A potentiometric and spectrophotometric investigation on the formation of zinc(II) complexes with Semi-Xylenol Orange (SXO or H(4)L) is reported. In an aqueous solution (mu = 0.1), three 1:1 complex species, MH(2)L, MHL(-), ML(2-), and a 1:2 complex, ML(6-)(2), seem to exist. In a strongly alkaline medium (above pH 12.5) the complexes may dissociate to give zinc hydroxide and L(4-). The formation of a hydroxy complex is not observed. The absorption maxima are at 445 nm (MH(2)L), 466 nm (MHL(-)) and 561 nm (ML(2-)), the molar absorptivities being 2.34 x 10(4), 2.42 x 10(4) and 3.14 x 10(4) 1.mole(-1) .cm(-1) respectively. The formation constants are (at 25 +/- 0.1 degrees ) log K(M)(ML) = 11.84, log K(M)(MHL) = 7.13, log K(M)(MH(2)L) = 2.70, log K(M)(ML(2)) = 16.60.  相似文献

The methanolic extract from the flowers of Chrysanthemum indicum L., Chrysanthemi Indici Flos, was found to show inhibitory activity against rat lens aldose reductase. By bioassay-guided separation, the active components, such as flavone and flavone glycosides, were isolated from the extract together with three new eudesmane-type sesquiterpenes, kikkanols A, B, and C. The structures of kikkanols A, B, and C were elucidated on the basis of chemical and physicochemical evidence, which included application of the modified Mosher's method.  相似文献

The title intermediate (3a) is produced on photolysis of hexakis(2,6-diethyl-phenyl)cyclotrigermane (1) or bis(2,6-diethylphenyl)bis(trimethylsilyl)germane (4) as evidenced by trapping experiments, and thermally dimerizes to tetrakis(2,6-diethyl-phenyl)digermene (2a). The extraction behaviour of copper(II) and silver(I) with 2-(3,6,10,13-tetrathiacyclotetradec-1-oxy)hexanoic acid (TTCTOHA) was investigated at 25+/-0.1 degrees C and ionic strength of 0.1. The value of the logarithmic distribution coefficient, logK(DR) of TTCTOHA between octan-1-ol and aqueous phases was determined to be 4.13. Copper(II) was extracted with TTCTOHA into octan-1-ol as CuL(2), where L represents the anionic species of TTCTOHA. The logarithmic extraction constant, logK(ex(10)), was determined at -7.42. Silver(I) was extracted with TTCTOHA into octan-1-ol as AgL and Ag(2)L(2). The logarithmic distribution constant, logK(DC), of AgL was estimated to be 0.49. On the other hand, silver(I) was extracted into 1,2-dichloroethane as AgL and the logarithmic extraction constant, logK(ex(10)), was determined to be -2.24.  相似文献

Crystalline poly(arylene ether nitrile) could be prepared by the polycondensation of 2,6-dihalobenzonitrile with resorcinol at 200°C in N-methylpyrrolidone in the presence of sodium carbonate. A reaction temperature of at least 200°C was necessary to attain high molecular weight polymer. Spectral data indicated that the polymer had the structure of a poly(meta-phenylene ether) with pendent nitrile groups on every other phenylene unit. Despite this structure, the crystallinity and the crystallization rate of the polymer were greater than those of the corresponding polymer with a para-linked structure. The glass transition temperature and the melting temperature of the polymer were almost the same as those of poly(etheretherketone) (PEEKTM). A series of other new poly(arylene ether nitriles) were also examined. The polymers derived from 4,4′-biphenol, dihydroxytetra-phenylmethane, dihydroxydiphenylsulfone, and 1,5-isoquinolinediol had high glass transition temperatures. The poly(arylene ether nitriles) exhibited excellent tensile strength compared with the corresponding ketone- or sulfone-containing polymers. Comparing the three different kinds of polymers containing the same bisphenol units, the order of glass transition temperature was found to be sulfone- > nitrile- > ketone-containing polymers, while the order of tensile strength was nitrile- > ketone- > sulfone-containing polymers. The excellent mechanical properties are attributable to dipole-dipole interactions of nitrile groups. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Research on phase relationships and structure studies by electron diffraction confirm VnO2n?1 (n = 3–9) phases between V2O3 and VO2. Metal-insulator phase transitions have been found in all phases but V3O5 and V7O13. Electrical, magnetic and thermodynamic properties associated with the transitions are reported for sintered samples or for single crystals prepared by a vapor-transport method. The host compounds 1,1’-binaphthyl-2,2′-dihydroxy-5,5′-dicarboxylic acid (1) and 1,1′-binaphthyl-2,2′-dihydroxy-6,6′-dicarboxylic acid (2) have been synthesized, and their inclusion properties have been studied. Inclusion complexes formed by 1 and 2 with volatile guests such as acetone and methanol release the guests only at much higher temperatures than their boiling points. The crystal structures of the inclusion complexes have been determined from single crystal X-ray diffraction data and show different host lattices.  相似文献

Fischer indolization of ethyl pyruvate 2-methoxyphenylhydrazone (1) with p-toluene-sulfonic acid in benzene in the presence of an enolizable dicarbonyl or an indolic compound gave either an indole product having an active methine group at C6 or a novel type of 3,6′-biindole compound.
