The phosphapalladacycle derived from 1-(2',5'-dimethylphenyl)ethyldiphenylphosphine has been prepared in the optically active and racemic forms. The phosphine was synthesized as a racemate by the treatment of 1-chloro-1-(2',5'-dimethylphenyl)ethane with sodium diphenylphosphide in THF. The racemic phosphapalladacycle was subsequently obtained as the chloro-bridged dimer by the treatment of the phosphine with palladium(II) acetate followed by anion metathesis with lithium chloride. Alternatively, the phosphine could be optically resolved via metal complexation using (R,R)-bis(mu-chloro)bis{1-[1-(N,N-dimethylamino)ethyl]naphthyl-C(2),N}dipalladium(II) as the resolving agent. An efficient separation of the resulting diastereomeric complexes was achieved by silica gel chromatography. The obtained optically resolved diastereomers were next subject to chemoselective removal of the (R)-N,N-(dimethylamino)-1-(1-naphthyl)ethylaminate auxiliary by treatment with concentrated hydrochloric acid. This process yielded the binuclear dimer complexes containing the resolved eta(1)-P ligand. Cyclopalladation of the coordinated phosphine could next be performed by treatment of its eta(1)-P binuclear dimer with silver(I) hexafluorophosphate(V) in a dichloromethane/water mixture followed by treatment with lithium chloride, giving rise to a pair of optically pure enantiomeric dimers with [alpha](D) -322 and +319 degrees in CH(2)Cl(2). Despite the possibilities of the phosphine to attain a five- membered structure by ortho-palladation or a six-membered ring formation by aliphatic C-H bond activation, only the former was observed. X-ray crystallographic data of the meso dimer and an acetylacetonate derivative indicated that the phosphapalladacycle alpha-C methyl substituent was axially located. The 2-D (1)H-(1)H ROESY spectrum of the acetylacetonate derivative further revealed that the phosphapalladacycle was conformationally rigid in CDCl(3). 相似文献

Abstract— The photocycloaddition reaction of 5,7-dimethoxycoumarin to thymidine on direct irradiation (λ > 300 nm) is studied as a model for photosensitization reaction of furocoumarins. The major photoadducts were isolated by silica gel column and gel permeation chromatography. Each component of the photoadducts was further separated by reverse phase, paired-ion high performance liquid chromatography. The structure of these photoproducts isolated is consistent with 1:1 C4 -cycloadducts in accordance with characteristics of their UV, IR, NMR and mass spectra and elemental analysis data. The stereochemistry of each isomer was studied by Fourier transform NMR, UV and IR spectra. The fraction C has the anti head-to-tail configuration and the fraction D has the configuration of anti head-to-head. The fractions A and B probably have the syn configuration. 相似文献

Spiroxazine are of considerable interest as photochromic materials because of their application. On the other hand, surface plasmon resonance (SPR) is a well-known optical method for measuring optical constants of thin film. In this study, photochromic materials were used as self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) of newly synthesized spiroxazine derivatives. We used Fresnel equation (four-layer model) to determine the precise dielectric constant () of the photochromic monolayers. Structure changes of spiroxazine derivatives under UV-light irradiation resulted in the change of optical constants, the dielectric constant and thickness. The obtained results indicated that the ring opening of photochromic spiroxazine can lead to the decrease in the dielectric constant and thickness. 相似文献

The interaction of pairs of bubbles with equal diameters grown on adjacent capillaries in aqueous magnesium sulfate solutions is observed for varying electrolyte concentrations and bubble diameters. As in previous investigations, a sharp transition from coalescence to bubble detachment without coalescence is observed with increasing electrolyte concentration. The critical electrolyte concentration for this transition is found to increase with decreasing bubble diameter for bubble diameters of 1.4 to 4.2 mm. 相似文献

Two-dimensional ordered arrays of gold (Au) nanoparticles were fabricated using two different variants of the nanosphere lithography technique. First, ordered arrays of polystyrene nanospheres on Si substrate were used as deposition masks through which gold films were deposited by electron beam evaporation. After the removal of the nanospheres, an array of triangular Au nanodisks was left on the Si substrate. After thermal annealing at increasing temperature, systematic shape transition of the nanostructures from original triangular Au nanodisks to rounded nanoparticles was observed. This approach allows us to systematically vary the size and morphology of the particles. In the second and novel technique, we made use of reactive ion etching to simultaneously reduce the dimension of the masking nanospheres and create arrays of nanopores on the substrate prior to the deposition of the Au films. These samples were subsequently annealed, which resulted in size-tunable and ordered Au nanoparticle arrays with the nanoparticles nested in the nanopores of the templated substrate. With the nanoparticles anchored in the nanopores, the substrate could be useful as a template for growth of other nanomaterials. 相似文献

Kinetic and product studies of the solvolyses of acyclic phosphorochloridates are extended to two cyclic diesters, 2-chloro-1,3,2-dioxaphospholane-2-oxide (1) and 2-chloro-5,5-dimethyl-1,3,2-dioxaphosphorinane-2-oxide (2). Slightly faster solvolyses are observed for 1 than for the acyclic dimethyl phosphorochloridate (3), and 2 solvolyzes somewhat slower than 3. An extended Grunwald–Winstein equation treatment shows similar sensitivities to changes in solvent nucleophilicity and solvent ionizing power for 1, 2, and 3, and a concerted SN2 attack is proposed in each case. Two homologous series of 2-(4-alkanoyloxybenzylidenamino)benzothiazoles and 2-(2-hydroxy-4-alkanoyloxybenzylidenamino)benzothiazoles were synthesised and characterised. Their molecular structures differed wherein the latter comprised a lateral hydroxyl group, unlike the former. Spectroscopic techniques such as FT-IR, 1H & 13C NMR and mass spectrometry together with elemental analysis were employed to elucidate the molecular structures. The transition temperatures and their mesophases were determined by differential scanning calorimetry, optical polarising microscopy and X-ray diffraction techniques. Members with decanoyloxy till hexadecanoloxy chain in the series without the lateral hydroxyl group each exhibited a smectic A phase, while those in the series with the lateral hydroxyl group were non-mesogenic. The mesomorphic properties of the present series were compared with other structurally related series to establish the chemical structure–mesomorphic properties relationship. 相似文献
