Abstract

The present article gives an overview of recent publications and modern techniques of sample preparation for food analysis employing atomic and inorganic mass spectrometric techniques, such as flame atomic absorption spectrometry, chemical vapor generation atomic absorption and atomic fluorescence spectrometry, graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry, inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry, and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Among the most frequently applied sample preparation techniques for food analysis are dry ashing, usually with the addition of an ashing aid, and acid digestion, preferably with the assistance of microwave energy. Slurry preparation, particularly with the assistance of ultrasound, is increasingly used to reduce acid consumption and sample preparation time. Direct analysis of solid samples is gaining importance in the field of food analysis as it offers the highest sensitivity, avoids the use of acids and other aggressive reagents, makes possible the analysis of micro‐samples, and can be applied for fast screening analysis, e.g., of fresh meat.  相似文献

Equilibrium and transport properties have been investigated of ephedrines, a class of sympathomimetic amines, through cryogel membranes of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA). The effect of the PVA (10 to 18 % (w/v)) on the release properties of (1S,2R)-(+)-ephedrine hydrochloride has been discussed on the basis of partition–diffusion and power-law models. The effect of PVA concentration on the swelling degree of PVA–ephedrine matrices have been measured, allowing the estimation of the volume fraction of polymer in the gel. Ephedrine release rate constants, computed by using a first-order kinetics approach, have been modeled by using free-volume and hydrodynamic-scaling models. Differences in the release properties of the ephedrine isomers, (1S,2R)-(+)- and (1R,2S)-(?)-ephedrine as their hydrochlorides, have also been studied at different temperatures. The release kinetic constants and the corresponding activation energies show a marked discrimination between the two ephedrine isomers. This suggests that PVA cryogel membranes possess high potential for enantiomeric differentiation.  相似文献

In this contribution, maximum capacity for adsorption of Pb(2+), Ni(2+), and Cu(2+) by silkworm chrysalides (SC) was determined. The raw silkworm chrysalides (SC(r)) and chrysalides after acidic washing (SC(w)) were used. Chitin (CT), extracted from SC, and chitosan (CS), with 85% deacetylation, were employed as reference samples. Adsorption tests showed that all the studied adsorbents exhibited excellent performance in removal of metals. The choice of a more appropriate adsorbent is related to its efficiency for removal of a specific metal. The studied materials presented different intensities for metal adsorption as follows: (i) Ni(2+)>Cu(2+)>Pb(2+) for SC(r); (ii) Pb(2+)>Cu(2+)>Ni(2+) for SC(w); (iii) Ni(2+)>Cu(2+)>Pb(2+) for CT; and (iv) Cu(2+)>Pb(2+)>Ni(2+) for CS. Metal adsorption onto SC(r) and CS was analyzed by Freundlich and Langmuir isotherm equations. Adsorption values for CS-Pb and SC(r)-Ni were provided by the Freundlich model, while the adsorption values for CS-Cu, CS-Ni, SC(r)-Pb, and SC(r)-Cu were provided by the Langmuir model. The studied adsorbents are suitable for use in treatment of wastewater. From the economic point of view, the use of SC(r) as an adsorbent of heavy metals (mainly Ni(2+)) on the large industrial scale would be more appropriate.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the effects associated to quantum vacuum fluctuations of vectorial perturbations of the Abelian SU(2) Yang-Mills field in a static and homogeneous chromomagnetic-like background field, at zero temperature. We use periodic and antiperiodic boundary conditions in order to calculate the Casimir energy by means of the frequency sum technique and of the regularization method based on zeta functions, analyzing its behavior in the weak and strong coupling regimes. We compare the obtained results with the similar ones found for scalar and spinor fields placed in an ordinary magnetic field background. We show that only in the weak coupling regime the non-trivial topology of the system encoded in the antiperiodic boundary conditions changes the nature of the Casimir force with respect to the periodic ones. Considering the weak coupling scenario, we show that the introduction of a third polarization state in the perturbations makes manifest the effects on the Casimir energy due to the coupling with the chromomagnetic-like background field, for both the boundary conditions. Finally, in the strong coupling regime, in which the quantum vacuum is not stable due to the Nielsen-Olesen instabilities, we evaluate the effects of a compact extra dimension on its stabilization.  相似文献

We consider the inverse inhomogeneous medium scattering problem in acoustics where one tries to recover the support of anomalies in a medium by interrogating the region of interest with plane waves at fixed frequency. We discuss the validity of the Linear Sampling Method (LSM) for solving this inverse problem, and its connection to an unusual eigenvalue problem. It turns out that the existence of non-trivial solutions of the so-called interior transmission eigenvalue problem results in the failure of the LSM.
