Crystal Structure of Praseodymium(III) Complex [Pr(DMSO)8]2PMo10V2O40(NO3) · DMSO (DMSO = Dimethyl Sulfoxide)

Crystal structure of [Pr(DMSO)₈]₂PMo₁₀V₂O₄₀(NO₃) · DMSO (where DMSO is dimethyl sulfoxide) is determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The Pr atom forms coordination polyhedron shaped like a distorted square antiprism with Pr–O distances varying from 2.432(6) to 2.476(6) Å. The oxygen atoms of a heteropolyanion are not involved in the coordination sphere of the Pr atom.     

Crystal and molecular structure of 13-diethanolamino-deacetyllaurenobiolide. Macrocycle conformation in linear germacrolides

An x-ray structure analysis of the 13-diethanolamino derivative of deacetyllaurenobiolide, a germacrane sesquiterpene lactone, was performed. The germacrane macrocycle has the chairchair conformation with the ¹⁵D_5,1D¹⁴ configuration. Choline Esterase Inhibitors and Synthetic Oxalic Acid Receptors Based on Calix[4]arene Derivatives

New reversible butyrylcholine esterase inhibitors based on calix[4]arene derivatives were suggested. A series of new distally disubstituted calix[4]arenes were prepared in 60–80% yields. Some of these compounds showed properties of reversible choline esterase effectors, activating it at low concentrations and inhibiting at high concentrations. The macrocycles prepared were tested in extraction of d,l-tartaric, glycolic, d,l-mandelic, d,l-glutamic, malonic, oxalic, and succinic acids and of sodium acetate. Synthesis and the crystal structure of aqua-dioxo-nitrato-(2,2′,6′,2″-terpyridine)-neptunium(V) [NpO2(NO3)(terpy)(H2O)]

The crystal structure of the [NpO₂(NO₃)(Terpy)(H₂O)] complex between pentavalent neptunium and 2,2′,6′,2″-terpyridine is determined. The crystal data are as follows: a = 11.130(3) Å, b = 7.916(2) Å, c = 18.324(5) Å, β = 100.873(6)°, V = 1585.5(8) ų, Z = 4, space group is P2₁/n, R = 0.044, and wR(F ²) = 0.092. The coordination polyhedron of the Np atom is a pentagonal bipyramid whose equatorial plane includes three nitrogen atoms of the Terpy molecule and two oxygen atoms of the nitrate ion and the water molecule.
