Localization and transmission coefficient for two coupled metal chains with disorder

The equation for distribution of probabilities for the transmission coefficient T has been obtained for an electron passing through the finite section of the length L, consisting of two coupled disordered chains. The behavior of the mean 〈lnT〉 = - L/l_loc suggests localization of the electron on the length l, which depends on the coupling energy t between the chains. The ratio l_loc(t =)/l_loc(t?v_F/l) is found to be equal to 1 ? 1/π.     

Bound states in gauge theories as the Poincaré group representations

The bound-state generating functional is constructed in gauge theories. This construction is based on the Dirac Hamiltonian approach to gauge theories, the Poincaré group classification of fields and their nonlocal bound states, and the Markov-Yukawa constraint of irreducibility. The generating functional contains additional anomalous creations of pseudoscalar bound states: para-positronium in QED and mesons inQCDin the two-gamma processes of the type of γ + γ → π ₀ +para-positronium. The functional allows us to establish physically clear and transparent relations between the perturbativeQCD to its nonperturbative low-energy model by means of normal ordering and the quark and gluon condensates. In the limit of small current quark masses, the Gell-Mann-Oakes-Renner relation is derived from the Schwinger-Dyson and Bethe-Salpeter equations. The constituent quark masses can be calculated from a self-consistent nonlinear equation.     

A new approach to the synthesis of 3-amino- and 3-benzoylamino-5-aminoalkyl-1,2,4-triazoles

Nickel(II) acetylacetonate for the first time was shown to efficiently catalyze the addition of Boc-protected amino acid hydrazides to the nitrile group of benzoylcyanamide with the formation of the corresponding 3-benzoylamino-substituted 1,2,4-triazoles with the Boc-aminoalkyl group at position 5. A further modification of the latter led, depending on the conditions, to mono- or dihydrochlorides of 1,2,4-triazole-derived amines.     

Study of the products of platinum-catalyzed hydrogenation of chlorinated nitro and amino aromatic compounds at high degree of dehalogenation

The kinetics of formation and consumption of the dehalogenation products during hydrogenation of 3,4-dichloronitrobenzene under static and gradient-free flow conditions and hydrogenation of p-chloroaniline under static conditions were studied in the presence of platinum supported on active carbon. In the former case, p-chloroaniline and aniline are the primary dehalogenation products; in the presence of the catalyst, they can react with each other giving biphenyl derivatives, whose synthesis and accumulation in the reaction mixture occur with a considerable delay and have not been investigated before.
