γ5-Invarianz und starke Wechselwirkungen

In a previous letter⁶ a generalizedγ ₅-invariance for strong interactions has been proposed and some consequences of this invariance have been outlined. The present paper contains the detailed proof and discussion of these consequences. For the baryon-pion interactions one obtains two possible forms for the coupling:

1. a)
   The coupling is determined by the total I-spin vector current and contains no directΛ∑π-coupling. This interaction turns out to be strictly parity conserving even in the presence of electromagnetic and I-spin invariantK-meson couplings.

Theory of proton-transfer reactions. Anomalous Brønsted coefficients of the reaction between 9-alkylfluorene and (9-alkylfluorenyl) lithium

The Brønsted plots of the proton-transfer reactions between 9-alkylfluorene and (9-alkylfluorenyl)lithium are analyzed in terms of the quantum-statistical mechanical rate theory. The anomalous values of the Brønsted coefficients can be explained by taking into account the variation in both steric hindrance and the free energy of the reaction within one reaction series.

A new derivation and interpretation of Yule's ‘Characteristic’K

Zusammenfassung Die Reynoldsche Gleichung der hydrodynamischen Schmierungstheorie, unter ungefährer Berücksichtigung der Trägheit des Schmiermittels, wird für ein schiefes Gleitschuhlager im stationären Zustand angewendet, um den Einfluss der Trägheit des Schmiermittels auf die Belastungskapazität zu ermitteln. Man findet einen einfachen Zusammenhang sowohl zwischen der Trägheitswirkung und den physikalischen Eigenschaften des Schmiermittels wie den Bedingungen, welche das Arbeiten des Gleitschuhlagers spezifizieren. Man stellt fest, dass der Einfluss der Trägheit die Lastkapazität um einen Betrag erhöht, der wichtig sein kann in der laminaren Region.
