Double-differential cross sections of inclusive light-ion (p, d, t, 3He and α) production in carbon induced by 96 MeV neutrons have been measured at eight laboratory angles from 20° to 160° in steps of 20°. Experimental techniques, as well as procedures for data taking and data reduction, are presented. Deduced energy-differential and production cross sections are herewith reported. Experimental cross sections are compared with theoretical reaction model calculations and experimental data in the literature. The measured production cross sections for protons, deuterons, tritons, 3He, and α particles support the trends suggested by data at lower energies. Deduced partial kerma coefficients for carbon are also shown. 相似文献

An improved synthetic method has been developed for oligomeric aromatic ether ketone‐based phthalonitrile (PN) resins. A new curing additive was studied that lowers the cure temperature of the PN resin to around 150 °C and compared to the traditional high‐temperature aromatic diamine. Mechanical and thermo‐oxidative analyses of polymeric samples from both systems were determined and compared under various curing conditions. The fictitious spin-1/2 operators are well known to describe the evolution of a pure nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) system; particularly, the application of a radio-frequency pulse at one of the NQR transition frequencies is equivalent to a three-dimensional rotation in a space defined by the corresponding fictitious spin-1/2 operators. We demonstrate, theoretically and experimentally, that consecutive noncommuting rotations applied at the same transition frequency are well described by a single rotation given by quaternion parameterization of the rotations in ficitious spin-1/2 operator space. This new route could greatly save computing time and efforts. We extend this approach to design composite pulses that compensate for the effects of the radio-frequency field inhomogeneity for a powder sample of spin-1 nuclei. 相似文献

A high-throughput method is described for the analysis of D-serine and other neurotransmitters in tissue homogenates. Analysis is performed by microdialysis-capillary electrophoresis (CE) with laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) detection in a sheath flow detection cell. Sample pretreatment is not required as microdialysis sampling excludes proteins and cell fragments. Primary amines are derivatized on-line with o-phthaldialdehyde (OPA) in the presence of beta-mercaptoethanol followed by on-line CE-LIF analysis. Under the separation conditions described here, D-serine is resolved from L-serine and other primary amines commonly found in biological samples. Each separation requires less than 22 s. Eliminating the need for sample pretreatment and performing the high-speed CE analysis on-line significantly reduces the time required for D-serine analysis when compared with traditional methods. This method has been used to quantify D-serine levels in larval tiger salamander retinal homogenates, as well as dopamine, gamma-amino-n-butyric acid (GABA), glutamate and L-aspartate. We present a study of the structure of a fully deuterated methane hydrate under the geological conditions found in the world's oceans. In situ high-resolution neutron diffraction experiments have been performed at temperatures of 220, 275, and 280 K and a pressure of 100 bar, corresponding to the conditions at 1000 m water depth. The data were analyzed with a combination of Rietveld refinement and maximum entropy methods. From the Rietveld refinement, precise atomic parameters of the host lattice could be determined, indicating increasing distortions of the structure of the cages at elevated temperatures and pressures. Debye-Waller factors of the encaged CD(4) molecules have been found to exceed the values of the Debye-Waller factors of the D(2)O molecules considerably. In the large cage of structure type I the thermal center-of-mass displacements of the guests are 5-10 times larger than those of the water molecules. From the maximum entropy analysis maps of the scattering length density have been obtained, showing details of the vibrational amplitudes of the atoms in methane hydrate. The Debye-Waller factors of all molecules have been found to deviate considerably from a simple spherical geometry. 相似文献
