The charge transport characteristics of organic semiconductors are one of the key attributes that impacts the performance of organic electronic and optoelectronic devices in which they are utilized. For improved performance in organic photovoltaic cells, light-emitting diodes, and field-effect transistors (FETs), efficient transport of the charge carriers within the organic semiconductor is especially critical. Characterization of charge transport in these organic semiconductors is important both from scientific and technological perspectives. In this review, we shall mainly discuss the techniques for measuring the charge carrier mobility and not the theoretical underpinnings of the mechanism of charge transport. Mobility measurements in organic semiconductors and particularly in conjugated polymers, using space-charge-limited current, time of flight, carrier extraction by linearly increasing voltage, double injection, FETs, and impedance spectroscopy are discussed. Functionalization of periodic mesoporous organosilicas (PMOs) with high loadings of pendant organic groups to form bifunctional PMOs with ordered mesostructures remains a challenging objective. Herein, we report that well‐ordered ethane‐bridged PMOs functionalized with exceptionally high loadings of pendant carboxylic acid groups (up to 80 mol % based on silica) were synthesized by the co‐condensation of 1,4‐bis(trimethoxysilyl)ethane (BTME) and carboxyethylsilanetriol sodium salt (CES) with Pluronic P123 as the template and KCl as an additive under acidic conditions. The bifunctional materials were characterized by using a variety of techniques, including powder X‐ray diffraction, nitrogen‐adsorption/desorption, TEM, and solid‐state 13C and 29Si NMR spectroscopy. Zeta‐potential measurements showed that the surface negative charges increased with increasing the CES content. This property makes them potential candidates for applications in drug adsorption. The excellent adsorption capacity of these bifunctional PMOs towards an anticancer drug (doxorubicin) was also demonstrated.  相似文献

Cu(I)/Fe(III) promoted C4-dicarbonylation of 5-aminopyrazole is developed. The strategy involved radical triggered direct oxidative coupling of 5-aminopyrazoles with methyl ketones using aerial oxygen as a source of oxygen in newly generated carbonyl group. CuI is used as catalyst and FeCl3·6H2O is used as additive and the reaction proceeded at 120?°C in DMSO for 9–12?h. It is found that use of Cu(II) catalyst gives the thiomethylated product by reacting with DMSO instead of oxidative coupling. A plausible mechanism is also given.  相似文献

A metallic fishnet metamaterial structure in sub-THz region is presented. The proposed structure is based on hexagonal resonators. Simulations have been performed by a 3D full-wave electromagnetic simulator and a negative refractive index has been observed at the frequency range between 0.55 and 0.70 THz with the help of the graphene layer. In order to observe the effect of the graphene layer, the metamaterial structure has been simulated and examined before and after graphene integration. Significant modification in the propagation properties has been observed after the graphene integration. Change in S-parameters with the size variation of hexagonal resonators and alteration in graphene thickness are also presented as a parametric study to show the tunability of the structure. Suitability of the metamaterial for sensor applications has been investigated. The proposed metamaterial structure is promising to be effectively used for tunability and sensor applications.  相似文献

Magnetically active CuFe2O4 catalyzed cascade synthesis of 4-Aryl-1H-1,2,3-triazoles under microwave irradiation starting from aromatic aldehydes, sodium azide and nitromethane has been developed and demonstrated here. The catalyst system needed for the purpose was prepared following a procedure by A. Dandiya et al. with a slight modification and was characterized using FT-IR, XRD, SEM-EDX and TEM analysis. The most notable advantage of the developed methodology is the excellent time economy to carry out the transformation. Other features include simple operating procedure, wide substrate coverage and easy recovery of the catalyst. Reusability of the catalyst has been tested and found to be very satisfactory up to sixth cycle without significant loss in efficiency. All the synthesized compounds have been characterized using FTIR, 1H & 13CNMR spectroscopy, HRMS.  相似文献

Self‐healable poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) composites were fabricated with embedded glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) encapsulated poly(melamine‐formaldehyde) microcapsules. The matrix polymers were synthesized via Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization using two different initiators; one linear and another hexafunctional. As the so prepared polymer matrix retains living characteristics, it can initiate a healing reaction when the encapsulated monomer reaches the matrix due to formation or extension of a crack and thus healing the system covalently. The effect of number of initiating functionality on healing characteristic was studied using both linear and 6‐armed star PMMA having same targeted molecular weight. Both the systems were able to restore 100% original fracture toughness after healing. However, the polymer matrix prepared by hexafunctional initiator restored the fracture toughness much faster than that of the linear polymer matrix. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym.
