The Fe(III) complex, [FeIII(HQS)3] (HQS = 8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulfonic acid), is found to effect sensitization of the large band gap semiconductor, TiO2. The role of interfacial electron transfer in sensitization of TiO2 nanoparticles by surface adsorbed [FeIII(HQS)3] was studied using femtosecond time scale transient absorption spectroscopy. Electron injection has been confirmed by direct detection of the electron in the conduction band. A TiO2-based dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) was fabricated using [FeIII(HQS)3] as a sensitizer, and the resulting DSSC exhibited an open-circuit voltage value of 425 mV. The value of the short-circuit photocurrent was found to be 2.5 mA/cm2. The solar to electric power conversion efficiency of the [FeIII(HQS)3] sensitized TiO2-based DSSC device was 0.75 %. The results are discussed in the context of sensitization of TiO2 by other Fe(II)-dye complexes.  相似文献

Abstract

The methanolic extract of Cycas revoluta cone (MECR) was analyzed by GC-MS and UHPLC for metabolite profiling and was evaluated for anti-colon cancer property by using in vitro assays like Cell Viability Assay, Colony Formation Assay, ROS Determination, Flowcytometry, DAPI staining assay, Tunel assay. GC-MS and HPLC analysis confirmed the presence of different phytochemicals in the extract of Cycas revoluta cone. In-vitro studies showed MECR extract showed significant anti-colon cancer activity by reducing proliferation and inducing apoptosis in colon cancer cell (HCT-8) line, but no such activity was seen in normal colon cell (CCD-18Co) line. The investigation confirms that MECR may be a promising candidate in colon cancer protection.  相似文献

The reaction of [RuIII(edta)(SCN)]2? (edta4? = ethylenediaminetetraacetate; SCN? = thiocyanate ion) with the peroxomonosulfate ion (HSO5?) has been studied by using stopped‐flow and rapid scan spectrophotometry as a function of [RuIII(edta)], [HSO5?], and temperature (15–30ºC) at constant pH 6.2 (phosphate buffer). Spectral analyses and kinetic data are suggestive of a pathway in which HSO5? effects the oxidation of the coordinated SCN? by its direct attack at the S‐atom (of SCN?) coordinated to the RuIII(edta). The high negative value of entropy of activation (ΔS = ?90 ± 6 J mol?1 deg?1) is consistent with the values reported for the oxygen atom transfer process involving heterolytic cleavage of the O‐O bond in HSO5?. Formation of SO42?, SO32?, and OCN? was identified as oxidation products in ESI‐MS experiments. A detailed mechanism in agreement with the spectral and kinetic data is presented.  相似文献

Results for the cross section and average angular momentum for complete fusion at energies around the Coulomb barrier are presented for 7Li with 165Ho. Comparison of the cross sections with a one-dimensional barrier penetration model, using a potential consistent with the measured elastic scattering, showed a reduction above the barrier and an enhancement below it. An increase in the measured average angular momentum, , above the barrier and its consistency with that obtained from the fusion excitation function for weakly bound nuclei, is reported. These results together with a reanalysis of existing data conclusively demonstrate that the effect of breakup on fusion is coherent, like coupling to any nonelastic channel.  相似文献

Background  

The mechanism of aluminum-induced neurotoxicity is not clear. The involvement of glutamate in the aluminium-induced neurocomplications has been suggested. Brain glutamate levels also found to be altered in protein malnutrition. Alterations in glutamate levels as well as glutamate-α-decarboxylase in different regions of rat brain has been reported in response to aluminum exposure. Thus the study of glutamate metabolising enzymes in different brain regions of rats maintained on either normal or restricted protein diet may be of importance for understanding the neurotoxicity properties of aluminium.  相似文献

Preparation and properties of the following NiII and CuII complexes of the Schiff base derived from acetophenone and ethylenediamine (BAPE) and also of the mixed NiII and CuII chelates with BAPE and acetylacetone (acac-H) are described: In each case the Schiff base, BAPE, acts as a neutral bidentate ligand. The complexes are characterised by electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibilities, conductivities and elemental analyses. Pseudotetrahedral structure is proposed for M(BAPE)C12, while tetragonal structure for [M(BAPE)(acac)(H2O)2]ClO4 (M = Ni and Cu). The complex [Ni(BAPE) (acac)]ClO4 has been found to be square planar.  相似文献
