The collisionless interaction of an expanding high–energy plasma cloud with a magnetized background plasma in the presence of a dipole magnetic field is examined in the framework of a 2D3V hybrid (kinetic ions and massless fluid electrons) model. The retardation of the plasma cloud and the dynamics of the perturbed electromagnetic fields and the background plasma are studied for high Alfvén–Mach numbers using the particle–in–cellmethod. It is shown that the plasma cloud expands excluding the ambient magnetic field and the background plasma to form a diamagnetic cavity which is accompanied by the generation of a collisionless shock wave. The energy exchange between the plasma cloud and the background plasma is also studied and qualitative agreement with the analytical model suggested previously is obtained (© 2009 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. Let R be an associative ring with identity. An element x??R is said to be weakly clean if x=u+e or x=u?e for some unit u and idempotent e in R. The ring R is said to be weakly clean if all of its elements are weakly clean. In this paper we obtain an element-wise characterization of abelian weakly clean rings. The important photoluminescence enhancement found in Carbon Dots (CDs) obtained from carbonaceous nanomaterials when passivating with acetone is shown in this paper, in which this type of passivation has not been reported previously. Analytical fluorescent assays were performed with the selected CDs using two different pollutants as target analytes. The results show that the optimal conditions for detecting 2,4-dinitrophenol (DNP) were at pH 3.5 while in case of 2-amino-3,4,8-trimethyl-3H-imidazo[4,5-f]quinoxaline (4,8-DiMeIQx) were found at physiological pH. The fascinating ability of CDs to interact with certain molecules under certain conditions gave rise to explore some useful applications for a quick detection of contaminants by simply monitoring the photoluminescence of CDs as shown in this article.  相似文献

This article examines the use of doped amorphous silica nanoparticles for surface-assisted laser desorption/ionisation-time of flight-mass spectrometry (SALDI-TOF-MS) of hydrophilic and hydrophobic compounds. A range of particles with surface aliphatic carboxylic, aminophenyl, phenyl or aminopropyl groups have been produced and these have been doped with carbon black, polyaniline or graphite. The effects of surface groups and dopants on the laser desorption/ionisation process were studied. The key factor in effective LDI was the presence of carbon black dopant carrying carboxyphenyl or phenyl residues for positive and negative ion formation. The second key factor was the presence of hydrophilic surface functional groups for hydrophilic amino acid analytes for their detection in positive or negative mode as protonated or de-protonated species respectively whereas hydrophobic surfaces were need for ionisation via cationisation for the hydrophobic analyte squalene. The mechanism for LDI of these particles appears to involve initial adsorption of the analyte onto the surface of the particle, formation of primary ions via adsorption of laser UV irradiation by carboxyphenyl residues attached to the carbon black network which act in an equivalent way to the matrix in matrix-assisted LDI. This is followed by reaction of the primary ions with neighbouring adsorbed analyte molecules. The latter are then released possibly via thermal desorption following proton donation or acceptance from/to via surface residues such carboxylate groups associated with the carbon black within the dopant. Alternatively in the absence of such proton donor/acceptor residues as with hydrophobic particles, the primary ions are released from the particles during desorption and form cation adducts as sodiated and potassiated species in the gas phase above the surface.  相似文献

Spinal cord injury (SCI) refers to the damage suffered in the spinal cord by any trauma or pathology. The purpose of this work was to determine whether 99mTc-GA-5, a radiotracer targeting Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP), can reveal in vivo the reactivation of astrocytes in a murine model with SCI. A method for the 99mTc radiolabeling of the mouse anti-GFAP monoclonal antibody GA-5 was implemented. Radiochemical characterization was performed, and radioimmunohistochemistry assays were used to evaluate the integrity of 99mTc-GA-5. MicroSPECT/CT was used for in vivo imaging to trace SCI in the rats. No alterations in the GA-5’s recognition/specificity ability were observed after the radiolabeling. The GA-5’s radiolabeling procedure implemented in this work offers a practical method to allow the in vivo following of this monoclonal antibody to evaluate its biodistribution and specificity for GFAP receptors using SPECT/CT molecular imaging.  相似文献

Three photochromic monomers containing a permanent dipole photochromic azobenzene group spaced from the methacryloyl moiety by a polymethylene segment were synthesized in three steps starting from 4-cyanoaniline. The monomers were homopolymerized and copolymerized with an optically active monomer, (-)-menthyl methacrylate, in the presence of AIBN as a radical initiator. Structurally similar amphiphilic polymers were obtained by homopolymerization of analogous methacrylates in which oligo(oxyethylene) segments replaced the polymethylene spacers. The polymeric materials, having a molar content of photochromic units between 5 and 100% and molecular weights of about 15,000, were characterized by thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction, 1D and 2D NMR. Mobility and photochromic properties in solution were also investigated.  相似文献

Homopolymerization of 4-methyl-1-pentene carried out in the presence of catalysts containing variable relative amounts of Ti, Hf and Mg indicates that molecular weight and stereoregularity can be varied to an appreciable extent depending on catalyst nature and composition. A distinct behaviour of the various catalytic systems is also observed during the copolymerization of 4-methyl-1-pentene with monoalkenes such as propylene, 1-butene and 1-hexene. These data are discussed by underlining the important role of the transition metal in determining the features of polyolefins materials.  相似文献
