Aufschluß biologischer Matrices für die Bestimmung sehr niedriger Spurenelementgehalte bei begrenzter Einwaage mit Salpetersäure unter Druck in einem Teflongefäß

For the determination of trace elements (< 10^?4%) in biological materials (e.g. tissue, food, sewage muds) in samples ≤ 500 mg a pressure decomposition with nitric acid or a mixture of nitric and hydrofluoric acid in a teflon tube is described. The recoveries for the volatile elements, e.g. Hg, Se and I, in the ng-range were investigated by the tracer method and were found to be ≥ 98%.

Gleichgewichtsbedingungen in der Gittertheorie

The equilibrium conditions of an infinite crystal lattice result in symmetry relations of lattice sums. This was first shown byKun Huang who obtained these relations by comparing the linear theory of elasticity with the corresponding limit of lattice theory, a procedure which has been criticized by some authors. It is shown here how one can obtainKun Huang's results by using only trivial invariance properties of the potential energy. The same method is applied to get equilibrium relations for higher order (anharmonic) terms of lattice theory which are symmetry relations of tensors used in non linear elastic theory.

A class of symmetric and a class of Wiener group algebras

It is shown that connected groups of polynomial growth and compact extensions of nilpotent group have symmetric group algebras and that the group algebras of discrete solvable groups have the Wiener property.     

Monotonie und randspektrum bei vollstetigen operatoren

Zusammenfassung Es sei A ein vollstetiger linearer Operator eines Banachraums in sich. Es wird gezeigt, daß sich die Eigenschaft es gibt eine Halbordnung mit totalem Ordnungskegel, bezüglich der A monoton ist durch Aussagen allein über diejenigen Eigenwerte von A, deren Betrag gleich dem Spektralradius ist, charakterisieren läßt. Generalized Newman-Unti expansions

Newman-Unti type expansions for the metric, the spin coefficients and the Riemann tensor components are exhibited for spacetimes which are not necessarily vacuum and in a frame which is not necessarily a Bondi frame. These expansions are given for both the physical spacetime and for the corresponding conformally rescaled (“unphysical”) space.
