An analytical method for the simultaneous speciation of butylin and phenyltin compounds has been applied to a study of the water quality in six locations (rivers and sea) in South West Spain. It was not intended to provide a comprehensive survey of the area but to establish what the maximum levels might be for a subsequent and more detailed study. Phenyltin species were not found in any sample, however tributyltin was present (100-400 ng l-1) in the Cadiz Bay samples, which suggests that the biological water quality may sometimes be depressed. Wherever tributyltin was present, dibutyltin and monobutyltin occurred, possibly, as a result of a degradation process. 相似文献

An equation is formulated on the basis of theoretical INDO/FPT calculations which describes the angular dependence of the propanic long-range coupling constant 4JMeH in substituted HCCCH3 fragments. This equation is a truncated Fourier series in the torsion angle ?, HCCMe, which takes into account the dependence of the Fourier coefficients on the bond angle θ, CCMe. The substituent effects are assumed to be additive. Some parameters in the equation may be obtained from the 4JMeH couplings in propane and neopentane derivatives. The calculated effect upon 4JMeH of changes in the bond angle θ is significant and it seems to be in part the cause of some effects which have been attributed to conformational dependence. 相似文献

A novel resin called DEUSS (perdeuterated poly(oxyethylene)-based solid support) has been prepared by anionic polymerization of deuterated [D4]ethylene oxide, followed by cross-linking with deuterated epichlorohydrin. DEUSS can be suspended in a wide range of solvents including organic and aqueous solutions, in which it displays a high swelling capacity. As measured by proton HRMAS of the swollen polymer, the signal intensity of the oxyethylene protons is reduced by a factor of 110 relative to the corresponding nondeuterated poly(oxyethylene)poly(oxypropylene) (POEPOP) resin, thus facilitating detailed HRMAS NMR studies of covalently linked molecules. This 1H NMR invisible matrix was used for the solid-phase synthesis of peptides, oligoureas, and a series of amides as well as their characterization by HRMAS NMR spectroscopy. On-bead NMR spectra of high quality and with resolution comparable to that of liquid samples were obtained and readily interpreted. The complete absence of the parasite resin signals will be of great advantage, for example, for the optimization of multistep solid-phase stereoselective reactions, and for the conformational study of resin-bound molecules in a large variety of solvents. 相似文献

The effects of some organic solvents and acids on the atomic fluorescence of tin in air-hydrogen flames have been examined. Ketones and alcohols greatly reduced the florescence sensitivity in fuel rich air-hydrogen flame whereas organic acids generally enhanced the fluorescence signal. The depressive effect of organic solvents was found to be highly dependent on the fuel to oxidant ratio in the flame. The physical and chemical factors that allow DNA to perform its functions in the cell have been studied for several decades. Recent advances in the synthesis and manipulation of DNA have allowed this field to move ahead especially rapidly during the past fifteen years. One of the most common chemical approaches to the study of interactions involving DNA has been the use of DNA base analogues in which functional groups are added, deleted, blocked, or rearranged. Here we describe a different strategy, in which the polar natural DNA bases are replaced by nonpolar aromatic molecules of the same size and shape. This allows the evaluation of polar interactions (such as hydrogen bonding) with little or no interference from steric effects. We have used these nonpolar nucleoside isosteres as probes of noncovalent interactions such as DNA base pairing and protein - DNA recognition. We have found that, while base-pairing selectivity does depend on Watson - Crick hydrogen bonding in the natural pairs, it is possible to design new bases that pair selectively and stably in the absence of hydrogen bonds. In addition, studies have been carried out with DNA polymerase enzymes to investigate the importance of Watson - Crick hydrogen bonding in enzymatic DNA replication. Surprisingly, this hydrogen bonding is not necessary for efficient enzymatic synthesis of a base pair, and significant levels of selectivity can arise from steric effects alone. These results may have significant impact both on the study of basic biomolecular interactions and in the design of new, functionally active biomolecules. 相似文献

Hybrid organic-inorganic nanocomposites containing uniform distributions of metal nanoparticles have been prepared by mixing a preformed nanoparticle colloid with the precursors of a ureasil, prior to the sol-gel transition. These nanocomposites possess not only high optical quality and optical features dictated by the size and shape of the nanoparticle dopants but also a high degree of flexibility, which can largely enhance the range of applications in practical devices. The deposition of a uniform silica shell on the nanoparticle surface prior to the sol-gel transition was found to be required to maintain the colloidal stability during the process and, thus, to retain the optical properties in the final nanocomposite material. The sulfonation of polyaniline (PANI) films by nucleophilic addition of sulfite ion has been controlled through the polymer oxidation state under electrochemical control. The process was monitored by in situ electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM), and the polymer oxidation was accomplished by electrode potential steps in sulfite aqueous solutions. The nucleophilic addition of sulfite to PANI only takes place on the oxidized polymer. From the ratio of added mass to the injected charge, the degree of sulfonation has been obtained with a yield as high as 50%. It has been observed that the ion-exchange mechanism during the oxidation-reduction process in the resulting sulfonated polymer is analogous to the polymer produced by electrophilic sulfonation of polyaniline or by copolymerization of aniline with aminosulfonic acids, unlike the ionic exchange observed for unmodified PANI. 相似文献
