Assignment of the resonance lines in the PMR spectra of N-vinyl- and N-ethylimidazole

The PMR spectra of N-vinyl- and N-ethylimidazole were interpreted on the basis of an estimate of the broadenings and shifts of the resonance lines caused by the effect of an uncompensated electron spin of a paramagnetic complex. Removal of spin-spin coupling in NMR spectrum of N-vinylpyrazole by paramagnetic additives

Reactions of N-vinyl indole with hydrogen halides

N-vinyl indole was brought into reaction with hydrogen chloride, hydrogen bromide, and hydrogen iodide. It was shown that, by reacting with the pyrrole rings of polyvinyl indole, hydrogen halides form complex compounds, with simultaneous charge transfers.     

Use of Eu(DPM)3 to study the long-range spin-spin coupling of1H-1H and1H-14N via the PMR spectra

Conclusions Employing heteronuclear double resonance and paramagnetic additives it was established that the additional broadening of the signals in the PMR spectrum of 1-vinylimidazole is caused by the¹H -¹⁴N spin-spin coupling, while in the spectrum of 1-vinylpyrazole it is caused, in addition, by the long-range¹H-¹H spin -spin coupling via six bonds.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 1, pp. 200–201, January, 1977.
