Carbon capsules with hollow cores and mesoporous shells (HCMS) containing entrapped Au particles were prepared by template replication from solid core/mesoporous shell silica spheres with encapsulated Au particles. The resulting HCMS carbon capsules were then nanocast one step further to generate Au-trapping hollow core silica capsules with nanostructured shells.  相似文献

The thermal decomposition of Zn[NFA]25H2O (NFA=C16H18FN3O3, norfloxacin) and its kinetics were studied under non-isothermal conditions in air by TG-DTG and DTA methods. The intermediate and residue for each decomposition were identified from the TG curve. The non-isothermal kinetic data were analyzed by means of the Achar method and the Madhusudanan-Krishnan-Ninan (MKN) method. The possible reaction mechanisms were investigated by comparing the kinetic parameters. The kinetic equation for the second stage can be expressed as d/dt=Aexp(–E/RT)(1–).This revised version was published online in November 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Abstract— We correlate annual ultraviolet dose estimates with age specific and age adjusted incidence data for non-melanoma skin cancer in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. We first examine (1) a reciprocity or photographic model in which incidence rates (R) are related to exposure (E) which is the product of age (T) and annual dose (D). We also test several models which violate reciprocity including models identified by the labels: (2) Dose potency; (3) Double cause; (4) Age-exposure and (5) separable. Our analyses together with the recent National Cancer Institute study favors the age-exposure model and/or the double cause models. All models lead to biological amplification factors (defined as the ratio of the percent increase in skin cancer incidence due to a 1% increase in dose) greater than unity. For the U.S. we find the biological amplification to be approximately 1.8 for the population center but greater in regions of higher UV annual dose, and less in regions of lower annual UV dose.  相似文献

A new hydrogen peroxide biosensor was constructed, which consisted of a platinum electrode modified by a matrix of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) and nanometer-sized Ag colloid containing immobilized horseradish peroxidase (HRP), and using Co(bpy)33+ as mediator in the hydrogen peroxide solution. The electrochemical characteristics of the biosensor were studied by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry. The modified process was characterized by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The HRP immobilized on colloidal Ag was stable and retained its biological activity. The sensor displays excellent electrocatalytic response to the reduction of H2O2. Analytical parameters such as pH and temperature were also studied. Linear calibration for H2O2 was obtained in the range of 1×10–5 to 1×10–2 M under optimized conditions. The sensor was highly sensitive to H2O2, with a detection limit of 2×10–6 M, and the sensor achieved 95% of steady-state current within 10 s. The sensor exhibited high sensitivity, selectivity and stability.  相似文献

Various repertoires of membrane protein interactions determine cellular responses to diverse environments around cells dynamically in space and time. Current assays, however, have limitations in unraveling these interactions in the physiological states in a living cell due to the lack of capability to probe the transient nature of these interactions on the crowded membrane. Here, we present a simple and robust assay that enables the investigation of transient protein interactions in living cells by using the single-molecule diffusional mobility shift assay (smDIMSA). Utilizing smDIMSA, we uncovered the interaction profile of EGFR with various membrane proteins and demonstrated the promiscuity of these interactions depending on the cancer cell line. The transient interaction profile obtained by smDIMSA will provide critical information to comprehend the crosstalk among various receptors on the plasma membrane.Subject terms: Fluorescence imaging, Super-resolution microscopy, Single-molecule biophysics  相似文献

The radioactive concentrations of radionuclides were measured in the soil and groundwater below the 12 GeV proton beam-line tunnel at KEK. Various long-lived radionuclides, (7Be, 22Na, 46Sc, 54Mn, 60Co, 134Cs, 152Eu and 154Eu) were observed in the soil samples by -ray spectra measurements, and 3H was also detected by liquid scintillation counting. On the other hand, 3H, 22Na and 54Mn, which were leached from the soil were measured in the groundwater below the EP2 beam line. 3H and 22Na were also found in slight amounts in groundwater collected in a well dug beside the East Counter Hall. From a comparison with the radioactive concentration in soil and groundwater, the order of the leaching percentages were 3H>22Na>54Mn. This tendency was in agreement with an experimental result of the RI laboratory.  相似文献

As a new type of foldamers, oligoindoles containing 4, 6, and 8 indole rings were synthesized, and their folding properties were characterized by a combination of 1H NMR techniques and UV/visible titration experiments. When chloride was added, the NH signals of the oligoindoles were downfield shifted as a result of hydrogen-bond formation, and the aromatic signals were upfield shifted by stacking between two indoles. Moreover, the ROESY experiment provided definitive NOE evidence for the helical stacking in the presence of chloride. Finally, the UV/visible titration experiments demonstrated that the oligoindoles formed 1:1 complexes with chloride, and the association constants greatly increased with increasing the number of the indole NHs. These observations are all consistent with the fact that oligoindoles adopt a helical conformation when complexed with chloride by hydrogen-bonding interactions.  相似文献

The new chelate resins, abbreviated as PNBMZs and PBBMZs based on epoxide polymer, were synthesized by polycondensation of N,N-diglycidyl-4-glycidyloxyaniline or 1,4-bis(2,3-epoxypropyl)benzene with the primary amine group of 1,3-bis(benzimidazol-2yl)propylamine (BBPAH). The ion exchangers contain 2.71-3.23 mmol of the ligand contents per gram of the resin. Batch extraction capacities were determined for the metal chloride salts in buffer solutions in the pH range from -1 to 6.0. The chelate resins were very selective for Cu^2+, Zn^2+, Cd^2+ in the presence of other divalent transition metal ions. The maximum uptake capacities of PNBMZ (synthetic molar ratio = 1:1.5) under non-competitive condition were found to be 0.94 mmol/g for Cu^2+ at pH = 2, 1.3 mmol/g for Cd^2+ at pH = 1 and 1.75 mmol/g for Zn^2+ at pH = -1 respectively. While in the case of PBBMZ, it was 1.39 mmol/g for Cd〉 at pH = 1. The metal-uptake behaviors for both of them showed strong pH dependence, and their extraction capacities increase with decreasing pH. The uptake of Cu^2+ by the resin PNBMZs at pH = 1 was found to be rather fast with t1/2 = 18 min. Metal-uptake experiments under competitive conditions also confirm that the chelate resins have a high selectivity for Cu^2+, Zn^2+, Cd^2+ and the contrary pH dependence.  相似文献

Summary The forms of vibrations and displacements of particles in amorphous structures have been investigated. The particles, moving on highly non-linear amplitude, are responsible for the creation of disordered structures of amorphous bodies. The non-linear oscillators, even if 'few' in concentration, are characterized by unpredictable trajectories in phase space. The non-linear oscillators are fully developed in the liquid state above the crossover temperature Tcr and between Tcr and Tg their number decreases. Under Tg they completely disappear. The interconnection between the linear oscillators in blocks plays the most important role in the characteristic time spectra in liquid state. Using the additive properties of elements polarizibilities, the number of acoustical units in individual blocks at Tcr is estimated to be about 600 units. The diameter of blocks at Tcr was estimated to be about 1.8 nm. Even if the non-linear high amplitude motions disappear at solidification, the remnants of structural irregularity remain and the disordered structure of glass is formed.  相似文献
