Accumulation of heavy metals (HMs) by ornamental plants (OPs) from contaminated agriculture soils is a unique technique that can efficiently reduce the metal load in the food chain. Amaranthus tricolor L. has attractive characteristics acquiring a higher growth rate and large biomass when grown at heavy metal contaminated soils. Site-specific detailed information is not available on the use of A. tricolor plant in metal phytoremediation from the polluted sites. The study aimed to enhance the uptake of HMs (Pb, Zn, and Cu) via amending poultry litter extract (PLE), vinasse sugarcane (VSC), and humic acid (HA) as natural mobilized organic materials compared to ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA), as a common mobilized chemical agent by A. tricolor plant. The studied soils collected from Helwan, El-Gabal El-Asfar (Cairo Governorate), Arab El-Madabeg (Assiut Governorate), Egypt, and study have been conducted under pot condition. Our results revealed all organic materials in all studied soils, except EDTA in EL-Gabal El-Asfar soil, significantly increased the dry weight of the A. tricolor plant compared to the control treatment. The uptake of Pb and Zn significantly (p > 0.05) increased due to applying all organic materials to the studied soils. HA application caused the highest uptake as shown in Pb concentration by more than 5 times in Helwan soil and EDTA by 65% in El-Gabal El-Asfar soil while VSC increased it by 110% in El-Madabeg soil. Also, an increase in Zn concentration due to EDTA application was 58, 42, and 56% for Helwan, El-Gabal El-Asfar, and El-Madabeg soil, respectively. In all studied soils, the application of organic materials increased the remediation factor (RF) than the control. El-Madabeg soil treated with vinasse sugarcane gave the highest RF values; 6.40, 3.26, and 4.02% for Pb, Zn, and Cu, respectively, than the control. Thus, we identified A. tricolor as a successful ornamental candidate that, along with organic mobilization amendments, most efficiently develop soil health, reduce metal toxicity, and recommend remediation of heavy metal-contaminated soils. Additionally, long-term application of organic mobilization amendments and continued growth of A. tricolor under field conditions could be recommended for future directions to confirm the results.  相似文献

The hydrazide obtained from furan-2(3H)-one integrated with a quinolin-2(1H)-one core reported previously by our research group was utilized as a building block synthon to obtain some pyrrolone, pyridazinone, oxadiazole, and triazole derivatives through treating with some carbon electrophilic reagents, for example, chloroacetyl chloride, benzoyl chloride, acetic anhydride, carbon disulfide, 3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde, and 2-oxoquinolin-3-carbaldehyde to achieve the target heterocycles. The newly synthesized compounds were evaluated as immunomodulator against highly pathogenic avian influenza virus (H5N8). The compounds 1 , 11 , and 17 displayed the highest potency (100% protection).  相似文献

Six solid Pd(II) and Hg(II) complexes of some purines and pyrimidines have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV–Vis spectra, magnetic measurements, and thermal analyses. The data suggest tetrahedral and square planar geometries for mercury and palladium complexes, respectively. The thermal behavior of the complexes has been studied applying TG, DTA, and DSC techniques, and the thermodynamic parameters and mechanisms of the decompositions were evaluated. The ?S* values of the decomposition steps of the metal complexes indicated that the activated fragments have more ordered structure than the undecomposed complexes, and/or the decomposition reactions are slow. The thermal processes proceeded in complicated mechanisms where the bond between the central metal ion and the ligands dissociates after losing small molecules such as H2O, HCl or C=O. The palladium adenine complex is ended with the metal as a final product. However, the thermal reactions of the other five palladium and mercury pyrimidines complexes are ended with metal bonded to O, N, or S of the pyrimidine ring.  相似文献

Three new series of paracyclophanyl-dihydronaphtho[2,3-d]thiazoles and paracyclophanyl-thiazolium bromides were designed, synthesized, and characterized by their spectroscopic data, along with X-ray analysis. One-dose assay results of anticancer activity indicated that 3a–e had the highest ability to inhibit the proliferation of different cancer cell lines. Moreover, the hybrids 3c–e were selected for five-dose analyses to demonstrate a broad spectrum of antitumor activity without apparent selectivity. Interestingly, series I compounds (Z)-N-substituted-4,9-dihydronaphtho[2,3-d]thiazol-3(2H)-yl)-4′-[2.2]paracyclophanylamide) that are carrying 1,4-dihydronaphthoquinone were more active as antiproliferative agents than their naphthalene-containing congeners (series II: substituted 2-(4′-[2.2]paracyclophanyl)hydrazinyl)-4-(naphth-2-yl)-thiazol-3-ium bromide hybrids) and (series III: 3-(4′-[2.2]paracyclophanyl)amido-2-(cyclopropylamino)-4-(naphth-2-yl)thiazol-3-ium bromide) toward the SK-MEL-5 melanoma cell line. Further antiproliferation investigations of 3c and 3e on the healthy, normal unaffected SK-MEL-5 cell line indicated their relative safety. Compound 3c showed an inhibition of eight isoforms of cyclin-dependent kinases (CDK); however, it exhibited the lowest IC50 of 54.8 nM on CDK1 in comparison to Dinaciclib as a reference. Additionally, compound 3c revealed a remarkable downregulation of phospho-Tyr15 with a level (7.45 pg/mL) close to the reference. 3c mainly showed cell cycle arrest in the pre-G1 and G2/M phases upon analysis of the SK-MEL-5 cell line. The sequential caspase-3 assay for 3c indicated a remarkable overexpression level. Finally, a molecular docking study was adopted to elucidate the binding mode and interactions of the target compounds with CDK1.  相似文献

New imidazoles were easily prepared from 2,3‐diamino‐1,4‐naphthoquinone and stoichiometric quantities of the appropriate aldehydes in dimethyl sulfoxide as a solvent. The reaction proceeded for few hours. The procedure can be generalized to different classes of aldehydes. 2‐Methyl‐1H‐naphtho[2,3‐d]imidazole‐4,9‐dione was also obtained in good yield during refluxing of 2,3‐diaminonaphthoquinone in acetic acid. V2O5 thin films were prepared under various conditions by using reactive RF sputtering technique. The microstructure and electrical properties of the films are have been investigated. X-ray diffraction data revealed the films deposited at low O2/Ar ratio are amorphous. The orthorhombic structure of film improved after post annealing at 873 K. The microstructure parameters (crystallite/domain size and macrostrain) have been evaluated by using a single order Voigt profile method. Using the two-point probe technique, the dark conductivity as a function of the condition parameters such as film thickness, oxygen content and temperature are discussed. It was also found that, the behaviour of ρd versus d was found to fit properly with the Fuchs-Sondheimer relation with the parameters: ρo = 2.14 × 107 Ω cm and ?o = 112 ± 2 nm. At high temperature, the electrical conductivity is dominated by grain boundaries, the values of activation energy and potential barrier height were 0.90 ± 0.02 eV and 0.92 ± 0.02 V, respectively.  相似文献

 A procedure for the colorimetric assay of praziquantel has been developed. The method is based on the formation of charge-transfer complexes with p-chloranil (I), dichloronitrophenol (II), 2,3-dichloro-5,6 dicyano-p-benzoquinone (III), 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (IV) and tetracyanoethylene (V) as π-acceptors to give highly coloured species. The coloured products are measured spectrophotometrically at 550, 425, 460, 844 and 393 nm for I, II, III, IV and V, respectively. Optimization of the different reaction conditions is described. The colour system obeyed Beer’s law in non-aqueous media in the concentration range 2.0–48 μg ml−1. It was stable for at least 4.0 h. The detection limit was found to be 0.6 μg ml−1. Applications of the procedure to the analysis of various pharmaceutical samples gave reproducible and accurate results. Further, the validity of the procedure was confirmed by applying the standard addition technique. The total average recovery was 100.2%. Received June 10, 2000. Revision December 23, 2000.  相似文献

Turbulent flames with compositionally inhomogeneous mixtures are common in many combustion systems. Turbulent jet flames with a circular nozzle burner were used earlier to study the impact of inhomogeneous mixtures, and these studies showed that the nozzle radius affects the flame stability. Accordingly, planar turbulent flames with inhomogeneous turbulent jet are created in a concentric flow slot burner (CFSB) to avoid this effect in the present study. The stability characteristics, the mixing field structure, and the flame front structure were measured, and the correlations between stability and the mixing field structure were investigated. The mixture fraction field was measured in non-reacting jets at the nozzle exit using highly resolved Rayleigh scattering technique, and the flame front was measured in some selected turbulent flames using high-speed Planar Laser-Induced Fluorescence (PLIF) of OH technique. The data show strong correlations between flame stability and the range of mixture fraction fluctuations. The flames are highly stabilized within a mixing field environment with the range of fluctuation in mixture fraction close to the range of the flammability limits. The mixing field structure is also illustrated and discussed using a mixing regime diagram and showed that the scatter of the data of the different cases is consistent with the classified mixing regimes. Lean flames are stabilized in the current slot burner. The flame front structure topology varies consistently from thin, small curvature at the low level of turbulence and higher equivalence ratio to more wrinkled, larger curvature, but a thicker structure at a higher level of turbulence and lower equivalence ratio.  相似文献
