The chemical composition, structure, and properties of an H3PO4-promoted polycrystalline silver foil are studied by XPS. The surface of the doped sample contains oxygen in two states with binding energies of 531.1 and 533.0 eV. Heat treatment results in silver clusters distributed in the polyphosphate matrix. It follows from TDS data that the surface of the promoted catalyst contains a strongly bound oxygen species that desorbs at ~900 K. A number of previously undescribed propylidenearylamine dimers have been synthesized by the interaction of propionaldehyde with a series of para-substituted anilines(R=H, CH3, OCH3, F, Cl, Br, I) and with-naphthylamine. The structure of the bis-propylidenearylamines has been established by a study of their IR and UV spectra. It has been shown that all the bis-propylidenearylamines, except for bis(propylidene-p-fluoroaniline), have the structure of 2-ethyl-3-methyl-4-arylamino-1, 2, 3, 4-tetrahydroquinolines. The dipole moments of the bis(propylidene-p-R-anilines) have been determined. Comparison of the values obtained with the calculated values indicates that the most favorable molecular conformation of the bispropylidenearylamines is a tetrahydroquinoline half-chain with quasi-equatorial positions for the 4-NHAr and NH groups and an equatorial 3-CH3 group. In contrast to the bis-ethylideneanilines, we did not succeed in finding other stable conformers for the bis-propylidene derivatives. The surface state of electrolytic silver before and after treatment with a reaction mixture in the course of ethylene glycol oxidation to glyoxal was studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. It was found that electrophilic forms of adsorbed oxygen, which participate in the selective conversion of ethylene glycol, were formed on the surface of electrolytic silver crystals under exposure to oxygen under conditions similar to catalytic process conditions. The treatment of the catalyst with a reaction mixture resulted in the formation of filamentous carbon deposition products. A mechanism of formation of carbon-containing products was proposed. 相似文献

The CH2Cl + CH3 (1) and CHCl2 + CH3 (2) cross-radical reactions were studied by laser photolysis/photoionization mass spectroscopy. Overall rate constants were obtained in direct real-time experiments in the temperature region 301-800 K and bath gas (helium) density (6-12) x 10(16) atom cm(-3). The observed rate constant of reaction 1 can be represented by an Arrhenius expression k1 = 3.93 x 10(-11) exp(91 K/T) cm3 molecule(-1) s(-1) (+/-25%) or as an average temperature-independent value of k1= (4.8 +/- 0.7) x 10(-11) cm3 molecule(-1) s(-1). The rate constant of reaction 2 can be expressed as k2= 1.66 x 10(-11) exp(359 K/T) cm3 molecule(-1) s(-1) (+/-25%). C2H4 and C2H3Cl were detected as the primary products of reactions 1 and 2, respectively. The experimental values of the rate constant are in reasonable agreement with the prediction based on the "geometric mean rule." A separate experimental attempt to determine the rate constants of the high-temperature CH2Cl + O2 (10) and CHCl2 + O2 (11) reaction resulted in an upper limit of 1.2 x 10(-16) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) for k10 and k11 at 800 K. 相似文献

The change in the morphology and surface composition of copper alloys (brass LS 59-1, bronzes BrOS 10-10 and BrAJ 9-4) upon irradiation with a high power ion beam of nanosecond duration is studied. It is shown that craters are mainly formed at the location of lead or sulfur inclusions. The reverse deposition of zinc onto the surface of brass is found.
