The emulsion polymerisation of vinyl acetate (VAc) in presence of sodium dodecylsulphate (SDS) and sodium montmorillonite (NaMMT) is used in order to achieve polymer‐clay hybrids. The influence of the polyvinylacetate (PVAc), SDS, and PVAc‐SDS complex on the NaMMT structure also was investigated. The VAc emulsion polymerization rate exhibits a maximum as the NaMMT concentration increases. The XRD patterns correspond to hybrids with intercalated structure. If a water soluble comonomer, ammonium sulphato ethylmethacrylate (ASEMA) is used for copolymerization with VAc, a exfoliated hybrid structure (from XRD spectra) is obtained. The solid materials were analysed by TGA, FTIR, XRD, SEM, and TEM.  相似文献

Abstract

In the case of copolymer latexes of vinyl acetate with maleic diesters, the amount of water bound to particles decreases with the increase of comonomer hydrophobicity. Increasing the concentration of bound water for more polar polymers determines a decrease of free water concentration. Therefore, the concentration of free surfactant and initiator in free water is higher and results in an increase of decomposition rate of potassium persulfate initiator. The increase of more polar copolymers hydration results in the increase of latex particle size.

An extension of the ‘Cusmano–Ruccia’ reaction is reported. 6-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-methyl-5-nitrosoimidazo[2,1-b]oxazole by the action of hydrochloric acid gives 3-(4-chlorobenzoyl)-5-methyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole (13); presumably via ammonium ion, CO2 and methanol elimination. The relevance of the nature of the atom of the B-ring linked to C-2 of the imidazole for the occurrence of the ring-into-ring interconversion has been once more confirmed.  相似文献

A series of neutral mixed-ligand [HB(pz)3]Ag(PR3) silver(I) complexes (PR3 = tertiary phosphine, [HB(pz)3] = tris(pyrazolyl)borate anion), and the corresponding homoleptic [Ag(PR3)4]BF4 compounds have been synthesized and fully characterized. Silver compounds were screened for their antiproliferative activities against a wide panel of human cancer cells derived from solid tumors and endowed with different platinum drug sensitivity. Mixed-ligand complexes were generally more effective than the corresponding homoleptic derivatives, but the most active compounds were [HB(pz)3]Ag(PPh3) (5) and [Ag(PPh3)4]BF4 (10), both comprising the lipophilic PPh3 phosphine ligand. Detailed mechanistic studies revealed that both homoleptic and heteroleptic silver complexes strongly and selectively inhibit the selenoenzyme thioredoxin reductase both as isolated enzyme and in human ovarian cancer cells (half inhibition concentration values in the nanomolar range) causing the disruption of cellular thiol-redox homeostasis, and leading to apoptotic cell death. Moreover, for heteroleptic Ag(I) derivatives, an additional ability to damage nuclear DNA has been detected. These results confirm the importance of the type of silver ion coordinating ligands in affecting the biological behavior of the overall corresponding silver complexes, besides in terms of hydrophilic–lipophilic balance, also in terms of biological mechanism of action, such as interaction with DNA and/or thioredoxin reductase.  相似文献

The energy eigenvalues and corresponding eigenfunctions are calculated by Nikiforov–Uvarov method. Wavefunctions are expressed in terms of Jacobi polynomials. A new tetranuclear copper(II) complex which mimics the active site of catechol oxidase was synthesized and characterized by IR, CHN, electronic spectroscopic and 1H NMR methods. The title complex [Cu2(μ-OH)(bpbpmp-NO2)]2[ClO4]2 was employed in the construction of a novel biomimetic sensor and used in the determination of chlorogenic acid by square wave voltammetry. The performance and optimization of the resulting biomimetic sensor were studied in detail. The best response of this sensor was obtained for 75:15:10% (w/w/w) ratio of the graphite powder:nujol:Cu(II) complex, 0.1 mol L−1 phosphate buffer solution (pH 7.0), with frequency, pulse amplitude, and scan increment at 30 Hz, 100 mV, and 3.0 mV, respectively. The chlorogenic acid concentration was linear in the range of 5.0 × 10−6 to 1.45 × 10−4 mol L−1 (r = 0.9985) with a detection limit of 8.0 × 10−7 mol L−1. This biomimetic sensor demonstrated long-term stability (250 days; 640 determinations) and reproducibility, with a relative standard deviation of 10.0%. The recovery study of chlorogenic acid in coffee samples gave values from 93.2% to 106.1% and the concentrations determined showed good agreement when compared with those obtained using capillary electrophoresis at the 95% confidence level.  相似文献

The European Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC requires monitoring of organic priority pollutants in so-called whole water samples, i.e. in aqueous non-filtered samples that contain natural colloidal and suspended particulate matter. Colloids and suspended particles in the liquid phase constitute a challenge for sample homogeneity and stability. Within the joint research project ENV08 “Traceable measurements for monitoring critical pollutants under the European Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC”, whole water test materials were developed by spiking defined amounts of aqueous slurries of ultra-finely milled contaminated soil or sediment and aqueous solutions of humic acid into a natural mineral water matrix. This paper presents the results of an European-wide interlaboratory comparison (ILC) using this type of test materials. Target analytes were tributyltin, polybrominated diphenyl ethers and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the ng/L concentration range. Results of the ILC indicate that the produced materials are sufficiently homogeneous and stable to serve as samples for, e.g. proficiency testing or method validation. To our knowledge, this is the first time that ready-to-use water materials with a defined amount of suspended particulate and colloidal matter have been applied as test samples in an interlaboratory exercise. These samples meet the requirements of the European Water Framework Directive. Previous proficiency testing schemes mainly employed filtered water samples fortified with a spike of the target analyte in a water-miscible organic solvent.  相似文献

An investigation on the partitioning of naphthalene and phenanthrene between water and some water-insoluble phases has been carried out by Uv-vis-NIR spectrophotometry. The analysis of the experimental results emphasized the role of intermolecular interactions and structural features of the hosting phases as driving forces of the partitioning of these polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. The critical comparison of the resulting distribution constants allowed to evaluate the potentials of some extracting phases to set up sensitive analytical methods and/or effective environment remediation technologies.  相似文献

We studied spermiogenesis in the Mediterranean Gecko, Hemidactylus turcicus, at the electron microscope level and compared to what is known within other Lepidosaurs. In H. turcicus germ cells are connected via cytoplasmic bridges where organelle and cytoplasm sharing is observed. The acrosome develops from merging transport vesicles that arise from the Golgi and subsequently partition into an acrosomal cap containing an acrosomal cortex, acrosomal medulla, perforatorium, and subacrosomal cone. Condensation of DNA occurs in a spiral fashion and elongation is aided by microtubules of the manchette. A nuclear rostrum extends into the subacrosomal cone and is capped by an epinuclear lucent zone. Mitochondria and rough endoplasmic reticulum migrate to the posterior portion of the developing germ cell during the cytoplasmic shift and the flagellum elongates. Mitochondria surround the midpiece as the anlage of the annulus forms. The fibrous sheath begins at mitochondrial tier 3 and continues into the principal piece. Peripheral fibers associated with microtubule doublets 3 and 8 are grossly enlarged. During the final stages of germ cell development spermatids are wrapped with a series of Sertoli cell processes, which exhibit ectoplasmic specializations and differing cytoplasmic consistencies. The results observed here corroborate previous studies, which show the conservative nature of sperm morphology. However, ultrastructural character combinations specific to sperm and spermiogenesis seem to differ among taxa. Further studies into sperm morphology are needed in order to judge the relevance of the ontogenic changes recorded here and to determine their role in future studies on amniote evolution.  相似文献
