Plasmon mode imaging of single gold nanorods 总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5
We have investigated two-photon-induced photoluminescence images and spectra of single gold nanorods by using an apertured scanning near-field optical microscope. The observed PL spectrum of single gold nanorod can be explained by the radiative recombination of the electron-hole pair near the X and L symmetry points. PL images reveal characteristic features reflecting an eigenfunction of a specific plasmon mode as well as electric field distributions around the nanorod. 相似文献

Total synthesis of ingenol, a diterpene isolated from the genus Euphorbia, was accomplished on the basis of the novel key reactions. The highly strained ingenane skeleton was constructed through an intramolecular cyclization reaction of an acetylene dicobalt complex followed by a rearrangement reaction of an epoxy alcohol. An AD converter was interfaced between a conventional instrument of atomic absorption and microcomputer. The system can measure signals within a full-scale precision of 0.4%. For a single measurement only a small volume of sample solution, down to 200 μl. is aspirated. Backgrounds and atomic absorption signals are determined after averaging 64 binary data samples from a single measurement. Results of analysis are printed out by computer calculation after the measurements.The system was applied to the analysis of zinc sulfide phosphors having different particle sizes and structures. Radical polymerization of fumarates bearing different alkyl ester groups (DRF) on the same molecules was investigated. In bulk polymerization of DRF at 60°C initiated with 2,2′-azobis(isobutyronitrile), it was confirmed that the polymerization reactivity depended on the structures of both alkyl ester groups. The introduction of bulky alkyl groups increased the polymerization rate and molecular weight of the polymer because of retardation of bimolecular termination rates. The effect of the ester substituents on the termination was examined by electron spin resonance spectroscopy. Wet poly(vinyl chloride) (wPVC) coated glassy carbon (GC) electrode was prepared by casting a DMF solution of poly(vinyl chloride) on glassy carbon and immersing it in methanol, and then in water. The wPVC coated GC (wPVC/GC) electrode showed electrochemical activity in aqueous solution; therefore, it was possible to obtain a wPVC/polypyrolle (PPy) composite by electropolymerization from aqueous solution of pyrolle (Py) into the wPVC matrix on the electrode. PPy segregated in wPVC matrix and the mechanical properties of PPy was improved by forming a composite without changing the electrochemical properties of PPy. In situ optical second harmonic generation (SHG) technique was employed to investigate the shape and density of Cu nanoclusters, which were electrochemically formed on p-GaAs(001) electrode surfaces. Since GaAs is not a centrosymmetric medium, a significant portion of SHG signal arises from the bulk dipole susceptibility, but it was possible to separate a surface-induced signal from a bulk-induced signal by choosing an appropriate experimental geometry and appropriate data processing. The rotational anisotropy (RA) pattern of the SHG signal from a p-GaAs(001) electrode changed in both shape and magnitude during potential cycling in an electrolyte solution containing Cu2+. The surface plasmon-induced SHG signal from Cu nanoclusters deposited on GaAs was attributed to the modulation source for the RA-SHG pattern. More detailed study was carried out with both in situ SHG and ex situ AFM measurements for Cu nanoclusters deposited by potential step. The results showed that the SHG signal at the present optical geometry was sensitive to the number of oblate or flattened Cu nanoclusters with lateral diameter larger than 30 nm and that the SHG enhancement occurred because of resonant coupling between the surface plasmon induced in the flattened Cu nanoclusters and the near-infrared fundamental light. 相似文献

Systematic series of indium tin oxide (ITO) electrodes modified covalently with self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) of ferrocene-porphyrin-fullerene triads and porphyrin-fullerene dyads were designed to gain valuable insight into the development of molecular photovoltaic devices. The structures of SAMs on ITO have been investigated by UV/Vis absorption spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, and cyclic voltammetry. The photoelectrochemical and photophysical (fluorescence lifetime and time-resolved transient absorption) properties were also determined. The highest quantum yield of photocurrent generation (11 %) among donor-acceptor linked systems which are covalently attached to the surface of ITO electrodes was achieved with SAMs of ferrocene-zinc porphyrin-fullerene linked triad on ITO electrodes. The quantum yields of photocurrent generation correlate well with the charge-separation efficiency and the lifetime of the charge-separated state of the porphyrin-fullerene linked systems in solution. These results provide valuable information for the construction of photonic molecular devices and artificial photosynthetic systems on ITO electrodes. 相似文献
