The interactions of the neurotransmitter dopamine (DA) with β-cyclodextrin and 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) was characterized using UV–visible, 2D fluorescence, 3D fluorescence, FT–IR, PXRD and SEM techniques. PM3, PM7 and DFT methods were used to optimize the structures of the inclusion complexes in the gas phase. The absorbance and fluorescence intensities of DA increased in the presence of CDs in aqueous solution. The binding energy, HOMO–LUMO energy gap and Mulliken atomic charges were computed for the inclusion complexes. NBO analysis revealed a greater number of intermolecular hydrogen bonds in DA:HP-β-CD. Experimental and theoretical results suggested that the DA molecule is deeply embedded in the cavities of both CDs. 相似文献

Summary A rapid and sensitive method for the determination of barium and calcium in lubricating oils is described. It is based on the formation of barium chromate and calcium oxalate and the estimation of barium and calcium by determining chromium and oxalate ions. Results obtained are in close agreement with those obtained by the Standard IP Method.

Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) are one of the most rapidly growing drug classes used for the treatment of cancer, infectious and autoimmune diseases. Complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) is one of the effector functions for antibodies to deplete target cells. We report here an efficient chemoenzymatic synthesis of structurally well-defined conjugates of a monoclonal antibody with a rhamnose- and an αGal trisaccharide-cluster to recruit natural anti-rhamnose and anti-αGal antibodies, respectively, to enhance the CDC-dependent targeted cell killing. The synthesis was achieved by using a modular antibody Fc-glycan remodeling method that includes site-specific chemoenzymatic Fc-glycan functionalization and subsequent click conjugation of synthetic rhamnose- and αGal trisaccharide-cluster to provide the respective homogeneous antibody conjugates. Cell-based assays indicated that the antibody-rhamnose cluster conjugates could mediate potent CDC activity for targeted cancer cell killing and showed much more potent efficacy than the antibody-αGal trisaccharide cluster conjugates for CDC effects. 相似文献

Three optically active liquid crystal (LC) homomeric dipeptides, in particular, a pair of enantiomers and a diastereomer formed by joining two half-disc-like entities through a dipeptide spacer comprising L-L, D-D and L-D valine residues, have been synthesised and characterised. Hydrogen-bond-directed self-assembly of these non-discoid supramolecules results in the formation columnar (Col) LC phase. They form a stable organo gel in polar organic solvents through intermolecular hydrogen bond, and their scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) images reveal the presence of entangled network. The interaction of these homomeric dipeptides with nanaoparticles (silica species) has also been investigated by SEM images and UV-visible experiments. 相似文献
