We report, through 17O NMR, an unambiguous local determination of the intrinsic kagome lattice spin susceptibility as well as that created around nonmagnetic defects arising from natural Zn/Cu exchange in the S=1/2 (Cu2+) herbertsmithite ZnCu3(OH)6Cl2 compound. The issue of a singlet-triplet gap is addressed. The magnetic response around a defect is found to markedly differ from that observed in nonfrustrated antiferromagnets. Finally, we discuss our relaxation measurements in the light of Cu and Cl NMR data and suggest a flat q dependence of the excitations.  相似文献

This paper reports on measurements of the 3He(e,epp) reaction measured at AmPS and the 3He(e,epn) reaction measured at MAMI. The measurements were performed in similar kinematics to allow a comparison to be made between the cross sections of the two reactions. Results are shown for both reactions together with a comparison for the 3He(e,epp) data with continuum Faddeev calculations.  相似文献

An overview of the recently completed, current, and planned experiments with internal targets at the VEPP-3 electron-positron storage ring in Novosibirsk is given. The results of the experiment to separately measure the deuteron form factors in elastic ed scattering in the range of momentum transfer Q 2 = 8?15 fm?2 are provided. The results of measuring the tensor analyzing power components of the tensor-polarized deuteron photodisintegration reaction in the range of γ-quantum energies E γ = 25?600 MeV are presented. The tensor analyzing powers of the coherent photoproduction of a neutral pion on a tensor-polarized deuteron have been measured for the first time. The almost-real photon tagging system being created is discussed. The status of the experiment under way to determine the contribution of two-photon exchange to the elastic ep scattering cross section is described.  相似文献

Environmentally benign and economical production of arylated olefins can be achieved by a new variant of the Heck reaction in which no halogen salts are formed. The trick is the use of aromatic carboxylic anhydrides 1 as arylating agents. With halide-activated palladium chloride as catalyst, which requires no phosphane ligands, the olefins 2 can be prepared according to Equation (a) in good yields.  相似文献

Active Inference (AIF) is a framework that can be used both to describe information processing in naturally intelligent systems, such as the human brain, and to design synthetic intelligent systems (agents). In this paper we show that Expected Free Energy (EFE) minimisation, a core feature of the framework, does not lead to purposeful explorative behaviour in linear Gaussian dynamical systems. We provide a simple proof that, due to the specific construction used for the EFE, the terms responsible for the exploratory (epistemic) drive become constant in the case of linear Gaussian systems. This renders AIF equivalent to KL control. From a theoretical point of view this is an interesting result since it is generally assumed that EFE minimisation will always introduce an exploratory drive in AIF agents. While the full EFE objective does not lead to exploration in linear Gaussian dynamical systems, the principles of its construction can still be used to design objectives that include an epistemic drive. We provide an in-depth analysis of the mechanics behind the epistemic drive of AIF agents and show how to design objectives for linear Gaussian dynamical systems that do include an epistemic drive. Concretely, we show that focusing solely on epistemics and dispensing with goal-directed terms leads to a form of maximum entropy exploration that is heavily dependent on the type of control signals driving the system. Additive controls do not permit such exploration. From a practical point of view this is an important result since linear Gaussian dynamical systems with additive controls are an extensively used model class, encompassing for instance Linear Quadratic Gaussian controllers. On the other hand, linear Gaussian dynamical systems driven by multiplicative controls such as switching transition matrices do permit an exploratory drive.  相似文献
