Here we present the first direct measurement of the viscous drag force between two spherical particles of millimeter size trapped in a thin wetting film. Each particle is constrained by the liquid/air interface and the solid substrate. The viscous force is counterbalanced by another known force, the attractive capillary immersion force between identical particles protruding from the film surface. The results of the measurements provide evidence for an increased hydrodynamic force due to a non-Stokesian resistance to the particle motion. Our findings can be applied to the self-assembly of colloidal particles in a two-dimensional array for coating and to the friction between small species and a solid. We investigate the laws governing the saturation of nano- and coarse-crystalline Ti-6Al-4V alloy samples with hydrogen from high-frequency and glow discharge plasmas with a view to finding materials suitable for making hydrogen accumulators. We conclude that nanocrystalline Ti-6Al-4V alloy holds promise for creating hydrogen accumulators, and hydrogen plasma of high-frequency discharge origin is a cleaner hydrogen saturation medium than that of non-self-sustained discharge origin.  相似文献

Mechanical composites were prepared by mechanical chemical processing of a mixture of biologically active preparations of arabinogalactan (AG) and dihydroquercetin (DQ) isolated from larch wood. Their properties were studied using HPLC, 13C NMR, and IR spectroscopy. It was found that AG and DQ did not react chemically under the studied conditions. According to x-ray phase and thermal analyses, mechanical processing destroyed the DQ crystalline structure and dispersed it into the AG matrix. The resulting mechanical composites had significantly higher (up to 38 times) solubility in water compared with starting DQ and an unprocessed AG/DQ mixture. It was shown that DQ reduces the extent of destruction of polysaccharide macromolecules during mechanical processing.  相似文献

Nimesulide (NIM, N-(4-nitro-2-phenoxyphenyl)methanesulfonamide) is a relatively new nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic drug. It is practically insoluble in water (<0.02 mg/mL). This very poor aqueous solubility of the drug may lead to low bioavailability. The objective of the present study was to investigate the possibility of improving the solubility and the bioavailability of NIM via complexation with polysaccharide arabinogalactan (AG), disodium salt of glycyrrhizic acid (Na2GA), hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) and MgCO3. Solid dispersions (SD) have been prepared using a mechanochemical technique. The physical properties of nimesulide SD in solid state were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction studies. The characteristics of the water solutions which form from the obtained solid dispersions were analyzed by reverse phase and gel permeation HPLC. It was shown that solubility increases for all complexes under investigation. These phenomena are obliged by complexation with auxiliary substances, which was shown by 1H-NMR relaxation methods. The parallel artificial membrane permeability assay (PAMPA) was used for predicting passive intestinal absorption. Results showed that mechanochemically obtained complexes with polysaccharide AG, Na2GA, and HP-β-CD enhanced permeation of NIM across an artificial membrane compared to that of the pure NIM. The complexes were examined for anti-inflammatory activity on a model of histamine edema. The substances were administered per os to CD-1 mice. As a result, it was found that all investigated complexes dose-dependently reduce the degree of inflammation. The best results were obtained for the complexes of NIM with Na2GA and HP-β-CD. In noted case the inflammation can be diminished up to 2-fold at equal doses of NIM.  相似文献

We have performed extensive small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) diffraction studies of the vortex lattice in single crystal YNi2B2C for B‖c. High-resolution SANS, combined with a field-oscillation vortex lattice preparation technique, allows us to separate Bragg scattered intensities from two orthogonal domains and accurately determine the unit cell angle, β. The data suggest that upon increasing field there is a finite transition width where both low- and high-field distorted hexagonal vortex lattice phases, mutually rotated by 45°, coexist. The smooth variation of diffracted intensity from each phase through the transition corresponds to a redistribution of populations between the two types of domains.  相似文献

A possibility of mechanochemical preparation of water-soluble complexes of a plant polysaccharide arabinogalactan and poorly soluble medicinal agents (Sibazon(=Diazepam), Mezapam(=Medazepam), Indometacin, and Azaleptin(=Clozapine)) has been investigated. The results of the analysis of the first experimental data on the energy release of inclined muon groups of cosmic rays in the water Cherenkov detector, obtained at the NEVOD-DECOR complex, are presented. It was found that the average specific energy release in the Cherenkov calorimeter (normalized to the muon densitymeasured by the data of the coordinate detector)weakly depends on the muon density; however, the significant dependence on the zenith angle is observed, which indicates an increase in the average muon energy in groups with an increase in the zenith angle.  相似文献
