\pm 0.9)\) eV. This is one order of magnitude lower than for previous devices and independent of the type of particle interaction. The result presented here is obtained in a setup above ground without significant shielding against ambient and cosmogenic radiation. Although operated in a high-background environment, the detector probes a new range of light-mass dark matter particles previously not accessible by direct searches. We report the first limit on the spin-independent dark matter particle-nucleon cross section for masses between 140 and 500 MeV/c\(^2\). 相似文献

A Bean model-based program (“Trazacorrientes”®) has been used to simulate the current distribution in the saturated remanent state of type-II superconducting bicrystal-like squared samples. The grain boundary was modeled by a set of periodically spaced holes geometrically defining the current transparency. Current simulations performed as a function of the boundary transparency, width and geometry are analyzed. Current distributions agree qualitatively with previously reported imaging measurements, while quantitative results can be obtained with an accuracy of 5% due to present computing resolution limits. Thanks to “Trazacorrientes”® easy way of implementing irregular defects, meandering grain boundaries formed by straight facets of different local transparency could be simulated. The advantages and disadvantages of the program for the simulation of type-II superconductors with defects, among which GB’s, are discussed. 相似文献

The behaviors of low-concentration aqueous solutions of 10-undecenoic acid and its sodium salt were studied by several techniques.
The acid does not have a critical micelle concentration, but gives an emulsion of very small droplets at (0.8–1) × 10−4 mol dm−3. The emulsion was clearly visible by eye at 0.002 mol dm−3. The sodium salt has a stepwise aggregation process, giving premicellar aggregates at 0.023 ± 0.008 mol dm−3, which grow to form micelles at 0.117 ± 0.007 mol dm−3. The compositions of the solution and the micelles were also studied.

The partial molar volume and hydration number of two micellised polymerisable surfactants (dodecylethylmethacrylatedimethylammonium bromide (C12PS) and hexadecylethylmethacrylatedimethylammonium bromide (C16PS)) were determined. The polymerization of styrene in three-component oil-in-water microemulsions made with the cationic surfactant dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide is studied by dilatometry and quasielastic light scattering as a function of type and concentration of initiator. Fast polymerization rates, high conversions, and high molecular weight polymers are achieved with both oil-soluble (AIBN) and water-soluble (potassium persulfate) initiators. The rate of polymerization shows initiation and termination intervals, but no constant-rate interval is observed. Stable monodisperse microlatexes are obtained with both types of initiators. For both AIBN and potassium persulfate, polystyrene molecular weight is proportional to initiator concentration [I]–0.4 and particle radii decrease as [I]–0.2. Polymerization initiation occurs in or at the microemulsion droplets, and polymer particles grow by recruiting monomer and surfactant from uninitiated swollen micelles. 相似文献
