We present a method of simulating the Dirac equation in 3+1 dimensions for a free spin-1/2 particle in a single trapped ion. The Dirac bispinor is represented by four ionic internal states, and position and momentum of the Dirac particle are associated with the respective ionic variables. We show also how to simulate the simplified 1+1 case, requiring the manipulation of only two internal levels and one motional degree of freedom. Moreover, we study relevant quantum-relativistic effects, like the Zitterbewegung and Klein's paradox, the transition from massless to massive fermions, and the relativistic and nonrelativistic limits, via the tuning of controllable experimental parameters.  相似文献

We demonstrate the generation of optically carried, broadly tunable, millimeter-wave signals with a dual-frequency single-axis Nd:YAG laser. A frequency difference as high as 127 GHz is reached thanks to an intracavity electro-optically tunable etalon made of lead zirconate tantalate (PLZT) ceramic. We show that the available frequency range is actually limited by the bandwidth of the amplification medium, namely, far beyond the usually accepted free spectral range value in the case of a single-axis laser. Both coarse discrete and fine continuous tunabilities are obtained with the same voltage-controlled device, opening the way to widely tunable low-phase-noise optically carried submillimeter or even terahertz sources.  相似文献

为了在弹性波波导中实现缺陷态的调控,该文基于相位失配原理设计了一种周期性平板波导结构。以正弦边界弹性波导为例,通过连接具有不同相位的两段波导结构,形成了弹性板中不同程度的缺陷,并分析了其谱带特性和能量局域化特征。结果表明,禁带中存在两个不同模式的缺陷态,其以透射峰形式出现并随着相位的改变产生频移。与此同时,两个缺陷态在空间上对应的应力场和位移场分布也具有不同的模态特征。该文提出的复合弹性波导缺陷态调控方法,不仅为研究弹性波与结构之间的内在联系提供了关键的理论支持,也为实际弹性波探测器件的设计提供重要参考。  相似文献

A numerical study on the dynamic response of a mechanical system composed of two coaxial cylinders in relative rotation and unilateral contact with Coulomb friction is presented. This discussion complements the semi-analytical results on stick–slip waves given in Moirot, Nguyen, C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris Sér. IIb 328 (2000) 663–669, by some numerical simulations on the dynamic transition of the system from a given initial state to a surface wave. The case of stick–slip–separation waves is considered. The conductivity or bulk modulus of an isotropic composite consisting of two well-ordered isotropic phases is situated between the lower and upper bounds of Hashin and Shtrikman. This work is concerned with the construction of two new microstructures capable of realizing every conductivity or bulk modulus comprised between these bounds. The two microstructures obtained, appearing to be simpler than those presented in the literature to achieve the same purpose, have the property that the variation of the corresponding conductivity or bulk modulus is strictly monotone with respect to the geometric parameter characterizing them. As an attempt to develop a sensitive device for biomolecule detection, a micromechanical methodology based on the rheological change of an air–water interface is put forward (Berthier and Davoust, CEA/CNRS patent, PCT International Application WO 2003/080209 A3, 2003). Capillary waves induced from the vertical electrodynamic vibration of a brimful cylindrical tank filled with water stand as a good way to identify dilational elasticity and viscosity of an aging interface. Before, we were interested of the fact that complex wave number and the frequency of waves are obtained through an optical technique, which allows us to accurately recognize the whole interface geometry. These two parameters, a modeling based on a dispersion relation (Lucassen-Reynders and Lucassen, Adv Colloid Interface Sci, 2:347, 1969) and the surface mass transport equation, are jointly used to identify the surface diffusivity and the dilational rheology of the interface for a nonsoluble biochemical surfactant. Preliminary results obtained from a water surface functionalized by DNA, thanks to a lipidic monolayer, demonstrate the capabilities of the proposed methodology. The sensitivity of dilational rheology and the surface diffusivity on DNA adsorption on lipids is made evident.This paper was presented at the Annual Meeting of the European Society of Rheology, Grenoble, April 2005.  相似文献

This work is concerned with a two-phase material consisting of an elastoplastic matrix reinforced by linearly elastic fibres. It is first shown that uniform strain fields can be generated in this heterogeneous material. A return-mapping based algorithm is then proposed and used to find uniform strain loading paths. With the help of uniform strain fields, exact results, independent of the transverse geometry and arrangement of the fibres, are derived for the effective elastic properties and for the effective initial and current yield surfaces. The present paper demonstrates how the directional characteristics of an actual three-segment electrodiffusional sensor can be calculated from the probe image. It was shown that utilization of ‘ideal’ directional characteristics lead to an important (up to 15°) error in flow angle determination. The directional characteristics calculated from the probe image improve significantly (up to 50%) the accuracy of the flow angle measurements. To cite this article: F. Barbeu et al., C. R. 本文在长波假定下用流体力学线性稳定性理论对大动脉中血液流动求出了一种中性扰动。结果表明,心室或瓣引起的扰动在一定条件下有可能量一种中性扰动,它可以沿着动脉管无变形地传播到动脉远端。这说明也许有可能提供一种通过在远离心脏的某些浅表动脉部位检测这种中性成动以了解心脏的某些功能的新方法。  相似文献
