The Diels-Alder reaction of substituted cyclohexadienes with substituted phenylacetylenes offers an attractive alternative for the synthesis of biaryl compounds via a two-step cycloaddition/cycloelimination pathway. Quantum mechanical calculations using B3LYP and M06-2X density functional methods for the reaction of 2-chloro-6-nitrophenylacetylene with 1-carbomethoxy-cyclohexadiene show the reaction proceeds by a stepwise diradical [4+2] cycloaddition followed by concerted [2+4] cycloelimination of ethylene. [2+2] cycloadducts are also the result of stepwise addition. [2+2] cycloadducts isomerize to [4+2] cycloadducts via diradical pathways, which involve the same diradical intermediate in cycloaddition. There is also a competitive conrotatory ring opening followed by trans-cis double bond isomerization pathway of the [4.2.0] bicycle (the [2+2] cycloadduct) to give the cis,cis,cis-1,3,5-cyclooctatriene.  相似文献

The potential cycloaddition reactions between cyclopentadiene and cycloheptatriene have been explored theoretically. B3LYP/6-31G was used to locate the transition states, intermediates, and products for concerted pathways and stepwise pathways passing through diradical intermediates. Interconversions of various cycloadducts through sigmatropic shifts were also explored. CASPT2/6-31G single point calculations were employed to obtain independent activation energy estimates. MM3 was also used to compute reaction energetics. Several bispericyclic cycloadditions in which two cycloadducts are linked by a sigmatropic shift have been identified. B3LYP predicts, in line with frontier molecular orbital predictions, that the [6+4] cycloaddition is the favored concerted pathway, but an alternative [4+2] pathway is very close in energy. By contrast, CASPT2 predicts that a [4+2] cycloaddition is the preferred pathway. B3LYP predicts that the lowest energy path to many of the cycloadducts will involve diradical intermediates, whereas CASPT2 predicts that each of the products of orbital symmetry allowed reactions will be reached most readily by closed shell processes-concerted cycloadditions and sigmatropic shift rearrangements of cycloadducts.  相似文献

Quantum mechanical calculations using restricted and unrestricted B3LYP density functional theory, CASPT2, and CBS-QB3 methods for the dimerization of 1,3-cyclohexadiene (1) reveal several highly competitive concerted and stepwise reaction pathways leading to [4 + 2] and [2 + 2] cycloadducts, as well as a novel [6 + 4] ene product. The transition state for endo-[4 + 2] cycloaddition (endo-2TS, DeltaH(double dagger)(B3LYP(0K)) = 28.7 kcal/mol and DeltaH(double dagger)(CBS-QB3(0K)) = 19.0 kcal/mol) is not bis-pericyclic, leading to nondegenerate primary and secondary orbital interactions. However, the C(s) symmetric second-order saddle point on the B3LYP energy surface is only 0.3 kcal/mol above endo-2TS. The activation enthalpy for the concerted exo-[4 + 2] cycloaddition (exo-2TS, DeltaH(double dagger)(B3LYP(0K)) = 30.1 kcal/mol and DeltaH(double dagger)(CBS-QB3(0K)) = 21.1 kcal/mol) is 1.4 kcal/mol higher than that of the endo transition state. Stepwise pathways involving diallyl radicals are formed via two different C-C forming transition states (rac-5TS and meso-5TS) and are predicted to be competitive with the concerted cycloaddition. Transition states were located for cyclization from intermediate rac-5 leading to the endo-[4 + 2] (endo-2) and exo-[2 + 2] (anti-3) cycloadducts. Only the endo-[2 + 2] (syn-3) transition state was located for cyclization of intermediate meso-5. The novel [6 + 4] "concerted" ene transition state (threo-4TS, DeltaH(double dagger)(UB3LYP(0K)) = 28.3 kcal/mol) is found to be unstable with respect to an unrestricted calculation. This diradicaloid transition state closely resembles the cyclohexadiallyl radical rather than the linked cyclohexadienyl radical. Several [3,3] sigmatropic rearrangement transition states were also located and have activation enthalpies between 27 and 31 kcal/mol.  相似文献

Cycloaddition reactions of allenylphosphonates [(RO)(2)P(O)[(R(1))C═C═CR(2)(2)] with dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates, 1,3-diphenylisobenzofuran, and anthracene have been investigated and compared with those of allenoates [(EtO(2)C)RC═C═CH(2)] and allenylphosphine oxides [Ph(2)P(O)(R(1))C═C═CR(2)(2)] in selected cases. Allenylphosphonates (RO)(2)P(O)(Ar)C═C═CH(2) with an α-aryl group preferentially undergo [4 + 2] cycloaddition with DMAD/DEAD under thermal activation, but in addition to the expected 1:1 (allene: DMAD) product, the reaction also leads to 1:2 as well as 2:1 products that were not reported before. When an extra vinyl group is present at the γ-carbon of allenylphosphonate [e.g., (OCH(2)CMe(2)CH(2)O)P(O)(Ph)C═C═CH(C═CHMe)], [4 + 2] cycloaddition takes place utilizing either the vinylic or the aryl end, but additionally a novel cyclization wherein complete opening of the [β,γ] carbon-carbon double bond of the allene is realized. In contrast to these, the reaction of allenylphosphonate (OCH(2)CMe(2)CH(2)O)P(O)(H)C═C═CMe(2) possessing a terminal ═CMe(2) group with DMAD occurs by both [2 + 2] cycloaddition and ene reaction. While the reaction of ═CH(2) terminal allenylphosphonates as well as allenylphosphine oxides with 1,3-diphenylisobenzofuran afforded preferentially endo-[4 + 2] cycloaddition products via [α,β] attack, the analogous allenoates [(EtO(2)C)RC═C═CH(2)] underwent exo-[4 + 2] cyclization. Under similar conditions, allenylphosphonates with a terminal ═CR(2) group gave only [β,γ]-cycloaddition products. An unusual ring-opening of a [4 + 2] cycloaddition product followed by ring-closing via [4 + 4] cycloaddition, as revealed by (31)P NMR spectroscopy, is reported. Anthracene reacted in a manner similar to 1,3-diphenylisobenzofuran, albeit with lower reactivity. Key products, including a set of exo- and endo- [4 + 2] cycloaddition products, have been characterized by single crystal X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

The [3 + 2] cycloaddition reaction of C(60) with ethyl isonicotinoylacetate in the presence of piperidine in PhCl at room temperature or in the presence of Mn(OAc)(3) in refluxing PhCl gave the pyridyl-containing dihydrofuran-fused C(60) derivative (4-C(5)H(4)N)C(O)═C(C(60))CO(2)Et (1), whereas the phenyl-containing C(60) derivative PhC(O)═C(C(60))CO(2)Et (2) was similarly prepared by [3 + 2] cycloaddition reaction of C(60) with ethyl benzoylacetate in the presence of piperidine or Mn(OAc)(3). More interestingly, one of the new porphyrin-fullerene dyads, i.e., [4-C(5)H(4)NC(O)═C(C(60))CO(2)Et]·ZnTPPH (3, ZnTPPH = tetraphenylporphyrinozinc), could be prepared by coordination reaction of the pyridyl-containing C(60) derivative 1 with equimolar ZnTPPH in CS(2)/hexane at room temperature. In addition, the β-keto ester-substituted porphyrin derivative H(2)TPPC(O)CH(2)CO(2)Et (4) was prepared by a sequential reaction of HO(2)CCH(2)CO(2)Et with n-BuLi in 1:2 molar ratio followed by treatment with H(2)TPPC(O)Cl in the presence of Et(3)N and then hydrolysis with diluted HCl, whereas the porphyrinozinc derivative ZnTPPC(O)CH(2)CO(2)Et (5) could be prepared by coordination reaction of 4 with Zn(OAc)(2) in refluxing CHCl(3)/MeOH. Particularly interesting is that the second new porphyrin-fullerene dyad H(2)TPPC(O)═C(C(60))CO(2)Et (6) could be prepared by [3 + 2] cycloaddition reaction of 4 with C(60) in the presence of piperidine in PhCl at room temperature. In addition, treatment of 6 with Zn(OAc)(2) in refluxing CHCl(3)/MeOH afforded the third new dyad ZnTPPC(O)═C(C(60))CO(2)Et (7). All the new compounds 1-7 were characterized by elemental analysis and various spectroscopic methods and particularly for 2, 3, and 5 by X-ray crystallography. The five-component system consisting of an electron donor EDTA, dyad 3, an electron mediator methylviologen (MV(2+)), the catalyst colloidal Pt, and a proton source HOAc was proved to be effective for photoinduced H(2) evolution. A possible pathway for such a type of H(2) evolution was proposed.  相似文献

The molecular mechanisms of the reactions between aryliden-5(4H)-oxazolone 1, and cyclopentadiene (Cp), in presence of Lewis acid (LA) catalyst to obtain the corresponding [4+2] and [4+3] cycloadducts are examined through density functional theory (DFT) calculations at the B3LYP/6-31G* level. The activation effect of LA catalyst can be reached by two ways, that is, interaction of LA either with carbonyl or carboxyl oxygen atoms of 1 to render [4+2] or [4+3] cycloadducts. The endo and exo [4+2] cycloadducts are formed through a highly asynchronous concerted mechanism associated to a Michael-type addition of Cp to the beta-conjugated position of alpha,beta-unsaturated carbonyl framework of 1. Coordination of LA catalyst to the carboxyl oxygen yields a highly functionalized compound, 3, through a domino reaction. For this process, the first reaction is a stepwise [4+3] cycloaddition which is initiated by a Friedel-Crafts-type addition of the electrophilically activated carbonyl group of 1 to Cp and subsequent cyclization of the corresponding zwitterionic intermediate to yield the corresponding [4+3] cycloadduct. The next rearrangement is the nucleophilic trapping of this cycloadduct by a second molecule of Cp to yield the final adduct 3. A new reaction pathway for the [4+3] cycloadditions emerges from the present study.  相似文献

Gas-phase reactions of acylium ions with alpha,beta-unsaturated carbonyl compounds were investigated using pentaquadrupole multiple-stage mass spectrometry. With acrolein and metacrolein, CH(3)-C(+)(double bond)O, CH(2)(double bond)CH-C(+)(double bond)O, C(6)H(5)-C(+)(double bond)O, and (CH(3))(2)N-C(+)(double bond)O react to variable extents by mono and double polar [4 + 2(+)] Diels-Alder cycloaddition. With ethyl vinyl ketone, CH(3)-C(+)(double bond)O reacts exclusively by proton transfer and C(6)H(5)-C(+)(double bond)O forms only the mono cycloadduct whereas CH(2)(double bond)CH-C(+)(double bond)O and (CH(3))(2)N-C(+)(double bond)O reacts to great extents by mono and double cycloaddition. The positively charged acylium ions are activated O-heterodienophiles, and mono cycloaddition occurs readily across their C(+)(double bond)O bonds to form resonance-stabilized 1,3-dioxinylium ions which, upon collisional activation, dissociate predominantly by retro-addition. The mono cycloadducts are also dienophiles activated by resonance-stabilized and chemically inert 1,3-dioxonium ion groups, hence they undergo a second cycloaddition across their polarized C(double bond)C ring double bonds. (18)O labeling and characteristic dissociations displayed by the double cycloadducts indicate the site and regioselectivity of double cycloaddition, which are corroborated by Becke3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) calculations. Most double cycloadducts dissociate by the loss of a RCO(2)COR(1) molecule and by a pathway that reforms the acylium ion directly. The double cycloadduct of the thioacylium ion (CH(3))(2)N-C(+)(double bond)S with acrolein dissociates to (CH(3))(2)N-C(+)(double bond)O in a sulfur-by-oxygen replacement process intermediated by the cyclic monoadduct. The double cycloaddition can be viewed as a charge-remote type of polar [4 + 2(+)] Diels-Alder cycloaddition reaction.  相似文献

Ab initio calculations (MP2/6-311+G**//B3LYP/6-31G*) were employed to investigate the mechanism of metal chloride-promoted Mukaiyama aldol reaction between trihydrosilyl enol ether and formaldehyde. The metal chlorides considered include TiCl4, BCl3, AlCl3, and GaCl3. In contrast to the concerted pathway of the uncatalyzed aldol reaction, the Lewis acid-promoted reactions favor a stepwise mechanism. Three possible stepwise pathways were located. The lowest energy pathway corresponds to a simultaneous C-C bond formation and a chlorine atom shift in the first (rate-determining) step. This process is calculated to have a low activation barrier of 12 kJ mol-1 for the TiCl4-promoted reaction. The alternative [2+2] cycloaddition and direct carbon-carbon bond formation pathways are energetically competitive. BCl3, AlCl3, and GaCl3 are predicted to be efficient catalysts for the silicon-directed aldol reaction as they strongly activate the formaldehyde electrophile. Formation of a stable pretransition state intermolecular pi-pi complex between enol silane and the activated formaldehyde (CH2=O...MCln) is a key driving force for the facile metal chloride-promoted reactions.  相似文献

The reactions of vinylketene (1a), imidoylketene (1b), and formylketene (1c) with formaldimine (2) were studied at the B3LYP/6-31G* level. For the cycloadditions of these conjugated ketenes with 2, several possible pathways to both [4 + 2] and [2 + 2] products were examined. The lowest energy [2 + 2] pathways are, in most cases, calculated to be stepwise, forming the products via rate-determining conrotatory electrocyclization of zwitterionic intermediates. However, concerted transition structures analogous to the ketene plus ethene [2 + 2] cycloaddition reaction were also located; the existence of multiple transition states offers a resolution to a long-standing controversy regarding the mechanism of ketene plus imine cycloadditions. Both stepwise and concerted [4 + 2] pathways were calculated for 2b and for 2c; both these pathways are pseudopericyclic. The inherently low barriers associated with pseudopericyclic transition states provide an explanation of the experimental preference for [4 + 2] cycloadditions of alpha-oxoketenes and predict [4 + 2] cycloadditions should also be favored for imidoylketenes. For a vinylketene constrained to a Z-geometry, the concerted [4 + 2] cycloaddition is also predicted to be the lowest energy pathway. An explanation is offered for the unusual thermal equilibration from a six-membered ring (3d) to a four-membered ring (4d) observed by Sato et al. Transition structures for facile pseudopericyclic 1,3- and 1,5-hydrogen shifts in the zwitterions were also calculated.  相似文献

[STRUCTURE: SEE TEXT] Intermolecular 1,5-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of tungsten-containing vinylazomethine ylide, generated from o-(alk-3-en-1-ynyl)phenylbenzaldimines and tungsten carbonyl complex, with ketene acetals proceeds efficiently to give azepino[1,2-a]indole derivatives in good yield. Formation of [5+2] or [3+2] cycloadducts can be controlled by an appropriate choice of dipolarophile.  相似文献

The ground- (S0) and lowest triplet-state (T1) pathways associated with dimerization of cyclohexadiene to give [2+2] and [4+2] cycloadducts have been theoretically studied at the UBLYP and UB3LYP levels of theory with the 6-31G* basis set. The DFT energies were validated by CCSD(T) single-point energy calculations. These cycloaddition reactions follow stepwise mechanisms with formation of bis-allylic biradical (BB) intermediates. In the S0 ground state, the interaction between two cyclohexadiene molecules with formation of BB intermediate IN(S0) has a large activation enthalpy of 32.0 kcal mol(-1). On the other hand, C-C bond-formation in the lowest triplet state (T1) leading to BB intermediate IN(T1) has a low activation enthalpy of 5.0 kcal mol(-1), but the subsequent ring closure involves a very large activation enthalpy of 43.4 kcal mol(-1). Triplet-to-singlet intersystem crossing from IN(T1) to IN(S0) favors cyclization to give the corresponding [2+2] and [4+2] cycloadducts.  相似文献

Buta-2,3-dienoate reacts with vinyl ketenimine to give the corresponding substituted aniline through a Diels-Alder cycloaddition. Besides the expected Diels-Alder adduct 3a, the aniline 3b was also obtained in a ratio of 91:9. The observed (13)C exchange is explained on the basis of a reversible [2 + 2] cycloaddition competing with the [4 + 2] process. This is supported by B3LYP DFT computations, as a stepwise pathway lies very close in energy to the [4 + 2] concerted one. [reaction: see text]  相似文献

Recently, it was reported that both dienylfurans and dienylisobenzofurans could react with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate (DMAD) to give [8+2] cycloadducts. Understanding these [8+2] reactions will aid the design of additional [8+2] reactions, which have the potential for the synthesis of 10-membered and larger carbocycles. The present Article is aimed to understand the detailed mechanisms of the originally reported [8+2] cycloaddition reaction between dienylisobenzofurans and alkynes at the molecular level through the joint forces of computation and experiment. Density functional theory calculations at the (U)B3LYP/6-31+G(d) level suggest that the concerted [8+2] pathway between dienylisobenzofurans and alkynes is not favored. A stepwise reaction pathway involving formation of a zwitterionic intermediate for the [8+2] reactions between dienylisobenzofurans that contain electron-donating methoxy groups present in their diene moieties and DMAD has been predicted computationally. This pathway is in competition with a Diels-Alder [4+2] reaction between the furan moieties of dienylisobenzofurans and DMAD. When there is no electron-donating group present in the diene moieties of dienylisobenzofurans, the [8+2] reaction occurs through an alternative mechanism involving a [4+2] reaction between the furan moiety of the tetraene and DMAD, followed by a [1,5]-vinyl shift. This computationally predicted novel mechanism was supported experimentally.  相似文献

The reaction paths of [2 + 2] cycloadditions of allene (H2C=C=CH2) to isocyanic acid (HN=C=O) and ketene (H2C=C=O) to vinylimine (H2C=C=NH), leading to all the possible 14 four-membered ring molecules, were investigated by the MP2/aug-cc-pVDZ method. In the two considered reactions, the 2-azetidinone (beta-lactam) ring compounds were predicted to be the most stable thermodynamically in the absence of an environment. Although 4-methylene-2-azetidinone is the most stable product of the ketene-vinylimine cycloaddition, its activation barrier is higher than that for 4-methylene-2-iminooxetane by ca. 6 kcal/mol. Therefore, the latter product can be obtained owing to kinetic control. The activation barriers in the allene-isocyanic acid reactions are quite high, 50-70 kcal/mol, whereas in the course of the ketene-vinylimine cycloaddition they are equal to ca. 30-55 kcal/mol. All the reactions studied were found to be concerted and mostly asynchronous. Simulation of the solvent environment (toluene, tetrahydrofuran, acetonitrile, and water) by using Tomasi's polarized continuum model with the integral equation formalism (IEF-PCM) method showed the allene-isocyanic reactions remained concerted, yet the activation barriers were somewhat higher than those in the gas phase, whereas the ketene-vinylimine reactions became stepwise. The larger the solvent dielectric constant, the lower the activation barriers found. The lowest-energy pathways in the gas phase and in solvent were confirmed by intrinsic reaction coordinate (IRC) calculations. The atoms in molecules (AIM) analysis of the electron density distribution in the transition-state (TS) structures allowed us to distinguish pericyclic from pseudopericyclic from nonplanar-pseudopericyclic types of reactions.  相似文献

The ring-closing reaction of hexatriene radical cation 1(*)(+) to 1,3-cyclohexadiene radical cation 2(*)(+) was studied computationally at the B3LYP/6-31G* and QCISD(T)/6-311G*//QCISD/6-31G* levels of theory. Both, concerted and stepwise mechanisms were initially considered for this reaction. Upon evaluation at the B3LYP level of theory, three of the possible pathways-a concerted C(2)-symmetric via transition structure 3(*)(+) and stepwise C(1)-symmetric pathways involving three-membered ring intermediate 5(*)(+) and four-membered ring intermediate 6(*)(+)-were rejected due to high-energy stationary points along the reaction pathway. The two remaining pathways were found to be of competing energy. The first proceeds through the asymmetric, concerted transition structure 4(*)(+) with an activation barrier E(a) = 16.2 kcal/mol and an overall exothermicity of -23.8 kcal/mol. The second pathway, beginning from the cis, cis, trans rotamer of 1(*)(+), proceeds by a stepwise pathway to the cyclohexadiene product with an overall exothermicity of -18.6 kcal/mol. The activation energy for the rate-determining step in this process, the formation of the intermediate bicyclo[3.1.0]hex-2-ene via transition structure 9(*)(+), was found to be 20.4 kcal/mol. More rigorous calculations of a smaller subsection of the potential energy hypersurface at the QCISD(T)//QCISD level confirmed these findings and emphasized the importance of conformational control of the reactant.  相似文献

Proton affinity and fluoride affinity of nerve agent VX at all of its possible sites were calculated at the RI-MP2/cc-pVTZ//B3LYP/6-31G* and RI-MP2/aug-cc-pVTZ//B3LYP/6-31+G* levels, respectively. The protonation leads to various unique structures, with H(+) attached to oxygen, nitrogen, and sulfur atoms; among which the nitrogen site possesses the highest proton affinity of -ΔE ~ 251 kcal/mol, suggesting that this is likely to be the major product. In addition some H(2), CH(4) dissociation as well as destruction channels have been found, among which the CH(4) + [Et-O-P(═O)(Me)-S-(CH(2))(2)-N(+)(iPr)═CHMe] product and the destruction product forming Et-O-P(═O)(Me)-SMe + CH(2)═N(+)(iPr)(2) are only 9 kcal/mol less stable than the most stable N-protonated product. For fluoridization, the S-P destruction channel to give Et-O-P(═O)(Me)(F) + [S-(CH(2))(2)-N-(iPr)(2)](-) is energetically the most favorable, with a fluoride affinity of -ΔE ~ 44 kcal. Various F(-) ion-molecule complexes are also found, with the one having F(-) interacting with two hydrogen atoms in different alkyl groups to be only 9 kcal/mol higher than the above destruction product. These results suggest VX behaves quite differently from surrogate systems.  相似文献

DFT (both B3LYP and M06‐2X), CASSCF, and CASPT2 calculations were used to investigate competing [3, 3] and [3, 5] sigmatropic shifts and intramolecular [4+2] cycloaddition of 1,3,7‐octatriene. In accord with previous results on 1,5‐hexadiene, CASSCF calculations found both stepwise and concerted pathways for the [3, 3] rearrangement. For the competing [3, 5] sigmatropic rearrangement, CASSCF and CASPT2 calculations revealed three stepwise pathways with similar barriers. UB3LYP and UM06‐2X calculations predicted a different potential energy landscape: no stepwise [3, 3] pathway, only two competing [3, 5] sigmatropic shifts, and an intramolecular Diels–Alder cycloaddition/homolytic ring‐opening pathway. Significant lowering of barriers for all rearrangements was predicted for some 1,3,7‐octatrienes with substituents at the 4‐ and 7‐positions.  相似文献

Electronic structure methods were used to calculate the gas and aqueous phase reaction energies for reductive dechlorination (i.e., hydrogenolysis), reductive β-elimination, dehydrochlorination, and nucleophilic substitution by OH? of 1,2,3-trichloropropane. The thermochemical properties ΔH(f)°(298.15 K), S°(298.15 K, 1 bar), and ΔG(S)(298.15 K, 1 bar) were calculated by using ab initio electronic structure calculations, isodesmic reactions schemes, gas-phase entropy estimates, and continuum solvation models for 1,2,3-trichloropropane and several likely degradation products: CH3?CHCl?CH2Cl, CH2Cl?CH2?CH2Cl, C?H2?CHCl?CH2Cl, CH2Cl?C?H?CH2Cl, CH2═CCl?CH2Cl, cis-CHCl═CH?CH2Cl, trans-CHCl═CH?CH2Cl, CH2═CH?CH2Cl, CH2Cl?CHCl?CH2OH, CH2Cl?CHOH?CH2Cl, CH2═CCl?CH2OH, CH2═COH?CH2Cl, cis-CHOH═CH?CH2Cl, trans-CHOH═CH?CH2Cl, CH(═O)?CH2?CH2Cl, and CH3?C(═O)?CH2Cl. On the basis of these thermochemical estimates, together with a Fe(II)/Fe(III) chemical equilibrium model for natural reducing environments, all of the reactions studied were predicted to be very favorable in the standard state and under a wide range of pH conditions. The most favorable reaction was reductive β-elimination (ΔG(rxn)° ≈ ?32 kcal/mol), followed closely by reductive dechlorination (ΔG(rxn)° ≈ ?27 kcal/mol), dehydrochlorination (ΔG(rxn)° ≈ ?27 kcal/mol), and nucleophilic substitution by OH? (ΔG(rxn)° ≈ ?25 kcal/mol). For both reduction reactions studied, it was found that the first electron-transfer step, yielding the intermediate C?H2?CHCl?CH2Cl and the CH2Cl?C?H?CH2Cl species, was not favorable in the standard state (ΔG(rxn)° ≈ +15 kcal/mol) and was predicted to occur only at relatively high pH values. This result suggests that reduction by natural attenuation is unlikely.  相似文献

A novel reaction of acylium and thioacylium ions, polar [4 + 2(+)] Diels-Alder cycloaddition with 1,3-dienes and O-heterodienes, has been systematically investigated in the gas phase (Eberlin MN, Cooks RG. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 1993; 115: 9226). This polar cycloaddition, yet without precedent in solution, likely forms cyclic 2,5-dihydropyrylium ions. Here we report the reactions of gaseous acylium ions [(CH(3))(2)N-C(+)=O, Ph-C(+)=O, (CH(3))(2)N-C(+)=S, CH(3)-C(+)=O, CH(3)CH(2)-C(+)=O, and CH(2)=CH-C(+)=O] with several 1-oxy-substituted 1,3-dienes of the general formula RO-CH=CH-C(R(1))=CH(2), which were performed to collect further evidence for cycloaddition. In reactions with 1-methoxy and 1-(trimethylsilyloxy)-1,3-butadiene, adducts are formed to a great extent, but upon collision activation they mainly undergo structurally unspecific retro-addition dissociation. In reactions with Danishefsky's diene (trans-1-methoxy-3-(trimethylsilyloxy)-1,3-butadiene), adducts are also formed to great extents, but retro-addition is no longer their major dissociation; the ions dissociate instead mainly to a common fragment, the methoxyacryl cation of m/z 85. This fragment ion is most likely formed with the intermediacy of the acyclic adduct, which isomerizes prior to dissociation by a trimethylsilyl cation shift. Theoretical calculations predict that meta cycloadducts bearing 1-methoxy and 1-trimethylsilyloxy substituents are unstable, undergoing barrierless ring opening induced by the charge-stabilizing effect of the 1-oxy substituents. In contrast, for the reactions with 1-acetoxy-1,3-butadiene, both the experimental results and theoretical calculations point to the formation of intrinsically stable cycloadducts, but the intact cycloadducts are either not observed or observed in low abundances. Both the isomeric ortho and meta cycloadducts are likely formed, but the nascent ions dissociate to great extents owing to excess internal energy. The ortho cycloadducts dissociate by ketene loss; the meta cycloadducts undergo intramolecular proton transfer to the acetoxy group followed by dissociation by acetic acid loss to yield aromatic pyrylium ions. Either or both of these dissociations, ketene and/or acetic acid loss, dominate over the otherwise favored retro-Diels-Alder alternative. The pyrylium ion products therefore constitute compelling evidence for polar [4 + 2(+)] cycloaddition since their formation can only be rationalized with the intermediacy of cyclic adducts.  相似文献
