Regioselective titanium alkoxide-mediated reductive cross-coupling reactions of allylic alcohols with vinylsilanes and imines have previously been demonstrated to proceed with allylic transposition by formal metallo-[3,3]-rearrangement [thought to proceed by a sequence of: (1) directed carbometalation, and (2) syn-elimination]. While many examples have been described that support this reaction path, a collection of substrates have recently been identified that react by way of an alternative pathway, delivering a concise convergent route to coupled products bearing a quaternary center.  相似文献

The modification of surfaces with self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) containing multiple different molecules, or containing molecules with multiple different functional components, or both, has become increasingly popular over the last two decades. This explosion of interest is primarily related to the ability to control the modification of interfaces with something approaching molecular level control and to the ability to characterise the molecular constructs by which the surface is modified. Over this time the level of sophistication of molecular constructs, and the level of knowledge related to how to fabricate molecular constructs on surfaces have advanced enormously. This critical review aims to guide researchers interested in modifying surfaces with a high degree of control to the use of organic layers. Highlighted are some of the issues to consider when working with SAMs, as well as some of the lessons learnt (169 references).  相似文献

We demonstrate a simple method for coupling alkynes to alkynes. The method involves tandem azide-alkyne cycloaddition reactions ("click" chemistry) for the immobilization of 1-alkyne species onto an alkyne modified surface in a one-pot procedure. In the case presented, these reactions take place on a nonoxidized Si(100) surface although the approach is general for linking alkynes to alkynes. The applicability of the method in the preparation of electrically well-behaved functionalized surfaces is demonstrated by coupling an alkyne-tagged ferrocene species onto alkyne-terminated Si(100) surfaces. The utility of the approach in biotechnology is shown by constructing a DNA sensing interface by derivatization of the acetylenyl surface with commercially available alkyne-tagged oligonucleotides. Cyclic voltametry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and X-ray reflectometry are used to characterize the coupling reactions and performance of the final modified surfaces. These data show that this synthetic protocol gives chemically well-defined, electronically well-behaved, and robust (bio)functionalized monolayers on silicon semiconducting surfaces.  相似文献

The nature of water interaction with tungsten nanorods (WNRs) fabricated by the glancing-angle deposition technique (GLAD)-using RF magnetron sputtering under various Ar pressures and substrate tilting angles and then subsequent coating with Teflon-has been studied and reported. Such nanostructured surfaces have shown strong water repellency properties with apparent water contact angles (AWCA) of as high as 160°, which were found to depend strongly upon the fabrication conditions. Variations in Ar pressure and the substrate tilting angle resulted in the generation of WNRs with different surface roughness and porosity properties. A theoretical model has been proposed to predict the observed high AWCAs measured at the nanostructure interfaces. The unique pyramidal tip geometry of WNRs generated at low Ar pressure with a high oblique angle reduced the solid fraction at the water interface, explaining the high AWCA measured on such surfaces. It was also found that the top geometrical morphologies controlling the total solid fraction of the WNRs are dependent upon and controlled by both the Ar pressure and substrate tilting angle. The water repellency of the tungsten nanorods with contact angles as high as 160° suggests that these coatings have enormous potential for robust superhydrophobic and anti-icing applications in harsh environments.  相似文献

A naturally occurring Cameroonian smectite clay has been grafted with trimethylpropylammonium groups and the resulting organoclay deposited as thin film onto a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) surface. It was then exploited as a suitable matrix for the accumulation and the electrochemical detection of ascorbic acid (AA) and uric acid (UA). Cyclic voltammetry revealed an increase in oxidation peak responses along with a negative shift of the corresponding anodic peak potential for both AA and UA species when using the organoclay coated GCE in comparison with the bare electrode. The electroanalytical response was improved by coating the electrode surface with a first layer of sublimed ferrocene (FC(s)), and then overcoating with the organoclay film to avoid the mediator leaching. The resulting bilayer film exhibited good characteristics such as extended linear range and high sensitivities for AA and UA, in cyclic voltammetry and amperometry. Interestingly, the redox mediator FC(s) was likely to lower overpotentials for AA oxidation (but not for UA), making possible the selective detection of these species in a mixture. The developed method could be used for the determination of AA in a pharmaceutical preparation and for UA in urine.  相似文献

Oxidation of [Li(DME)(3)][U(CH(2)SiMe(3))(5)] with 0.5 equiv of I(2), followed by immediate addition of LiCH(2)SiMe(3), affords the high-valent homoleptic U(V) alkyl complex [Li(THF)(4)][U(CH(2)SiMe(3))(6)] (1) in 82% yield. In the solid-state, 1 adopts an octahedral geometry as shown by X-ray crystallographic analysis. Addition of 2 equiv of tert-butanol to [Li(DME)(3)][U(CH(2)SiMe(3))(5)] generates the heteroleptic U(IV) complex [Li(DME)(3)][U(O(t)Bu)(2)(CH(2)SiMe(3))(3)] (2) in high yield. Treatment of 2 with AgOTf fails to produce a U(V) derivative, but instead affords the U(IV) complex (Me(3)SiCH(2))Ag(μ-CH(2)SiMe(3))U(CH(2)SiMe(3))(O(t)Bu)(2)(DME) (3) in 64% yield. Complex 3 has been characterized by X-ray crystallography and is marked by a uranium-silver bond. In contrast, oxidation of 2 can be achieved via reaction with 0.5 equiv of Me(3)NO, producing the heteroleptic U(V) complex [Li(DME)(3)][U(O(t)Bu)(2)(CH(2)SiMe(3))(4)] (4) in moderate yield. We have also attempted the one-electron oxidation of complex 1. Thus, oxidation of 1 with U(O(t)Bu)(6) results in formation of a rare U(VI) alkyl complex, U(CH(2)SiMe(3))(6) (6), which is only stable below -25 °C. Additionally, the electronic properties of 1-4 have been assessed by SQUID magnetometry, while a DFT analysis of complexes 1 and 6 is also provided.  相似文献

One essential requirement for more sensitive gadolinium-based MRI contrast agents is to slow the molecular tumbling of the gadolinium(III) ion, which increases the gadolinium's relaxivity (i.e., its ability to speed up the NMR relaxation of nearby water molecules). One route to this is through conjugation to high-molecular-weight polymers such as dendrimers. In this work, amine-functionalized TREN-bis(1,2-HOPO)-TAM-ethylamine and TREN-bis(1-Me-3,2-HOPO)-TAM-ethylamine ligands have been synthesized and attached to biocompatible 40 kDa esteramide (EA)- and poly-l-lysine (PLL)-based dendrimers capable of binding up to eight gadolinium complexes. These conjugates have T(1) relaxivities of up to 38.14 ± 0.02 mM(-1) s(-1) per gadolinium at 37 °C, corresponding to relaxivities of up to 228 mM(-1) s(-1) per dendrimer molecule. This relaxivity expressed on a "per Gd" basis is several times that of the small-molecule complexes and an order of magnitude higher than that of current commercial agents. Because of their high performance and low toxicity, these macromolecules may constitute an attractive complement to currently available gadolinium(III)-based contrast agents.  相似文献
