One-neutron removal cross-sections ( ) of 17, 19C in various targets at about 900 MeV/nucleon, and one-proton removal cross-sections ( ) of 8, 10B at about 1400 MeV/nucleon were measured using the fragment separator FRS at GSI. A significant increase of for 19C compared to its neighbors was observed. The same behavior was found for for the neutron-deficient nucleus 8B compared to the stable isotope 10B. These results support a one-neutron halo structure in 19C and a one-proton halo in 8B. Received: 26 July 2000 / Accepted: 11 January 2001  相似文献

Now we can use several temperature control modes, i.e., the isothermal run including stepwise heating and cooling, constant rate heating (or cooling), temperature control for sample thermal history, sample controlled thermal analysis (SCTA or controlled-rate thermal analysis, CRTA), temperature jump, rate jump, temperature modulation and repeated temperature scanning. Their advantages and drawbacks are reviewed with some illustrative examples, especially for application to kinetic analysis. The combined use of these varieties of temperature control mode is recommended by showing examples. Temperature modulation and repeated temperature scanning are discussed in comparison with temperature modulated DSC, and common and analogous points are elucidated. In relation to this, the possibility that an imaginary part of overall reaction rate constant in complex reaction is postulated. Finally,these modes are classified and tabulated from two viewpoints and other possible modes are shown. Self-assembling peptides that are capable of adopting β-sheet structures can generate nanofibers that lead to hydrogel formation. Herein, to tune the supramolecular morphologies, mechanical properties, and stimuli responses of the hydrogels, we investigated glycine substitution in a β-sheet-forming amphiphilic peptide. Glycine substitution generally enhances conformational flexibility. Indeed, glycine substitution in an amphiphilic peptide weakened the hydrogels or even inhibited the gelation. However, unexpectedly, glycine substitution at the center of the peptide molecule significantly enhanced the hydrogel stiffness. The central glycine substitution affected the molecular packing and led to twisted β-sheet structures and to nanofiber bundling, which likely led to the stiffened hydrogel. Importantly, the supramolecular structures were accurately predicted by molecular dynamics simulations, demonstrating the helpfulness of these techniques for the identification of self-assembling peptides. The hydrogel formed by the amphiphilic peptide with the central glycine substitution had cell adhesive function, and showed a reversible thermal gel-to-sol transition. Thus, glycine substitution is effective in modulating self-assembling structures, rheological properties, and dynamics of biofunctional self-assembling peptides.  相似文献

Realization of molecular quantum cellular automata (QCA), a promising architecture for molecular computing through current-free processes, requires improved understanding and application of mixed-valence (MV) molecules. In this report, we present an electrostatic approach to creating MV subspecies through internalizing opposite charges in close proximity to MV ionic moieties. This approach is demonstrated by unsymmetrically attaching a charge-responsive boron substituent to a well-known organometallic MV complex, biferrocenium. Guest anions (CN and F) bind to the Lewis acidic boron center, leading to unusual blue-shifts of the intervalence charge-transfer (IVCT) bands. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first reported example of a zwitterionic MV series in which the degree of positive charge delocalization can be varied by changing the bound anions, and serves to clarify the interplay between IVCT parameters. The key underlying factor is the variable zero-level energy difference in the MV states. This work provides new insight into imbuing MV molecules with external charge-responsiveness, a prerequisite of molecular QCA techniques.  相似文献

Theoretical values ofs-,p- andd-wave proton strength functions were calculated for the target mass region between 30 to 70 and for the incident proton energy region of 2–4.75 MeV. In 1925 a paper on kinetic analysis of data obtained with thermobalances for isothermal mass loss of some natural products for electrical insulation was published. This is the first theoretical and experimental approach to accelerated test of electrical insulating materials and also to kinetic analysis of thermal analysis data at isoconversional points. In succeeeding papers, change in chemical composition and kinetics under temperature change were dealt with. A historical review of these two topics is described in this review article, especially on the basic concept commonly induced for these two fields.  相似文献
