New coordination number models for square-well (SW) fluids are incorporated with the generalized van der Waals partition function to develop equations of state for both pure and mixture SW fluids. The equations of state have been extensively tested with the Monte Carlo simulation data, of which three sets (18 data points) for the pure SW fluids are produced in this work. The results show that, without any parameters, our model reasonably describes not only the PVT behaviors but also the second and third virial coefficients of the model fluids. In addition, a comprehensive comparison has been made between our models and the other equations of state derived from the Lee-Chao and Lee-Sandler coordination number correlations. 相似文献

The mechanisms by which solvents, antibodies, and albumins influence the rates of base-catalyzed reactions of benzisoxazoles have been explored theoretically. New experimental data on substituent effects and rates of reactions in several solvents, in an antibody, and in an albumin are reported. Quantum mechanical calculations were carried out for the reactions in water and acetonitrile, and docking of the transition state into a homology model of antibody 34E4 and an X-ray structure of human serum albumin was accomplished. A microenvironment made up of catalytic polar groups (glutamate in antibody 34E4 and lysine in human serum albumin) surrounded by relatively nonpolar groups is present in both catalytic proteins. 相似文献

Polycondensation of a cresol mixture (C(m)) with formaldehyde (F) in basic aqueous solutions leads to formation of highly cross-linked C(m)F aquagels that can be supercritically dried with carbon dioxide to form organic C(m)F aerogels. Aerogels synthesized with different catalyst contents and reactant concentrations are characterized by low-temperature nitrogen adsorption. The present experimental results suggest that the C(m)F aerogels are typical mesoporous materials and have almost no micropores in bulk. The microstructure of the organic C(m)F aerogels can be controlled and tailored effectively by varying synthesis conditions during the initial sol-gel process. C(m)F organic aerogels with specific surface area as high as 627 m(2)/g and corresponding pore volume 2.06 ml/g have been obtained with a dominant pore size of 30 nm. C(m)F organic aerogels with peaky pore size distributions concentrated at 11 nm have also been prepared. 相似文献

Synthesis, single-crystal structure determination, and magnetic properties are reported for manganese carbodiimide, MnNCN. The presumably unstable but inert phase adopts the trigonal system (R3m) with a = 3.3583(4) A, c = 14.347(2) A, V = 140.13(3) A3, and Z = 3. Divalent manganese is octahedrally coordinated by nitrogen atoms at 2.26 A, and the NCN(2-) unit adopts the linear [N=C=N](2-) carbodiimide shape with two C=N double bonds of 1.23 A. MnNCN contains high-spin Mn(II) with five unpaired electrons and behaves like an antiferromagnet with an ordering temperature below 30 K. 相似文献

通过灭菌土接种Rhizoctonia solani以及混合接菌Rhizoctonia solani和Fusarium solani进行盆栽试验,分别研究了镧浸种处理对高羊茅及板蓝根出苗、生长发育的影响。结果表明,镧浸种能明显地减少病原菌的侵染,对由其所造成的种腐、芽腐及根腐等有显著的防治效果,提高了板蓝根和高羊茅种子的出苗率。同时,镧浸种在适当的浓度范围内,还能显著地促进植物的生长发育,生物量明显增加。利用盆栽水稻试验研究了稀土镧对水稻纹枯菌(Rhizoctonia solani)的毒力,测定结果表明,镧喷施于水稻植株上对水稻纹枯病有明显的防治效果,且在活体条件下,喷施镧后1和7 d对水稻纹枯菌(Rhizoctonia solani)的有效中浓度分别为128.7和128.1 mg.L-1,均明显低于离体条件下的有效中浓度(171.9 mg.L-1)。 相似文献

This paper compares the kinetics of exchanges of phenylethanethiolate ligands (PhC2S-) of the monolayer-protected clusters (MPCs) Au(38)(SC2Ph)(24) and Au(140)(SC2Ph)(53) with p-substituted arylthiols (p-X-PhSH), where X = NO(2), Br, CH(3), OCH(3), and OH. First-order rate constants at 293 K for exchange of the first ca. 25% of the ligands on the molecule-like Au(38)(SC2Ph)(24) MPC, measured using (1)H NMR, vary linearly with the in-coming arythiol concentration; ligand exchange is an overall second-order reaction. Remarkably, the second-order rate constants for ligand exchange on Au(38)(SC2Ph)(24) are very close to those of corresponding exchange reactions on the larger nanoparticle Au(140)(SC2Ph)(53) MPCs. These are the first results that quantitatively show that the chemical reactivity of different sized nanocrystals is almost independent of size; presumably, this is because the locus of the initial ligand exchanges is a common kind of site, thought to be the nanocrystal vertexes. The rates of later stages of exchange (beyond ca. 25%) differ for Au(38) and Au(140) cores, the latter being much slower presumably due to its larger terrace-like surface atom content. The reverse exchange reaction was studied for Au(38)(p-X-arylthiolate)(24) MPCs (X = NO(2), Br, and CH(3)), where the in-coming ligand is now phenylethanethiol. Remarkably, the rate constants of both forward and reverse exchanges display identical substituent effects, which implies a concurrent bonding of both in-coming and leaving ligands to the Au core in the rate-determining step, as in an associative mechanism. X = NO(2) gives the fastest rates, and the ratio of forward and reverse rate constants gives an equilibrium constant of K(EQ,PE) = 4.0 that is independent of X. 相似文献

Recently available ultrahigh magnetic fields offer new opportunities for studies of quadrupole nuclei in biological solids because of the dramatic enhancement in sensitivity and resolution associated with the reduction of second-order quadrupole interactions. Here, we present a new approach for understanding the function and energetics of ion solvation in channels using solid-state 17O NMR spectroscopy of single-site 17O-labeled gramicidin A. The chemical shift and quadrupole coupling parameters obtained in powder samples of lyophilized material are similar to those shown in the literature for carbonyl oxygens. In lipid bilayers, it is found that the carbonyl 17O anisotropic chemical shift of Leu10, one of the three carbonyl oxygens contributing to the ion binding site in gramicidin A, is altered by 40 ppm when K+ ion binds to the channel, demonstrating a high sensitivity to such interactions. Moreover, considering the large breadth of the carbonyl 17O chemical shift (>500 ppm), the recording of anisotropic 17O chemical shifts in bilayers aligned with respect to magnetic field B0 offers high-quality structural restraints similar to 15N and 13C anisotropic chemical shifts. 相似文献
