Three-dimensional magneto-optic trap for micro-object manipulation

A magneto-optic trap for micro-objects is described. Magnetic beads were trapped by optical tweezers while being rotated by a new integrated magnetic manipulator. Rotation was achieved with eight electromagnets with tip-pole geometry. The time orbital potential technique was used to achieve rotation of magnetic beads. Trapping in three dimensions and rotation of magnetic beads on three axes are demonstrated with forces up to 230 pN and force momenta of up to 10(-16)N m . A position-detection apparatus based on an interferometric scheme provides nanometer sensitivities in a few milliseconds.     

From second to first order transitions in a disordered quantum magnet

The cross sections and transverse spin asymmetries in the hard exclusive electroproduction of decuplet baryons are calculated in the large N(c) limit and found to be comparable to that of octet baryons. Large N(c) selection rules for the production amplitudes are derived, leading to new sensitive tests of the spin aspects of the QCD chiral dynamics both in the nonstrange and strange sectors. Importance of such studies for the reliable extraction of the pion form factor from pion electroproduction is explained.

Effects of rapid quenching on the structural and magnetic properties of the Heusler alloy Cu2MnSn

The Heusler alloy Cu₂MnSn has been prepared by two methods; (1) the conventional method of annealing for an extended period of time just below the melting temperature, followed by quenching into ice water, and (2) rapid quenching from the melt onto the surface of a rotating Cu disc. X-ray diffraction and ¹¹⁹Sn Mössbauer effect measurements show that the annealed sample contains a significant quantity of a non-magnetic impurity phase while the rapidly quenched sample is essentially free from non-Heusler phases.     

Mössbauer study of Er3+ in ErH3 and YH3

The Mössbauer spectra of ¹⁶⁶Er in ErH₃ and YH₃ have been measured. Using and axial Hamiltonian, the electronic gyromagnetic rations for the ground state of Er³⁺ in YH₃ have been deduced: g| = 11.6 ± 0.1 and g⊥ = 4.4 ± 0.1. The analysis yields crystal field parameters which provide the correct λ₇ ground state with these g-values.

本文报道甲氧羰基亚甲基三苯基胂(Ⅰ)与氟代烯烃反应生成加成物,Ⅰ与4,4-二氯六氟丁烯-[1]反应,生成甲氧羰基-[4,4-二氯五氟丁烯-1]-基亚甲基三苯基胂(Ⅲ)和甲氧羰基4,4-二氯2,3,3,4-四氟丁酰基亚甲基三苯基肿(Ⅳ),Ⅲ通过氧化铝柱或经湿苯回流都转化为Ⅳ,Ⅰ与四氟乙烯和六氟丙烯都能发生反应,粗产物通过氧化铝柱后,分离得到相应的羰基化合物Ⅶ和Ⅷ,所有产物的结构都经元素分析、红外光谱、核磁共振谱和质谱分析证明。     

论Ore图的泛连通性

符合Ore条件的简单图称为Ore图,Ore条件指图的两个不相邻的顶点的度数之和不小于图的顶点数。本文搞清了Ore图的泛连通性,同时得到了Ore图的点(边)泛圈性的结果,推广了Bondy的一个结论。
