We report the observation of a narrow peak in the K(S)K-pi(+) invariant mass distribution in a sample of exclusive B-->KK(S)K-pi(+) decays collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric e(+)e(-) collider. The measured mass of the peak is M=3654+/-6(stat)+/-8(syst) MeV/c(2), and we place a 90% confidence level upper limit on the width of Gamma<55 MeV/c(2). The properties agree with heavy-quark potential model expectations for the eta(c)(2S) meson, the n=2 singlet S charmonium state. 相似文献

We report the first observation of the decay B(0)-->D(+/-)D(*-/+) with the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-) Collider operated at the Upsilon(4S) resonance. The sum of branching fractions B(B(0)-->D(+)D(*-))+B(B(0)-->D(-)D(*+)) is measured to be (1.17+/-0.26(+0.22)(-0.25))x10(-3) using the full reconstruction method where both charmed mesons from B0 decays are reconstructed. A consistent value [(1.48+/-0.38(+0.28)(-0.31))x10(-3)] is obtained using a partial reconstruction technique that uses only the slow pion from the D(*-)-->D(-0)pi(-) decay and a fully reconstructed D(+) to reconstruct the B(0). 相似文献

We report a measurement of the exclusive e+ e- -->Lambda+_(c)Lambda-_(c) cross section as a function of center-of-mass energy near the Lambda+_(c)Lambda-_(c) threshold. A clear peak with a significance of 8.2sigma is observed in the Lambda+_(c)Lambda-_(c) invariant mass distribution just above threshold. With an assumption of a resonance origin for the observed peak, a mass and width of M=[4634 (+8)_(-7)(stat)(+5)_(-8)(syst)] MeV/c(2) and Gamma_(tot)=[92 (+40)_(-24)(stat)(+10)_(-21)(syst)] MeV are determined. The analysis is based on a study of events with initial-state-radiation photons in a data sample collected with the Belle detector at the Upsilon(4S) resonance and nearby continuum with an integrated luminosity of 695 fb(-1) at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+ e- collider. 相似文献

Possible skip trajectories of a flying vehicle with a periodically actuated ramjet are numerically simulated. An optimal choice
of ramjet actuation areas and duration is demonstrated to ensure the maximum flight range with a given amount of the fuel.
The main advantage of skip trajectories is found to be a significant (by an order of magnitude) decrease in thermal loads

A high-throughput resequencing technology has brought family based studies back into genetic research focus. Within-family outliers (the individuals whose phenotype is very much unlike the phenotype of relatives) may carry rare variants of large effects and thus resequencing of these provides a highly powered strategy for rare variants detection. On the other hand, such outliers may complicate search for common variants of smaller effects, because they may obscure a real linkage signal. We have developed a program Ped_Outlier allowing automatic detection of within-family outliers in a sample of pedigrees of arbitrary structure and size. We tested our program by identification of within-family outliers for adult height and intracranial volume in large pedigree. Results of linkage analysis of these traits demonstrated that identification of within-family outliers is one of the important steps of pedigree analysis. A way of effectively affecting the gasdynamic structures of a transonic flow over a surface by means of instantaneous local
directed energy deposition into a near-surface layer is proposed. Experimental investigations into the influence of a pulsed
high-current nanosecond surface discharge of the “plasma sheet” type on gas fast flow with a shock wave near the surface are
carried out. The self-localization of energy deposition into a low-pressure region in front of the shock wave is described.
Based on this effect, a facility for automated energy deposition into a dynamic region bounded by the moving shock front can
be designed. The limiting value of the specific energy deposition on the surface in front of the shock wave is found. With
the help of the direct-shadow method, an unsteady quasi-two-dimensional discontinuous flow arising when a plasma sheet is
initiated on the wall in a flow with a plane shock wave is studied. By numerically solving the two-dimensional nonstationary
equations of gas dynamics, the influence of the energy of a pulsed nanosecond discharge, which is applied in the frequency
regime, on the aerodynamic characteristics of a high-lift profile is investigated. It is ascertained that the energy delivered
to the gas before the closing shock wave in a local supersonic region that is located in the neighborhood of the profile contour
in zones extended along the profile considerably decreases the wave drag of the profile. 相似文献

A criterial analysis of the effect of forced vibrations of airfoil surface elements on the shock wave structure of a transonic flow around the airfoil is performed. The parameter responsible for regimes of interaction of vibrationally moving zones of the airfoil with the closing shock wave is determined. The possibility of controlling the aerodynamic characteristics of airfoils in transonic flight regimes by means of local pulsed
periodic energy supply is considered. The numerical solution of two-dimensional unsteady equations of gas dynamics allowed
determining the changes in the flow structure near a symmetric airfoil and its aerodynamic characteristics depending on the
magnitude of energy in the case of its asymmetric (with respect to the airfoil) supply. The results obtained are compared
with the calculated data for the flow around the airfoil at different angles of attack without energy supply. With the use
of energy supply, a prescribed lift force can be obtained with a substantially lower wave drag of the airfoil, as compared
with the flow around the airfoil at an angle of attack.

A distinct peak is observed in the pi +/- psi' invariant mass distribution near 4.43 GeV in B-->K pi +/- psi' decays. A fit using a Breit-Wigner resonance shape yields a peak mass and width of M=4433+/-4(stat)+/-2(syst) MeV and Gamma=45-13+18(stat)-13+30(syst) MeV. The product branching fraction is determined to be B(B 0-->K -/+Z+/-(4430)) x B(Z+/-(4430)-->pi+/-psi')=(4.1+/-1.0(stat)+/-1.4(syst)) x 10(-5), where Z+/-(4430) is used to denote the observed structure. The statistical significance of the observed peak is 6.5 sigma. These results are obtained from a 605 fb(-1) data sample that contains 657 x 10(6) BB pairs collected near the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy e+ e- collider. 相似文献

We report on a search for the doubly Cabibbo suppressed decay B+-->D*+pi0, based on a data sample of 657x10(6) BB pairs collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. We find no significant signal and set an upper limit of B(B+-->D*+pi0)<3.6x10(-6) at the 90% confidence level. This limit can be used to constrain the ratio between suppressed and favored B-->D*pi decay amplitudes, r<0.051, at the 90% confidence level. 相似文献
