A new definition of atomic charges in molecules is presented which conserves charge and dipole moment. It contains the Mulliken and Löwdin definitions as special cases of zero and first order truncations of commutator expansions. The definition allows for a systematic improvement of charges paralleling the improvement of the basis set in the LCAO approximation. We have tested the definition in thirteen selected diatomics and polyatomics in optimal minimal Slater basis set SCF calculations by means of 4G-level Gaussian expansions. The results suggest that the proposed definition is better than either Mulliken's or Löwdin's definition.Presented in part at the E. U. The brown crystals of [NEt4]2[Se3Br8(Se2Br2)] ( 1 ) were obtained when selenium and bromine reacted in the solution of acetonitrile in the presence of tetraethylammonium bromide. The crystal structure of 1 has been determined by the X‐ray methods and refined to R = 0.0308 for 10433 reflections. The crystals are monoclinic, space group P21 with Z = 2 and a = 12.0393(3) Å, b = 11.8746(3) Å, c = 13.1946(3) Å, β = 96.561(1)° (123 K). In the solid state structure the anion of 1 is built up of Se3Br8 unit which consists of a triangular arrangement of three planar SeBr4 units sharing a common edge through two μ3‐bridging Br atoms, and one Se2Br2 molecule which is linked to one of μ3‐bridging Br atoms. The three SeII atoms form a triangle which is almost perpendicular to the planes given by three SeBr4 moieties. The contact between the μ3Br and the SeI atom of the Se2Br2 molecule is 3.1711(8) Å and can be interpreted as a bond of the donor‐acceptor type with the μ3Br as donor and the Se2Br2 molecule as acceptor. The terminal SeII‐Br and μ3Br‐SeII bond lengths are in the ranges 2.3537(7)–2.4737(7) Å and 2.7628(7)–3.1701(7) Å, respectively. The bond lengths in coordinated Se2Br2 molecule are: SeI‐SeI = 2.2636(9) Å, SeI‐Br = 2.3387(11) and 2.3936(8) Å.  相似文献

Six Ru2(6+) derivatives of the form Ru2(L)4(C[triple bond]CC6H5)(2), where L = 2-Fap, 2,3-F(2)ap, 2,4-F(2)ap, 2,5-F(2)ap, 3,4-F(2)ap, or 2,4,6-F(3)ap, are synthesized and characterized as to their electrochemical, spectroscopic, and/or structural properties. These compounds are synthesized from a reaction between LiC[triple bond]CC6H5 and Ru2(L)4Cl. Two of the investigated complexes exist in a (4,0) isomeric form while four adopt a (3,1) geometric conformation. These two series of geometric isomers are compared with previously characterized (4,0) Ru2(ap)4(C[triple bond]CC6H5)(2), (4,0) Ru2(F5ap)4(C[triple bond]CC6H5)(2), and (3,1) Ru2(F5ap)4(C[triple bond]CC6H5)(2). The overall data on the nine compounds thus provide an opportunity to systematically examine how the electrochemical and structural properties of these Ru2(6+) complexes vary with respect to isomer type and electronic properties of the bridging ligands.  相似文献

Oxygen vacancy diffusion in rutile was studied by Born-Oppenheimer molecular dynamics techniques in the framework of the semiempirical molecular orbital method MSINDO. Migration of an oxygen vacancy from the rutile (110) surface towards the bulk was simulated. The metadynamics technique was employed to accelerate the diffusion processes. In this way, transition state structures and activation energies for the diffusion processes were obtained. Rate constants and the time scale of diffusion processes were estimated for different temperatures using the calculated activation energy. It was found that the vacancies in the bulk are less stable than on the surface. The feasibility of oxygen vacancy diffusion under experimental conditions is discussed.  相似文献

Crystals of 9‐methyl­fluoren‐9‐ol, C14H12O, undergo a reversible phase transition at 176 (2) K. The structure of the high‐temperature α form at 200 K is compared with that of the low‐temperature β form at 100 K. Both polymorphs crystallize in space group P with Z = 4 and contain discrete hydrogen‐bonded R(8) ring tetramers arranged around crystallographic inversion centres. The most obvious changes observed on cooling the crystals to below 176 K are an abrupt increase of ca 0.5 Å in the shortest lattice translation, and a thermal transition with ΔH = 1 kJ mol?1.  相似文献

A series of substituted 3- and 4-(3-aminophenyl)pyridines has been prepared as intermediates for the synthesis of some 1-alkyl-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-7-pyridinyl-3-quinolinecarboxylic acids. The Hantzsch, Hauser and other pyridine syntheses were used. 4-(3-Aminophenyl)pyridine was prepared via 3-(4-pyridinyl)-2-cyclohexen-1-one using the Semmler-Wolff reaction.  相似文献

The two ion-pair complexes, [pyH]2[Zn(mnt)2] (1) and [4,4′-bipyH2]-[Zn(mnt)2] (2), were synthesized, where mnt2− denotes maleonitriledithiolate, and [pyH]+, [4,4′-bipyH2]2+ represent pyridinium and diprotonated 4,4′-bipyridinium, respectively. Their single crystal structures show that there are strong bifurcated H-bonding interactions between the cations of the pyridinium derivative and the [Zn(mnt)2]2− anions in both 1 and 2. The bifurcated H-bonding interactions between the N–H of the pyridiniums and the CN groups of the mnt2− ligands give rise to a 2D layered H-bonding network, the adjacent layers come together in such way as mutual embrace to give a tight pack, thus 2D hydrogen-bonding sheets further develop into 3D H-bonding networks through weak C–HS and ππ stacking interactions in 1. As for 2, the cations and anions connect into several types of H-bonding macrorings ([2+2], [3+3] and [4+4]), these H-bonding macrorings fuse to extend into 2D layered structure, the interpenetration between [3+3] and [4+4] type H-bonding macrorings in the adjacent layers give further rise to novel 3D extended H-bonding networks, in which there are clearly parallel stacks of cations and the chelate rings of anions.  相似文献

2,7-Dibromo-1,6-methano[10]anulene (3) and 2,9-Dibromo-syn-1,6:8,13-diimino[14]anulene (9) were quantitatively separated into their enantiomers by chromatography on triacetylcellulose (TAC) in ethanol. X-ray structure analysis (Bijvoet technique) established the chiralities (+)(R)-3 and (+)(S)-9 for the dextrorotatory enantiomers.Comparison of the CD spectra allowed the configurational assignment to further optically active [10] and [14] anulenes which were also accessible by chromatography onTAC. Conversion of (+)(R)-2-bromo-1,6-methano[10]anulene (2) into the corresponding methylester (–)-4 confirmed its previously proposed chirality (–)(R).2,7-Dibromo-1,6-oxido[10]anulene (7) and 2,9-dibromo-syn-diimino[14]anulene (9) are in contrast to the 2,9-dibromo-syn-dioxido[14]anulene (10) optically stable until 250°C. Consequently their inversion barriers are higher than 42 kcal (176 kJ) mol–1.The CD spectra of mono and disubstituted anulenes (with C1 and C2 symmetry, resp.) are compared: For the [10]anulenes theCotton effect around 330 nm seems to be specific for their configuration with a positive effect indicating (S)-chirality and vice versa. Some regularities concerning the chromatographic resolutions are discussed.

Zusammenfassung 2,7-Dibrom-1,6-methano[10]anulen (3) und 2,9-Dibrom-syn-1,6:8,13-diimino[14]anulen (9) wurden durch Chromatographie an Triacetylcellulose (TAC) in Ethanol quantitativ in ihre Enantiomeren getrennt. Röntgenstruktur-analyse (Bijvoet-Technik) bewies für die rechtsdrehenden Enantiomeren die Chiralität (+)(R)-3 bzw. (+)(S)-9.Ein Vergleich der CD-Spektren ermöglichte die Konfigurationszuordnung weiterer optisch aktiver [10]- und [14]Anulene, die gleichfalls durch Chromato-graphie anTAC erhalten worden waren. Umwandlung von (+)(R)-2-Brom-1,6-methano[10]anulen (2) in den entsprechenden Methylester (–)-4 bestätigte dessen schon früher vorgeschlagene Chiralität (–)(R).Dibrom-1,6-oxido[10]anulen (7) und Dibrom-diimino[14]anulen (9) sind im Gegensatz zum Dioxido[14]anulen (10) bis 250°C optisch stabil. Ihre Inver-sionsbarrieren liegen somit über 42 kcal (176kJ) mol–1.Die CD-Spektren von mono- und disubstituierten Anulenen (mit C1 bzw. C2-Symmetrie) werden verglichen: Für die [10]Anulene scheint derCottoneffekt um 330 nm konfigurationsspezifisch zu sein, wobei ein positiver Effekt (S)-Chiralität anzeigt — und vice versa. Einige Regelmäßigkeiten bezüglich der chromatographischen Enantiomerentrennung werden diskutiert.

Eleven different Ru(2)(4+) and Ru(2)(3+) derivatives are characterized by thin-layer FTIR and UV-visible spectroelectrochemistry under a CO atmosphere. These compounds, which were in-situ electrogenerated from substituted anilinopyridine complexes with a Ru(2)(5+) core, are represented as Ru(2)(L)(4)Cl where L = 2-CH(3)ap, ap, 2-Fap, 2,3-F(2)ap, 2,4-F(2)ap, 2,5-F(2)ap, 3,4-F(2)ap, 3,5-F(2)ap, 2,4,6-F(3)ap, or F(5)ap. The Ru(2)(5+) complexes do not axially bind CO while mono- and bis-CO axial adducts are formed for the Ru(2)(4+) and Ru(2)(3+) derivatives, respectively. Six of the eleven investigated compounds exist in a (4,0) isomeric form while five adopt a (3,1) geometric conformation. These two series of compounds thus provide a large enough number of derivatives to examine trends and differences in the spectroscopic data of the two types of isomers in their lower Ru(2)(4+) and Ru(2)(3+) oxidation states. UV-visible spectra of the Ru(2)(4+) derivatives and IR spectra of the Ru(2)(3+) complexes under CO are both isomer dependent, thus suggesting that these data can be used to reliably predict the isomeric form, i.e., (3,1) or (4,0), of diruthenium complexes containing four unsymmetrical substituted anilinopyridinate bridging ligands; this was confirmed by X-ray crystallographic data for seven compounds whose structures were available.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Die Titelverbindung wurde aus (–)(S) p -2,7-Dibrom-1,6-methano[10]annulen durch Umsetzung mitn-Bu-Li und nachfolgende Reaktion mit D2O dargestellt. Optische Rotationen bei vier Wellenlängen und das Circulardichroismus-Spektrum wurden bestimmt.
