Natural products with therapeutic nature are nowadays warmly welcomed in textiles. Current study is concerned with isolation of tannin from neem bark (Azadirachta indica) and its application onto silk fabric. For improvement in shades, chemical & bio-mordants have been employed at optimal dyeing conditions. It is found that methanolic extract of pH 5 obtained 8 g dye powder after US Treatment for 30 min has given high color strength if used to dye irradiated silk for 65 min at 75 °C. Bio-mordanting using herbal plants has improved the color characteristics as compared to chemical mordants used. ISO standards for color fastness reveal that herbal based bio-mordants have improved the rating from good to excellent as compared to chemical mordants used. It is concluded that US treatment has not only isolate the colorant for neem bark under mild condition but also given excellent characteristic using bio mordants onto silk fabrics.  相似文献

The weighted maximal planar graph (WMPG) is practically important in the laying out of facilities in modern manufacturing environments. Given a weighted complete graph, the WMPG seeks to find a sub-graph such that it is planar—it can be embedded on the plane without any arcs intersecting, and it is maximal—no additional arc can be added to the sub-graph without destroying its planarity, and it also has the maximal sum of arc weights. In this paper, an integer linear programming (ILP) model is newly introduced for the problem. Two meta-heuristics are then derived from the ILP relaxation. The first meta-heuristic considers all variables with fractional values greater than half in the ILP relaxation to build an initial sub-graph from which a planar sub-graph is extracted using greedy random adaptive search procedure (GRASP) and augmented by triangulation of faces. The second meta-heuristic considers only arcs with integer values in the ILP relaxation. The remaining arcs are then sorted in descending order of their weights, for selection and insertion with a planarity testing procedure, to obtain a feasible solution using GRASP. Computational results are reported on a set of 100 test instances of size varying from 20 to 100 facilities. The computational results demonstrate the tightness of the new upper bound when compared to the classical one as well as the good performance of the proposed metaheuristics when compared to the best-known procedures in the literature in terms of solution quality and computational requirement. Finally, the paper presents a successful integration of GRASP with classical optimisation approaches and should be attempted for other optimisation problems.  相似文献

Full finite-range macroscopic calculations in the distorted-wave Born approximation have been performed using the molecular and Michel α-nucleus potentials to analyze the angular distributions of cross-sections of the 27Al(α, d)29Si reaction, at 26.5 and 27.2 MeV incident energies, leading to seven transitions up to the excitation energy E X = 4.08 MeV of the final nucleus. The parameters of the two types of the α-nucleus potentials are determined from the elastic-scattering data. Both the molecular and Michel potentials, without any adjustment to the parameters needed to fit the elastic-scattering data, are able in most cases to reproduce, simultaneously, the absolute cross-sections particularly at large angles, where the previous calculations failed to reproduce by orders of magnitude, and the gross pattern of angular distributions of the reaction. The deuteron-cluster spectroscopic factors for most of the seven transitions, deduced using the two α-27Al potentials, differ from those obtained in earlier works. The spectroscopic factor for the ground-state transition, deduced in the present work for the 25.8 MeV data, agrees well with the shell model prediction. Clustering phenomenon has been studied in a film-deposition model in which a monolayer of particles is deposited onto a substrate. The occupation of a given site is assumed to depend on the occupation states of its nearest neighbouring sites as well as on the temperature of the particles being deposited. It is found that the percolating clusters remain ramified in that the number of their boundary sites are proportional to the number of particles in the cluster. The percolation threshold, however is lowered to (54±2)% as compared to 59% density for the uncorrelated case.  相似文献

The optical transmission properties of a one-dimensional Drude model photonic crystal are investigated. The linear wave propagation is studied by the transfer matrix method. Using a delta-function approximation a nonlinear 2-d map is obtained and used to explore the global transmission properties of nonlinear wave propagation in this system. Inclusion of a frequency-dependent refractive index represented by the Drude model results in a considerable modification of the characteristics of the linear and nonlinear wave propagation of the one-dimensional photonic crystal.  相似文献

Magnetic nanoparticles of cobalt ferrite have been synthesized by wet chemical method using stable ferric and cobalt salts with oleic acid as the surfactant. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) confirmed the formation of single-phase cobalt ferrite nanoparticles in the range 15–48 nm depending on the annealing temperature and time. The size of the particles increases with annealing temperature and time while the coercivity goes through a maximum, peaking at around 28 nm. A very large coercivity (10.5 kOe) is observed on cooling down to 77 K while typical blocking effects are observed below about 260 K. The high field moment is observed to be small for smaller particles and approaches the bulk value for large particles.  相似文献
