Kinematic viscosities were measured for 2-butanone + 2-butanol binary liquid mixtures with a capillary Ubbelohde routine viscometer in the temperature range from 273.15 to 353.15 K at atmospheric pressure, and covering the whole miscibility field (0xi1). Experimental data have been correlated by means of different empirical or semiempirical relationships, such as =(T), =(xi), and =(T, xi). Viscosity deviations, , from ideal behavior are negative at all experimental conditions, confirming that structure breaking effects prevail in the liquids. Furthermore, the thermodynamics of viscous flow and excess Gibbs energy of activation of viscous flow, G*E, have been calculated. As an alternative and complementary approach to such investigations, the fluidity () of this binary system has been analyzed by the modified—Batschinski theory. The results are discussed in terms of the specific molecular interactions between the mixture components.  相似文献

The compound bis(di-micro-ethoxo-bis(3,5-di-tert-butylsemiquinonato)dicopper(II)) has been synthesized and its structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group C2/c, with a = 37.736(8) A, b = 9.173(2) A, c = 23.270(5) A, beta = 122.24(3) degrees. The structure can be described as a Lewis adduct between two dinuclear [Cu(DBSQ)(C(2)H(5)O)](2) units (DBSQ = 3,5-di-tert-butyl-semiquinonato). The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility was efficiently analyzed by a combined DFT/experimental approach, showing that a rather strong ferromagnetic interaction exists between the DBSQ(-) and the copper(II) ions modulated by an antiferromagnetic interaction between the two copper(II) ions of the dinuclear units. Weak antiferromagnetism between the two units in the unit cell was measured.  相似文献

A new approach to the interpretation of residual dipolar couplings for the regular secondary structures of proteins is presented. This paper deals with the analysis of the steric and chiral requirements of protein secondary structures and establishes a quantitative correlation between structure periodicity and the experimental values of the backbone residual dipolar couplings. Building on the recent interpretation of the periodicity of residual dipolar couplings in alpha-helices (i.e., "dipolar waves"), a general parametric equation for fitting the residual dipolar couplings of any regular secondary structure is derived. This equation interprets the modulation of the residual dipolar couplings' periodicity in terms of the secondary structure orientation with respect to an arbitrary reference frame, laying the groundwork for using backbone residual dipolar couplings as a fast tool for determining protein folding by NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

The base-promoted isomerization of benzyl oxiranyl ethers was investigated. In particular it was shown that the reaction may proceed toward two main regioisomeric products: a benzyl vinyl ether or a 2-aryl-3-(hydroxyalkyl)oxetane, depending on subtle variations in the substitution on the phenyl ring. Disubstituted oxetanes were obtained in a stereoselective manner, thus providing a good entry to this class of synthetically useful compounds.  相似文献

DTA/TG thermoanalytical investigations and X-ray diffractometry were carried out which demonstrate the effect of MSW fly ash on the hydration reactions of pozzolanic cement. The MSW fly ash has high content of calcium sulphate, alkali chlorides and heavy metals. During the first curing period the calcium aluminate reacts with the sulphate to form ettringite. In that period also the presence of syngenite is noted in the pastes. With the growth of the fly ash content of the mixture there is a lengthening of the period in which the hydration reactions of the calcium silicates are inhibited. Subsequently with the progress of hydration in the pastes the CSH phase develops and the formation of calcium chloroaluminate phase is observed. Copper(II) complexes of 3- and 4-pyridinealdoxime have been prepared and analyzed by spectroscopic (ir and diffuse reflectance) and thermoanalytical (TG, DTG and DTA) techniques. For both these systems, only species with metal: organic ligand: chloride ratio of 122 were found, and the organic ligand appears as a neutral molecule. The spectral data suggest a polymeric structure where the copper(II) ions are in a distorted octahedral environment.The thermal decompositions occur through the reduction of copper(II) to copper(I) and the conversion of the residual organic ligand into acid amide, as found for dihydrogenbis(pyridine-2-aldoxime) copper(II) chloride, but the initial decomposition temperatures are slightly increased, giving rise to the thermal stability sequence:
Zusammenfassung Kupfer(II)-Komplexe von 3- und 4-Pyridinaldoxim wurden hergestellt und spektroskopisch (IR und diffuse Reflexion) sowie thermoanalytisch (TG, DTG und DTA) analysiert. Für beide Systeme wurden nur Species mit einem Metall:Ligand:Chlorid-Verhältnis von 122 gefunden. Der organische Ligand liegt als neutrales Molekül vor. Die Spektren deuten auf eine polymère Struktur hin, in der die Kupfer(II)-Ionen in einer verzerrten oktaedrischen Koordination vorliegen. Die thermischen Zersetzungen verlaufen über die Reduktion von Cu(II) zu Cu(I) und die Umwandlung des verbleibenden organischen Liganden in Säureamid, wie für Dihydrogen-bis(pyridin-2-aldoxim)-kupfer(II)-chlorid gefunden wurde, aber die Temperaturen des Beginns der Zersetzung und damit die thermische Stabilität steigen in der Reihenfolge [Cu(Py4-CHNOH)2Cl2][Cu(Py3-CHNOH)2Cl2]>[Cu(Py2-CHNOH)2]Cl2 etwas an.

The first examples of heterocycle-based multi-branched dyes with efficient two-photon absorption (TPA) activity are reported; the novel chromophores exhibit large TPA cross sections (as high as 1600 x 10(-50) cm4 s photon(-1) molecule(-1), measured with 150 fs laser pulses at 800 nm); a strong cooperative enhancement in the branched systems with respect to the one-dimensional sub-units is found.  相似文献

We present investigations on noncovalent bonding and supramolecular self-assembly of two related molecular building blocks at a noble metal surface: 4-[trans-2-(pyrid-4-yl-vinyl)]benzoic acid (PVBA) and 4-[(pyrid-4-yl-ethynyl)]benzoic acid (PEBA). These rigid, rodlike molecules comprising the same complementary moieties for hydrogen bond formation are comparable in shape and size. For PVBA, the ethenylene moiety accounts for two-dimensional (2-D) chirality upon confinement to a surface; PEBA is linear and thus 2-D achiral. Molecular films were deposited on a Ag(111) surface by organic molecular beam epitaxy and characterized by scanning tunneling microscopy. At low temperatures (around 150 K), both species form irregular networks of flat lying molecules linked via their endgroups in a diffusion-limited aggregation process. In the absence of kinetic limitations (adsorption or annealing at room temperature), hydrogen-bonded supramolecular assemblies form which are markedly different. With PVBA, enantiomorphic twin chains in two mirror-symmetric species running along a high-symmetry direction of the substrate lattice form by diastereoselective self-assembly of one enantiomer. The chirality signature is strictly correlated between neighboring twin chains. Enantiopure one-dimensional (1-D) supramolecular nanogratings with tunable periodicity evolve at intermediate coverages, reflecting chiral resolution in micrometer domains. In contrast, PEBA assembles in 2-D hydrogen-bonded islands, which are enantiomorphic because of the orientation of the supramolecular arrangements along low-symmetry directions of the substrate. Thus, for PVBA, chiral molecules form 1-D enantiomorphic supramolecular structures because of mesoscopic resolution of a 2-D chiral species, whereas with PEBA, the packing of an achiral species causes 2-D enantiomorphic arrangements. Model simulations of supramolecular ordering provide a deeper understanding of the stability of these systems.  相似文献

A series of chelating resins, derived from a macroreticular styrene-divinylbenzene (2%) copolymer beads grafted with various poly(ethylene glycols) HO? (? CH2? CH2? O? )n? H(n = 0, 4, 9, 13) and containing thiol groups as chelating functions, have been synthesized in a three-step reaction sequence. The structure of the functionalized resins was confirmed by IR spectrophotometry, elemental analysis, and differential scanning calorimetry. The complexation behavior of these thiol resins was investigated towards Hg(II), Cu(II), and Pb(II) ions in aqueous solution by a batch equilibration technique. The influence of pH on adsorption capacity was also examined. The adsorption values for metal ions' intake followed the order Hg(II) > Cu(II) > Pb(II). The affinity of these polymers towards Hg(II) ions was so high that the total mercury level in the liquid decreased from 20 ppm to below 10 ppb after 2 h of treatment. Polymers can be regenerated by washing with a solution of hydrochloric acid (6N) and 10% by weight of an aqueous solution of thiourea. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献
