A capillary electrophoresis method is proposed to analyze the four most well-known growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH) analogs that are misused by athletes. Dimethyl-β-cyclodextrin used as a chiral selector allowed, for the first time, the separation of those basic peptide analogs, including enantiopeptides (sermorelin and CJC-1293) that differ by the chirality of only one amino acid. To increase the method sensitivity, electrokinetic preconcentration methods have been investigated. The large volume sample stacking with polarity switching (PS-LVSS) method with an injected sample volume corresponding to 80% of the capillary one was found superior to the sweeping in terms of signal enhancement factor (SEF). Acid and organic solvent addition to the sample (0.1 mM phosphoric acid with 30% methanol) led to a twofold signal improvement, when compared to water as a matrix. We increased capillary dimensions to provide a signal enhancement through the injection of a larger sample volume. Finally, using a combination of the optimized PS-LVSS preconcentration with the chiral capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE), the GHRH analogs were separated and limits of detection between 75 and 200 ng/mL were reached. This method was successfully applied to urine after a desalting step. An optimized C18 SPE was used for that purpose in order to provide low sample conductivity (<130 µS/cm) and preserve the efficiency of LVSS preconcentration. SEF of 640 was obtained with desalted urine spiked with sermorelin by comparison to the CZE (without preconcentration) method.  相似文献

The elaboration of nanoparticles designed for technological applications in various fields such as catalysis, optics, magnetism, electronics… needs the strict control of their characteristics, especially chemical composition, crystalline structure, size, and shape. These characteristics bring the physical properties (color, magnetism, band gap…) of the material, and also the surface to volume ratio of particles which is of high importance when they are used as a chemically active or reactive support, in catalysis for instance. The nanoparticles may have also to be surface functionalized by various species, and/or dispersed in aqueous or non aqueous media. We will show that the aqueous chemistry of metal cations is a very versatile and attractive way for the design of oxide nanomaterials, allowing the control of size, shape, and crystalline structure for polymorphic materials. Aqueous surface chemistry, including adsorption of various species, may be used to modify the morphology of nanoparticles. In some cases, redox processes can be involved to control the morphology of nanoparticles. Technologically important nanomaterials such as titania, alumina, and iron oxides are studied.  相似文献

Multiwalled carbon nanotubes have unique properties allowing their use in a wide range of applications—from microelectronics to biomedical and polymer fields. Nevertheless, a crucial aspect for their use resides in the ease of handling them during the process. Here, we report a facile route to prepare multiwalled carbon nanotubes@octavinyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (MWCNT@POSS) nanocomposite. The method involves the formation of a covalent bond between carboxylated MWCNTs and OV-POSS using acid-catalyzed electrophilic addition reaction. The resulting nanocomposite have been characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), powder X-Ray diffraction (PXRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The results confirmed that the formation of MWCNT@POSS nanocomposite did not deteriorate MWCNT structure or morphology. Here, we used a 1:1 ratio of carboxylated MWCNTs and OV-POSS and the POSS content in the nanocomposite was 39.5 wt%.  相似文献

A very simple, safe and powerful method for the in situ generation of formaldehyde at low temperature in anhydrous conditions is described. This new tool avoids the use of gaseous formaldehyde and is suitable for basic carbon nucleophiles which cannot be generated in aqueous reaction media. Various substrates, including organolithium reagents and enolates, underwent smooth hydroxymethylation showing the versatility of this process. A Wittig reaction was also carried out in high yield. The adducts [[(Me(3)Si)(2){Me(2)P(BH(3))}C]K(L)(n)](m) [L = THF, n = 0.5, m = infinity (2a); L = tmeda (2b), pmdeta (2c), n = 1, m = 2] may be synthesised by treatment of solvent-free [[(Me(3)Si)(2){Me(2)P(BH(3))}C]K](infinity) (2) with the corresponding Lewis base (tmeda = N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine; pmdeta = N,N,N',N',N'-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine). X-Ray crystallography reveals that, whereas 2 crystallises with a complex 2-dimensional sheet structure, 2a crystallises as a ribbon-type one-dimensional polymer and both 2b and 2c crystallise as dimers. The corresponding complex with 12-crown-4, [K(12-crown-4)(2)][(Me(3)Si)(2){Me(2)P(BH(3))}C] (2d) crystallises as a separated ion pair. The complexes [[(Me(3)Si)(2){Me(2)P(BH(3))}C]M(pmdeta)](n) [M = Na, n = 1 (6); M = Rb, n = 2 (7)] may be synthesised by treatment of [(Me(3)Si)(2){Me(2)P(BH(3))}C]M with pmdeta. Whereas crystallises as a discrete monomer, compound 7 crystallises as a dimer. Compounds 2, 2a-2d, 6, 7 and the corresponding caesium derivative [[(Me(3)Si)(2){Me(2)P(BH(3))}C]Cs(pmdeta)](2) () provide an opportunity to consider the influence of the ionic radius of the metal and the nature of the co-ligands on the structures of alkali metal complexes of a phosphine-borane-stabilised carbanion.  相似文献

In continuation of recent work on the dielectric response of imidazolium-based ionic liquids (ILs) (J. Phys. Chem. B, 2006, 110, 12682), we report on the effect of cation variation on the frequency-dependent dielectric permittivity up to 20 GHz of ionic liquids. The salts are comprised of pyrrolidinium, pyridinium, tetraalkylammonium, and triethylsulfonium cations combined with the bis-((trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl)imide anion. The dielectric spectra resemble those observed for imidazolium salts with the same anion. In all cases, the major contribution results from a diffusive low-frequency response on the time scale of several 100 ps, which shows a broadly distributed kinetics similar to that of spatially heterogeneous states in supercooled and glassy systems rather than that observed in fluid systems. There is evidence for a weak secondary process near 10-20 ps. Perhaps the most interesting difference to imidazolium salts is founded in the missing portions of the spectra due to processes beyond the upper cutoff frequency of 20 GHz. These are lower than that observed for imidazolium-based salts and seem to vanish for tetraalkylammonium and triethylsulfonium salts. As for imidazolium salts, the extrapolated static dielectric constants are on the order of epsilon(S) congruent with 10-13, classifying these ILs as solvents of moderate polarity.  相似文献

Many strategies have been developed to modulate the biological or biotechnical properties of oligonucleotides by introducing new chemical functionalities or by enhancing their affinity and specificity while restricting their conformational space. Among them, we review our approach consisting of modifications of the 5’-C-position of the nucleoside sugar. This allows the introduction of an additional chemical handle at any position on the nucleotide chain without disturbing the Watson–Crick base-pairing. We show that 5’-C bromo or propargyl convertible nucleotides (CvN) are accessible in pure diastereoisomeric form, either for nucleophilic displacement or for CuAAC conjugation. Alternatively, the 5’-carbon can be connected in a stereo-controlled manner to the phosphate moiety of the nucleotide chain to generate conformationally constrained nucleotides (CNA). These allow the precise control of the sugar/phosphate backbone torsional angles. The consequent modulation of the nucleic acid shape induces outstanding stabilization properties of duplex or hairpin structures in accordance with the preorganization concept. Some biological applications of these distorted oligonucleotides are also described. Effectively, the convertible and the constrained approaches have been merged to create constrained and convertible nucleotides (C2NA) providing unique tools to functionalize and stabilize nucleic acids.  相似文献
