Compensation of the intracavity dispersion in the mode-locked oscillator is known to be one of the most important factors for ultrashort pulse generation. However, recent investigations of a Yb-doped fiber mode-locked oscillator revealed that precise third-order dispersion (TOD) compensation is not always necessary for ultrashort pulse generation, owing to the strong nonlinearity that compensates residual TOD without reducing its spectral bandwidth. The origin of the nonlinear TOD compensation has remained unclear. To investigate the process in detail, we studied the pulse evolution inside a 30 fs Yb-doped fiber mode-locked oscillator both experimentally and numerically, and we found that the nonlinear phase shift with a temporally asymmetric pulse shape introduces an appropriate amount of TOD that exactly cancels the residual cavity dispersion.  相似文献

Two metal cooperation : A homodinuclear Co2–Schiff base complex Co2(OAc)2– 1 promoted the asymmetric 1,4‐addition of β‐keto esters to alkynones under solvent‐free conditions in air (see scheme). The reactions proceeded without air or moisture sensitivity in high yields and with high enantioselectivities (99–91 % ee) at room temperature under highly concentrated conditions (neat–20 M ) with 0.1–2.5 mol % catalyst loading.

In the crystal structure of 6‐phenyl‐3‐thioxo‐2,3,4,5‐tetrahydro‐1,2,4‐triazin‐5‐one, C9H7N3OS, (I), the 1,2,4‐triazine moieties are connected by face‐to‐face contacts through two kinds of double hydrogen bonds (N—H...O and N—H...S), which form planar ribbons along the a axis. The ribbons are crosslinked through C—H...π interactions between the phenyl rings. The molecular structures of two regioisomeric compounds, namely 6‐phenyl‐2,3‐dihydro‐7H‐1,3‐thiazolo[3,2‐b][1,2,4]triazin‐7‐one, C11H9N3OS, (II), and 3‐phenyl‐6,7‐dihydro‐4H‐1,3‐thiazolo[2,3‐c][1,2,4]triazin‐4‐one, C11H9N3OS, (III), which were prepared by the condensation reaction of (I) with 1,2‐dibromoethane, have been characterized by X‐ray crystallography and spectroscopic studies. The crystal structures of (II) and (III) both show two crystallographically independent molecules. While the two compounds are isomers, the unit‐cell parameters and crystal packing are quite different and (II) has a chiral crystal structure.  相似文献

It is shown that the limits of the nested subclasses of five classes of infinitely divisible distributions on ${\mathbb{R}^{d}}$ , which are the Jurek class, the Goldie– Steutel–Bondesson class, the class of selfdecomposable distributions, the Thorin class and the class of generalized type G distributions, are identical with the closure of the class of stable distributions. We discuss quadrature domains for subharmonic functions and prove the existence of core quadrature domains for certain positive measures. The core quadrature domains are the smallest quadrature domains as measures and inherit good properties from quadrature domains with finite volume. We next discuss new balayage for the class of harmonic functions integrable in a neighborhood of ∞. We give several estimates of balayage measures. Restriction landmark genome scanning (RLGS) is a 2-DE of genomic DNA, which visualizes thousands of loci. In a conventional RLGS method for methylation analysis, we have used a methylation sensitive restriction enzyme, NotI as a landmark. However, it was unable to discriminate methylation polymorphism from sequence polymorphism. Here, we report an improved RLGS method to detect methylated sites directly. We employed isoschizomers, MspI and HpaII, that recognize the same sequence (CCGG) but have different methylation sensitivity. We carried out the RLGS analysis of Arabidopsis thaliana ecotype Columbia, and obtained a pair of spot patterns with MspI and HpaII. We detected 22 spots in both patterns. In comparison of them, 18% of the spots were polymorphic, which indicated the methylation of C(5m)CGG sites. Further analyses revealed an additional methylated site of NotI. Moreover, 52 and 54 restriction enzyme sites were also analyzed in two other ecotypes, Wassilewskija and Landsberg erecta, respectively. Consequently, 15% of the 52 common sites showed methylation polymorphism among the three ecotypes. The restriction sites analyzed in this study were located in or near genes, and contribute new data about the correlation between methylation status and gene expression. Therefore, this result strongly indicates that the improved RLGS method is readily applicable to practical analyses of methylation dynamics, and provides clues to the relationship between methylation and gene expression.  相似文献

Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PIPAAm) of controlled molecular weight was densely grafted onto glass capillary lumenal surfaces using surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). Temperature-dependent changes of these thermoresponsive brush surfaces with hydrophobic steroids were investigated by exploiting thermoresponsive aqueous wettability changes of the polymer-modified surfaces in microfluidic systems. IPAAm was polymerized on ATRP initiator-immobilized glass surfaces using CuCl/CuCl(2)/tris(dimethylaminoethyl)amine (Me(6)TREN) as an ATRP catalyst in water at 25 degrees C. PIPAAm graft layer thickness and its homogeneity on glass surfaces are controlled by changing ATRP reaction time. Aqueous wettability changes of PIPAAm-grafted surfaces responses drastically changed to both grafted polymer layer thickness and temperature, especially at lower temperatures. Temperature-responsive surface properties of these PIPAAm brushes within capillary inner wall surfaces were then investigated using capillary chromatography. Effective interaction of hydrophobic steroids with dehydrated, hydrophobized PIPAAm-grafted capillary surfaces was observed above 30 degrees C without any column packing materials. Steroid elution behavior from PIPAAm-grafted capillaries contrasted sharply with that from PIPAAm hydrogel-grafted porous monolithic silica capillaries prepared by electron beam (EB) irradiation wherein significant peak broadening was observed at high-temperature regardless of sample hydrophobicity factors (log P values), indicating multistep separation modes in coated monolithic silica capillaries. In conclusion, thermoresponsive polymer-grafted capillary inner wall surfaces prepared by ATRP exhibit useful temperature-dependent surface property alterations effective to regulate interactions with biomolecules without requirements for separation bed packing materials within the capillary lumen.  相似文献

Measurement precision based on homogeneous and accurate standard samples has been reported to result in significant improvement in the sensitivity and accuracy of the quantitative analysis of polymorphic mixtures. The purpose of this study was to further improve the accuracy of the quantitation based on data processing by artificial neural networks (ANNs), using such high quality standard samples. Homogeneous powder mixtures of - and γ-forms of indomethacin (IMC) at various ratios (0–50% -form content) were subjected to X-ray powder diffractometry. The two diffraction peaks selected as the best combination in multiple linear regression (MLR) were used in the ANN with an extended Kalman filter as a training algorithm. The results obtained by ANN had better predictive accuracy at lower contents (0–5%) compared to those of MLR. ANNs for the diffraction data based on high quality standard samples provide an extremely precise and accurate quantification for polymorphic mixtures.  相似文献
